Our stay was even better than expected. The cabin was spotless. Any spice or condiment was already at the cabin.
The area is just beautiful and quiet. It’s a little bit of a drive to go anywhere but it’s so worth the beauty and quietness.
We will definitely be back!

Very nice to work with, answered all my questions in short time. Very relaxing and beautiful in the mountains! We loved it!

The house and surrounding areas are amazing! The firepitnWe loved how close it was to Bryson City and Cherokee without having the feeling of being in town. The nearby swim hole with the small sliding rock was so nice and our kids loved it.

We really loved the cabin/house. My granddaughter just kept saying I love it, I love it, I love it. It was comfortable. The master bedrooms bed is like sleeping on a cloud. My granddaughters played in the stream everyday when we weren't off exploring.

We had an amazing time til the power went out, we lost access to starlink and were unable to notify the power company without driving 20 minutes to the nearest reception area. So when they say there’s no service, there’s no service!!
Aside from that, the place was super clean, had an excess of travel toiletries in case you forgot them. The waterfall off the back was soothing to say the least and the fire pit located to the side of the house provided a much need s’more date. My kids (12,13, 15) definitely enjoyed the place, especially during the outage, we all partook in a wicked game of hide and seek. Will definitely book again when get the chance.

The reviews are pretty accurate. The pictures of the cabin are accurate as well, although it is bigger than what we thought. Plenty of room for 2 families with a couple of small children. There is a den that we didn’t even use, it has 5 small couches.. You can hear the creek from the house. The steps to the creek are steep, but nothing most people can’t handle. We are in our 50s and had no problem. The road is just outside the creek, but there is very little traffic. The house is about 15 minutes away from town. It’s a long, curvy road. You will pass a lot of creeks and pretty scenery.
The gravel road is about a mile to the house. It’s just that, a gravel road, with some bumpy spots. Take it slow and you will be fine. The road is narrow, only 2 times in a 8 days did we have to pull over to let someone pass. The driveway is a bit tight for a one ton truck. All others will fit fine.
It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood. It’s meant to be a place to unwind and unplug. No cable or satellite. There is a fire stick for news. No cellular service.
All in all, it’s a great spot to enjoy the mountains, hike, and relax. Very reasonable and affordable.
Side note: you do have to take your trash to the trash station. It is a quick drive-thru service. It’s not a big deal. If you check out on a Sunday, make sure you throw away your food items on Saturday, because The trash station doesn’t open until 1 p.m. you will have to take your trash with you when check out. All other days 7 a.m.

It was wonderful. We sat by the waterfall in the evenings and in the morning we had coffee on the deck and enjoyed nature.

This is the perfect place to hide from your cares. The waterfall sang us to sleep at night. The house is well laid out and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

This was a beautiful cabin. It is well kept. The owners did an amazing job leaving information about the area, sites to visit, just about anything you may need. Just a wonderful place.

It is lovely to unplug and enjoy nature! Our four boys loved the gentle waterfalls and creek. It was the best stocked kitchen for cooking I have ever seen! We love to cook, visit, and enjoy the outdoors! This was a lovely place to escape to the country.

Lovely quiet place. Well designed for 2 couples plus others. Loved listening to the creek and waterfall. While remote, directions were excellent and checking in super easy. We’d go back.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we didn’t want to leave! We loved hearing the waterfall each night, very soothing! You could hear it from each of the bedrooms. It was so nice to actually unplug and relax! The kids played in the creek for hours instead of being in their devices! We will definitely be back.

I truly enjoyed everything about the place. One thing for people looking this cabin has 2 pull out beds as well as 3 others. You could easily sleep 10 here. This was just me and gf but we are always looking for the family cabin which is hard because amnt of people. This one would be perfect and we are going to keep on list for the full family next time. Close to everything beautiful view. Literally perfect

This is the first time I have rented a Vrbo listing and I couldn't be happier. The grandkids enjoyed the waterfalls and exploring the creek. There was ample room and the home had comfortable beds and sofas on which to sleep. The property owner was very informative and communicated in a timely manner via email and phone. It was a wonderful mountain getaway experience.

Beautiful remote cabin with wonderful view of creek. Remote but not too far from town. Centrally located between events we had planned for weekend. Plenty of room for family of 6. We enjoyed the disconnect of electronics due to no cellular service. The kids were outside being kids and we all enjoyed family time playing games together in the evenings.

My daughter and I had such a wonderful time Lovely place to stay. So peaceful and restful. Just what we needed. Sitting on the deck listening to the waterfall , sitting by the waterfall , what a treat. There is not one complaint. We do hope to come back. Thank you for the hospitality.

This was a cute house. Very peaceful. Underestimated the drive to town (22 minutes each way). Enjoyed our stay. Stairs to the waterfalls and creek were quite steep and hard to go down, something to hold onto would have helped. Overall a good experience.

This is a great place to stay when you want to get away from it all. The home is cozy with lots of room to spread out and the deck overlooking the waterfall is a great place to relax.

This was perfect for a weekend getaway. It is a bit remote, as you'll need to drive a bit up a windy road, then a gravel road. There is no cell service, as the listing mentions, but we were also not able to get logged onto the wifi, though there is a landline which came in handy a couple of times. This was not a problem for us though. The property is beautiful, and I would have hated to spend my time staring at a screen. I had a great time, and would definitely book here again!

The sound of the waterfall in the yard along with the birds makes for a great way to especially with a cup of coffee in the morning. At the opposite end of Alarka road where it goes to a dead-end is a hiking trail (you can research it on Google and it should tell you how to get to it). The trail is a little treacherous at times but very rewarding because as you go the 0.9 miles you get to see up close and personal some of the prettiest waterfalls including the one at the very end which is magnificent. Be sure to bring mosquito and bg repellent though. Overall we enjoyed the scenery and the peace and quiet

We stayed at Falls Melody for Memorial Day weekend including my four month old infant. It was super clean, smelled nice, had a decently stocked fridge with all kinds of condiments, kitchen was stocked with pots and pans, glasses, plates, bowls, you name it! The deck was wonderful and we spent a lot of time overlooking the falls. We also very much enjoyed the screened in porch. The internet was very spotty which isn’t the owner’s fault, it’s satellite internet and the weather got a little bad. The owner had so many movies (VHS/DVDs) to choose from so when we weren’t out exploring, we were watching movies in the GIANT DEN! I can’t say enough great things about the home, we absolutely loved everything about it. Can’t wait to book again!

This property had all the basics plus it was roomy and had a very well-stocked kitchen. The master had a king bed (older mattress?) and ensuite bath, the second bedroom had a newer looking queen mattress with its bathroom just outside the door. The view from the raised porch was nice particularly with the beautiful mountain stream babbling below. However, just beyond the stream was the main access road and when a vehicle went by, it created a large cloud of dust that would billow through. The location had its plusses and minuses as it was quite remote but the road in was a "no outlet" and the second half of the approach was a rutty, pot-holed narrow dirt road. The floors were broom swept but needed a good mopping as we had dirty feet from day one. Also, it was difficult to access the TVs as there were no instructions on how to work the remotes - never could figure out how to get channels on the family room tv. Also, the fireplace, barbeque grill and fire pit none of which had been cleaned. Last, you were responsible for hauling out your own trash which could pose a problem as indicated by several previous visitors like leaving at the crack of dawn like we did or being tightly packed with no room for it. Curiously the garbage truck went right by the house but did not stop probably because the owner does not subscribe to the service. Overall, we had a very nice vacation despite some of the shortcomings of the property.

We enjoyed the property very much. was exactly what we were looking for such as off the beaten path and in the mountains. Wish we could have stayed longer than the two days to allow more time to enjoy the deck and other amenities.

It’s very well equipped and clean. The beds are comfortable. The sound of rushing water just outside is a big plus. The road just off the balcony is busier than expected, and parking and turning around our F150 was a challenge. The plusses outweigh the negatives.

We really enjoyed our stay at this rental property. The host has made it feel like home with a well stocked kitchen and pantry items. Like previous reviews have said, the pictures do not do it justice. Sitting outside on the deck listening to the water running down the creek was my favorite part. The house is spacious and homey. I would suggest bringing extra towels because there were some but not many. Maybe towels were carried home accidentally by past guests? Not sure. I washed towels every day for my family of 4. Also, a lot of people commented about the trash. The dump is actually on the way to town so it was not terrible at all. We did leave on Sunday and have to carry a bag with us home and that was not fun. If you don't like curvy narrow mountain roads, this is not the neighborhood for you. Although, that's sometimes what it takes to see nature's beauty and that is truly showcased in this community.

We loved this cabin so much we returned for a second year! Our family includes 4 school aged children and the gift of a waterfall in the backyard as well as a gorgeous waterfall on the mountain make this a location you don’t have to leave the mountain for. Close to the Great Smoky National Park and a day trip away from Gatlinburg and Asheville, this off the grid cabin is a perfect mountain getaway to unplug and unwind. The host was very responsive and gracious with incidental things and we enjoyed our time in the area. I definitely recommend this to those who enjoy the outdoors.

Nice, peaceful retreat.
We enjoyed the peace and quiet of this home. My husband wasn't thrilled about the gravel, narrow road initially but he realized it was fine. The creek sounds were great to sleep by!!
