The Overlook at Lake Chatuge was incredible. The panoramic views are spectacular! We would highly recommend staying there. We will definitely try to return for our next mountain vacation.

Had a last minute long weekend stay over Labor Day - the pictures of this view don’t do it justice. It is breathtaking! This whole area around Lake Chatuge is just beautiful! We absolutely fell in love with the area and will be back. Grilled out steaks on back deck and enjoyed eating them to a beautiful sunset and that view- no restaurant could compete! So many things to do within 30 min drive - we did Brasstown Bald, Cupid Falls at Young Harris College, walked cross the dam at Lake Chatuge in Hayesville, NC (10 min drive - don’t miss this - it’s incredibly beautiful and free), Cherokee Homestead Exhibit in Hayesville, Anna Ruby Falls, Helen - and so much more we wanted to do! Doug was a great host- sent us recommendations on things to do, communicated, and cabin was immaculately clean! Did I mention the view - still can’t get over it!

Oh my goodness, where do I start? This place is like a little slice of heaven! The pictures don’t even come close to capturing the breathtaking views from the decks – you have to see it to believe it! 🌄
We enjoyed the stunning scenery while relaxing in the fabulous hot tub every evening, and our morning coffee with those same amazing views was the perfect start to each day. 🌸🛁☕

Beautiful home atop Ramey Mountain. The view from the wrap-around porch for Lake Chatuge is amazing! Add to the view is one of the best hot tubs I've ever enjoyed. I was in Hiawassee for a motorcycle rally and the roads there are built for motorcycle riding. The home was nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Doug was a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend!

The pictures for this one really do not do it justice! The views from the decks are absolutely stunning. We spent every morning and evening relaxing our sore hiking muscles in the fabulous hot tub.
There is so much to do for nature lovers like us - waterfalls abound and really beautiful and fun drives!
The only thing that needs improvement is the cookware and cooking utensils need replacing. Otherwise, everything was perfect for us.
The property owner was really friendly and on the ball with instructions and communication.
Highly recommend! We will be back!

My boyfriend and I live in Atlanta and he's never been to GA mountains and decided we wanted to getaway for the weekend. My only requirement was that the view was breathtaking and there was a hot tube, Eye Candy exceeded both requirements. The house is a little outdated but the beds are comfortable and the view can't be beat. The fireplace didn't work though which was a little disappointing but we got over it. Would definitely stay here again for the view and hot tub!

We have visited the Hiawassee area many time and love the area, but have never had an unobstructed view like this home has!! Great and thoughtful use of space inside and out. We hope to visit again! Don’t hesitate- just book it!

Eye candy is the perfect name for this cabin as the views were breathtaking and the cabin was cute and well furnished. We had a small hiccup with no soap or shampoo as the cleaner must have forgotten to restock, but Doug was quick to communicate. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway! The location was also very convenient to several activities and grocery stores.

We stayed 4 days. The weather was great for 2 days then the rain. It was still nice with the fireplace and all the windows. Cabin is completely furnished with everything you need. The furnishings are warm and comfortable. The little extras make it a perfect place. Hot tub looks new and was nice in the rain. Host is excellent and furnished lots of info about the area.

We had an amazing time! That view was breathtaking. Deer and a bunny would visit us everyday. Everything we needed for cooking and grilling was available. Every morning and evening we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and looking out over the water and mountains. We will be back!!!

The cabin was comfortable and had an amazing view even with how cloudy our stay was. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not working while we were there and since all 4 of our days we stayed were rainy during the day prohibiting us from hiking (and interrupting that beautiful view), the hot tub could have been the thing to make the stay so much more in the evenings when the rain cleared. We did receive a small refund for the lack of hot tub use, to be fair. But it was still a huge bummer to not have that as it was the second selling point beyond the view for me to book it in the first place. They had a lightning strike that had damaged it and I'm sure it will be working again for the next guests... The repair guy just wasn't able to get there in time for us to use it.

We stayed here for Father's Day and had a wonderful weekend. The view is amazing. Every bedroom has a great view. The lake town is great for the family and Doug is a very solicitous host.

The property's online description was accurate and the view was breathtaking! There are sliding doors from every room to access the deck.There were plenty of towels and the necessities to cook a meal. The hot tub was amazing! I would like to lovingly say that the main bedroom mattress was too hard for us (to each his own preference) and we ended up sleeping in the other two beds which were very comfortable. If I had been there longer, I would have gifted the owner's a memory foam mattress topper for the main bedroom. We loved the cabin that much! ❤️ We would definitely go back. It was our first trip to stay in Hiawassee

This property isn't far from the main highway and is in a mountain community, but it has amazing views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Chatuge and nearby houses are so well placed that you really don't notice they are there. The house has a nice layout with access to the wraparound deck from the living room and every bedroom The hot tub is in a great spot on the deck for amazing views in every direction. The host is very familiar with the area and shares his knowledge freely prior to your arrival. We had a wonderful long weekend in the area thanks to the host and this perfectly placed house. We look forward to coming back soon.

The house itself is nice and cozy, but the view is truly amazing! We had 2 preteens and 3 adults, and there was ample room to sleep and spread out. There are tons of games, DVDs, etc. We will definitely book again.

The home was very clean and organized. I loved the labeling in the kitchen because I am a stickler for items to be returned to where they belong.
My only suggestion would be more cookware as I love to cook.

The property was beautiful and just as described online. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. I do appreciate that they have a weekly trash pickup service (this may not seem like much but every other rental I’ve stayed in in Hiawassee, we have to take our own trash to the landfill so this was a plus!). There were plenty of movies and games for our 9 and 3 year old. The only issue I noticed was that master bathroom shower caulking definitely needs to be replaced. This isn’t a big deal but it did look kind of gross. The bed in the master bedroom is hard as a rock, which I noticed others said the same thing so I was expecting it but I was shocked at how hard it was when I actually sat on it. Also, the property has a downstairs area that is locked. With my spouse being law enforcement, that didn’t sit well with him because there is a door leading to the downstairs area that is accessible from inside the upstairs living area so he was uncomfortable not knowing what was down there and that was also not advertised. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

The views from this property are breathtaking and every bit as beautiful as the pictures. Every room has a view and as much as I love a wood burning fireplace, the gas fireplace was simple to start and warming on cold mornings and nights. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean. The only thing I would suggest is printed and laminated instructions on the TV’s. My husband and I are seniors and we had trouble figuring them out and never did get to watch TV in the master bedroom.
Also just a note….the drive up to the home has some sharp turns and steep climbs (we got there after dark and it was raining, so a bit hairy for us) and I’m sure it is great for a normal vehicle, but we have a handicapped accessible van with ramp and had some issues getting in and out of the driveway due to how low our vehicle sits. I’m sure this isn’t a problem for a normal vehicle.

Very cozy home with amazing views of mountains, Hiawassee and the lake. There was even a Christmas Tree to welcome us! We were also greeted a few times by a family of deer. Being from Florida, the drive up the road was steep and so a little intimidating but how else will you get the views this home has? I must also mention the fireplace was a nice treat especially for the chilly days we were there! There was a selection games and movies. The sheets and towels all smelled fresh and clean. I would only recommend that maybe the Master Bath shower grout is given a little extra attention.

I chose this property for the amazing view and it did not disappoint. Our intent was to relax and "do nothing" and our plan worked out perfectly. Doug, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. He called shortly before we arrived to tell us the fireplace was broken & could not be fixed for our stay, which was a bummer, but honestly we probably wouldn't have used it much anyway. We spent all our time on the very nice deck enjoying the view. Hope to stay here again in the future.
