Full of drugs users, homeless people (nothing wrong with that, they have to be housed somewhere). The room was very basic, the door did not lock properly, a push even if it was locked would have opened it from the outside. I felt unsafe. Throughout the night I could hear people talking loudly, wondering around the hotel at all hours. The room smelt fusty and of urine on arrival. Hot water was ok but the shower head was not attached. No hot water to the bathroom sink. The reception staff was rude and unhelpful. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GIVE THEM YOUR BANK CARD DETAILS!!! They had the audacity to take £50 from my bank account without my consent because they said my room ‘smelt of piss’ when going in to clean it. The room had a stench of urine anyway when I arrived!!! I stay all over the country as I’m a contractor and this is the worst place I have ever stayed in! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! This should not be on booking.com…..

The bed was ok
The building looked like it was due for refurbishment, the shower was not easy to use as the nozzle would not stay on the wall, there only appeared to be 1 actual staff member, she was good, and very helpful, it appeared to have multiple dinning rooms which were all ready to go, but no kitchen staff, it felt like they were getting ready to close the place, (hint, do not stay here)

Staff were lovely and the shower was nice and hot.
Small but adequate and clean room.

it is cheap and the staff are super friendly and location wise it is perfect for us
the mattress was incredibly uncomfortable, I could feel every lump, spring and the base board. I managed to sleep the second night mainly due to exhaustion and pain killers from the days activities elsewhere locally. there was an issue with another guest our first morning at 7am where there was smoking in the room, no fault of the hotel itself but it did mean that we were wide awake well before we were due to and was a jarring start to our day! we decided to get up there and then and head of to our place of business that day.

nothing really
dirty, smelly, basic and used as a halfway house for vulnerable people on the second floor which wasn’t listed on booking.com
The photos shown on the site bear no resemblance to the actual rooms on offer.
bed bugs, fag burns in the duvet and being woken up at 0220 by two men knocking at your door to check for leaks doesn’t make for a decent stay

Room was clean
Room bit dated. Did not feel safe with room door with only 1 screw holding on a Yale lock.
1.8
nothing
the doors were broken, the TV does not work, a really heavy smell, a lot of noise and overall a really bad experience
1.8
Radiators were on and there was hot water for a shower in the morning.
No TV
Humming sound from noise in next room sounded like a generator or fan and was constant all night long.

It was a cheap night stay.
Someone else was given the key to my room and let himself in whilst me and my son were settling in. We went to reception and he was given his right room and key. With only an apology.
Windows were screwed shut so very hot and humid.
Bathroom door didn't shut.

The staff were friendly and the location isn't far from Alton Towers.
The carpet is very smelly, the floor is very noisy, the windows are broken and couldn't close properly. We paid for two days and left on the first night. WOREST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

Comfortable bed
Friendly staff
No toilet roll
1 out of 5 lights worked
Fight outside the room late at night
Tv remote stuck with cellotape
No tea/coffee to go with kettle

The hotel exceed our expectation with the cheap price we paid.
Just the creaky floor, really.
1.8
It was very warm which was good because it was super cold outside
The entire place needs a complete upgrade, it's massively outdated. Equipment in the rooms is lacking and dated. It's basically good if you just need a bed
1.8
Close to town that's it
No hot water for 5days had to boil the kettle for an hour and half to have a warm bath after a 12 hour shift cleaner's only made the and not changed the bedding

Did not have breakfast but the staff was good.
The area and the security around the hotel was scary for my partner and I.
1.8
Staff were friendly and location good for Alton towers
Room was dirty and uncomfortable. No hot water. Walls are so thin you can hear everything going on in the other rooms and outside. We were woken up by car alarms and people shouting at each other outside in the middle of the night.
