Perfect Hotel & location

Great room with a balcony overlooking the River. Clean, comfortable, coffee machine and fridge loaded with miniatures. Great staff, Adina on reception was so helpful getting us checked in early for a wedding nearby. This is also a great location for strawberry hill within walking distance.

Spacious modern hotel in lovely historic locale

The room was large and well equipped with an interesting mixture of modern and retro furnishings. As a Pope scholar I appreciated the relatively tasteful pictorial representations and historical prints, and Mavis Batey's lovely book. Everything was beautifully clean and bright. Location is, of course, superb, being on the site of Pope's original home and garden and with the same view of the Thames - and, in present-day terms, close to the historical centre of Twickenham.

Well, we didn't need a king-sized bed, especially one that consisted of two singles put together. It wasn't very comfortable.

Overall very happy

The rooms were great. Very clean and comfortable. Really nice bathroom too. Very nice location with good parking. Bus stop very close.

We thought the bar keeper probably had a bad day. For that reason we had only one drink at the hotel and moved on to the next pub

OK, but not worth the fee charged due to my experiences.

OK, apart from the hair I found in my first breakfast. Food was good apart from that one incident - staff were apologetic and I was given another breakfast. Hair strand was too long to be mine, and too short to be the waitress's.

As above. Plus on first night neighbour fell asleep with TV on. Night manager tried to wake the person but to no avail. I think the neighbours TV timed out eventually.

Lovely hotel pub beautiful rooms great breakfast

The room was beautiful , very comfortable and a large room . Bathroom was super lovely shower, can’t fault the room in any way Fantastic breakfast too

Lady on the phone was bulshy not polite very abrupt , not polite in anyway . She never smiled at all , she let the whole place down. Other members of staff were nice enough

Overnight stay watching the London Sevens Rugby.

Friendly, helpful staff, spotless room, good dinner and breakfast, good value for location.

Our room had an adjoining door to the room next door, sound proofing was not good so we had some disturbed sleep from noisy neighbours.

Great location, well priced, great brekkie just a shame about the 4am fire alarm!

Breakfast was great. Hotel was neat and tidy and well laid out. Nice location. Free parking which was convenient.

Fire alarm at 4am not so good! No one arrived for 7 minutes. No register taken. No apology in morning. No communication from management. They left it to us to approach for a part refund and for the receptionist to deal with it. Such a shame as the venue has so much potential but lack of leadership lets it down.

Overall we had a very good stay at this hotel great location for us with some room for improvements

Food we had was very good Location excellent

Staff were not welcoming, poor service during the meal we had. Lights in the room kept flickering plus poor lighting in room. Lack of information in room, regarding tv, mini bar and tourist leaflets.

Exceptional

All staff were extremely friendly, love atmosphere around the dining and bar area. Receptionist when we arrived went out of her way to see if our room could be ready earlier than intended, as we had a tour to do.

Shower wasn't working, but staff dealt with it quickly, giving us access to an alternative room and made a voluntary reduction to our bill. Handled well by staff on duty.

Superb

Location, free onsite parking, friendly reception staff as well as the staff in the restaurant. The room was amazing, I got the room at the front of the hotel with the view of the River Thames. Very useful to have the honesty tray, fridge and free water/biscuits. The bathroom is a good size and very good lighting. A very comfortable bed also with good heating.

The lighting in the room itself could have been better especially if you're working on your laptop.

Couldn’t have asked for a more friendly welcome, very nice room with balcony. Gorgeous toiletries in the bathroom, soft

Easy parking, really friendly welcome when we booked in. Lovely room with very comfy bed, crisp white bedding.

Room needs a little bit of a refresh. Poor quality ingredients for the cooked breakfast.
