Perfect hotel for family stays

The staff was incredible and breakfast was exceptional. so friendly and kind to our children. The views were stunning and the boat museum holds sentimental memories for me, so it was special to stay there. Having the swans swim by at breakfast was so unique.

Ideal location and very quiet, updating required internally

Location

I had a ground floor room very dated, wonky toilet sleep and the bed is in need of replacing. You can also smell the food from the early hours which put me off breakfast!

Hotel responded positively to our request for a quiet bedroom . Staff very friendly approachable and helpful . Peaceful location all was clean and comfortable.All you could want from a hotel while travelling.

Enjoy a hidden jem in Chester.

The place is very nice, amazing and quite. You enjoy the warm welcoming team and the help is vey quick and up to the expectations. The room is clean and good size for the four of us. My two children were happy. Food and breakfast are fine.

Tout est absolument parfait. Accueil formidable. Lits très confortables. Petit déjeuner extra, offert pour nos 2 enfants. Vraiment une très très bonne adresse.

Do not book this hotel if you have children or like to use the leisure facilities.

The beds were really comfortable .

The floor in the bed room had slithers of glass on the carpet my grandson and my daughter cut there foot on. The guest in the a- joining room banged hell out of the door shouting to stop making a noise making my 4yr old grandaughter as she opened her suite case to get her swimming things out singing as she was excited she was then in tears. We went swimming at the hotel very disappointed we had togo from the hotel to separate outside building to the pool freezing and wet outside with 2 young children. The pool was fine dated but ok the changing rooms dirty , wooden skirting boards rotten wood , Toilets both disabled and other dirty stinking of what smells like sewage. All in All VERY DISAPPOINTED WILL NOT BE RETURNING OR RECOMMENDING THE HOTEL. Shame as i had saved to give my daughter and grandchildren a nice weekend away to get over a very upsetting couple of months they had been through. Not Happy

Good enough.

Breakfast was nice. Fresh. Rooms were easily temperature controlled so nice and warm.

Beds were uncomfortable. Mattress was hard. Shower wasn’t hot, was only warm.

Nice hotel for what we needed the one night

Great location. Room lovely and bar area nice

The pool was in a different building, changing rooms could have done with a clean/update. We stayed when there was a wedding which was noisy - but the team in the hotel were great and can’t fault them for their service.

Christmas shopping at Cheshire Oaks

Lovely friendly Staff. This was my second visit. Lovely food, nice clean room. Nice breakfast area which Staff managed brilliantly. Nice bar/lounge area and Lovely surroundings.

If I was to critise anything I would say the bathroom/shower cld do with updating. Not keen on shower curtains but was clean. Could do with different light switches for each bedside lamp. They were either all on or all off. Could not turn off individually.

Nice peaceful hotel comfortable beds

Loved the scenic element of the hotel very peaceful. Large spacious and clean rooms very comfortable bed. Quiet hotel and lovely reception staff.

Girl with red hair on the bar not friendly at all did not smile and said they were not serving coffee at 2pm after we checked in? Also was more interested in speaking to the men drinking their pints at the bar rather than serving people waiting of seeing if you needed assistance. We went for coffee elsewhere. This is not a reflection of the other staff.

Great hotel clean room, good food, nice bar and lovely staff.

Good location, nice room that overlooked the waterway and the museum, breakfast was lovely and all the staff were very helpful and polite. Would highly recommend if visiting Liverpool, chester etc and the free parking was a bonus.
