Translate to English: "The hotel is located very close to Zhongshan Park metro station. It is cheap and easy to get there from Hongqiao Airport, only 4 metro stations away. It is also 4-5 metro stations away from the picturesque Bund. The staff is friendly and discreet, very helpful. I had a room on the 36th floor with a beautiful view of Shanghai. On the 58th floor, there is an excellent lounge with alcohol and snacks. It's worth getting the package."

The room was clean and had the necessary facilities. The hotel itself is pleasant and safe. The location in the Zhongshan Park area is very good.
The room itself seemed very average considering that the price was well above average. We chose this hotel because it has a swimming pool, only to be told a few days before our stay that the pool was temporarily closed and no compensation would be offered for that.

The room was comfortable and everything that I could expect from the Renaissance. Breakfast was extensive with a good mix of Western and Asian options. The staff was helpful in the restaurant. The shopping center below the hotel is really convenient, so I could grab a quick dinner in the evening, while working.
The overall experience was as expected.
The wifi didn't work a lot of the time and it often connected without internet. there is already a big restriction in China on the use of many applications, so it's was hard to stay in touch with family during this trip.
The staff at the reception didn't seem to understand the fact that I needed a detailed invoice (since it was a business trip), which came as a surprise to me. I don't believe I'm the first one to need a full invoice upon check out.

The room is clean and the navigator on the 1st floor is very helpful.
Customer service in general. The check in and check out when I was there was extremely slow and the front desk staffs are not trained well for 5 star hotel. They are not professional, not attentive, not warm and not attentive.

Great location
Things in the room didn’t work a lamp and the blind on the bathroom window. Also the bar wasn’t open.

Navigator Ralph is so fantastic. We were in a hurry for the railway station, taking taxi will cost longer than taking subway. But we had too many luggages to carry. After knowing we had problem with going to the subway station with a two years old following us, he dragged two large luggage’s and sent us to the subway through a best route, we are so thankful for his help, we might miss the train without his help. 10 stars to Ralph.
there were only two bath towel for three, and one of them looks not clean. this might be the only problem we met.

location is great. room is comfy
breakfast is not good. cleanliness level could be better, towels are way over used. hotel maintenance is so so. the cleaning lady knocked the door and woke up our baby even though we had a "do not disturb sign on our room"

+ Almost city center (a lot of restaurants and shopping malls around).
+ View from the bathroom.
+ Reception brought a birthday cake for me. It was very sweet and surprising, considering the fact that my birthday was 6 month ago.
- From the very beginning a girl on reception tried to give us another room. When we came to the room and checked that it was cheaper one, and definitely not which we booked, other girl changed room for us and gave exactly which we were booking.
- Roof bar didn't work, and I think, you should update your info so guests can be updated too. We chose your hotel because of the bar on the top of the building but in the end, reception told us its closed for repairing.
- Jacuzzi in the swimming area was broken and didn't work at all. Temperature in a swimming pool was far from comfortable (too cold).
- Breakfast can be more western, coz it was almost everything Chinese style cuisine.

Location
We stayed here because of the club lounge on the 58th floor but it now shut down and on the 26th floor where everyone in the hotel gets breakfast etc.. it’s definitely lost the special feeling where a lot of our family memories have been created. We got offered a upgrade then was showed the room and accepted the room and went back to the receptionist where she then told me that would be an extra 4000 rmb charge for that room not like she said before a free upgrade. She said maybe I miss understood as I’m a westerner but it was spoken in English and Chinese because we actually live in Shanghai and have for the last 8 years so never misunderstood her. Once I spoke to the GM it was made clear very quickly she offered me this without authorisation from her boss. After around 30 minutes on the phone with him we finally got the upgrade for free. What stress to have on my wife’s birthday and she just wanted to go home because of this. If I knew the club lounge was not fully operational I would have booked another hotel plus I did call and email to make sure this was the case also the swimming pool to be open. I think on Booking.com they should be able to see when a pool is closed or club lounge is not as the normal. All in all very disappointing but accepted the upgrade and stayed.
