**SPECIAL NOTES -- PLEASE READ FIRST**
-- We typically require 3- or 4-night weekends, based on the season; and defer to longer stay groups (4-5+ nights) over weekends beyond 21 days in advance. We release remaining weekend inventory within the 21-day window, or when other bookings align. Please feel free to inquire about any forward dates prior to a booking request, as we sometimes get overlapping requests.
-- Some special event dates may require longer stays, such as: Lollapalooza, Chicago Marathon, holidays, etc. Please inquire first, thanks!
-- We normally don't book more than 6 months in advance, except for extended stay groups or special circumstances.
We'd love to welcome you into our newly renovated, upscale Chicago condo for short or long term stays. Our ideal downtown location is just two subway stops (~10-12 minutes) from the loop, Michigan Ave. shopping, museums & Lake Michigan. Other neighborhoods & nightlife areas such as Bucktown, Wicker Park, River North and Lincoln Park are nearby. Some great River West bars & restaurants are also walking distance from our place.
This is a private 3-BR, 2-BA condo of a three-unit building. (It is one floor below our other listing in the same building, #3656716. These may be combined for larger groups.)
It features new stainless appliances, wide-plank bamboo floors, modern fixtures, custom tile baths, jacuzzi-style jets in master BA tub, exposed brick, wi-fi internet, big screen TV, dishwasher, air conditioning, garbage disposal, washer/dryer, and a huge outdoor deck! Free street parking is available in our neighborhood, and/or we also can rent one garage space if needed.
Each of the three bedrooms has a queen bed, large closets and carpeting. A premium queen sofabed (Room & Board) is also located in the living room, so the home sleeps 8 comfortably. An airbed is also available. There are 2 full bathrooms (one en suite in the master bedroom), each with custom tile and vanities.
From airports: we are a quick, easy and direct 40 minute train ride to O'hare airport, or single change from Midway airport. Our house is just 1 block from the Chicago Ave. blue line subway stop, and Chicago / Milwaukee bus lines. Taxis are also abundant in our neighborhood.
Several restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. are nearby and within walking distance. Some of our favorites include:
- The Dawson -- excellent food including brunch, top-rated cocktails + outdoor bar
- Piccolo Sogno and La Scarola -- top Italian
- Big Shoulders -- casual, original source coffee shop one block away
- Butterfly Thai & Sushi -- our favorite neighborhood spot!
- Frontier -- organic and unique meats
- Matchbox -- our favorite bar, the smallest & most intimate in Chicago!
- G&O -- eclectic bar menu with brunch on weekends
- Dove's -- excellent soul/southern food brunch in nearby Bucktown!
We are 25+ year Chicago veterans, and are happy to recommend attractions, nightlife (some of our friends are club owners), tips on getting around, etc. Just let us know how we can help!
We look forward to hosting you!
* Please note that we typically require 3-night minimum stays for weekends.
**Also check out our other 3-BR listing in the same building, #3656716. Great for combining large groups, families, reunions, corporate events, etc. When combined, the two units can sleep 20+!

I was in town for business and this property was exactly what it advertised. Will stay again!

The VRBO was exactly as described. The place was very clean, the beds (except the sleeper sofa) were very comfortable , and the location was perfect. We used the L or the buses on most outings as the stops were so close and the schedule easy to figure out. The neighborhood was safe, close to grocery and pharmacy stores, and quiet. The host was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this spot!
Chicago was beautiful, and the people were friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Was great Place to stay for our long weekend in
Chicago - convenient location

The location was very close to a subway entrance. Public transportation in Chicago was easy to use and reasonably priced for a 7 day pass. There is the Windy City Cafe right by the subway entrance. They had great breakfast options, the Elvis waffles was a big hit with my son.
The apartment had all appliances, cookware and dishes needed. We cooked minimally, but everything to cook with was available.
The beds were very comfortable, extra blankets were in the closets.
Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.

The property is ultra convenient to the center of Chicago. El subway train is one block away. Coffee shops, restaurants and great bars all within easy walking distance. Wry clean and well appointed. I would definitely rent here again.

We are a group of six friends who enjoy exploring together. The condo proved to fit our needs completely. Having the train conveniently located to take us from the airport to the condo was a plus after a long day of travel. The location of the condo was perfect for us to catch the blue line into the heart of the city. Although we chose to eat out instead of preparing meals in the large kitchen, it was well supplied with needed dishes and utensils. The living room was large and conveniently arranged so we could enjoy conversation after our long day of exploring this beautiful city. The comfortable beds were appreciated after miles of walking during our long days. There is so much to see in the wonderful city that I would not hesitate for a return trip. We would definitely enjoy another stay in this lovely condo.

We loved staying here! The layout of the condo is great, and the location is awesome. Just a block or so from the blue line, plus easy access to buses; a good launch pad for driving as well, with location right off of Elston. We will definitely try to book the property again in the future.

Cozy 3br in a perfect location for our Salt Shed concert visit. Windy City Cafe is a go to breakfast spot. Pizza, coffee, CVS, Beer and wine all a very short walk away. Beds were comfortable, place was clean, showers were hot. Hans was a very responsive and friendly host. We slept 2 couples and one adult comfortably with room for another guest on the couch. Would reserve again!

We loved the ease of access to public transportation.

This property was perfect for our Northwestern Graduation stay!! The hosts’recommendations for dining and activities were excellent! Convenient and cozy!!

We had a great experience here. Close to everything, spacious and affordable.

My family enjoyed staying here. The location was convenient for visiting many other areas of Chicago. The VRBO description matched our experience. Hans was very communicative and a great host.

Fantastic location, near CTA and lots of restaurants. So easy to get food we barely used the well-stocked kitchen. Cute neighborhood. As other reviews noted, there is indeed city noise. This isn't a hotel, it's how Chicagoans live. If that's not what you're looking for, get a hotel room. This is for people who enjoy remembering what it's like to live in a real city.

We liked the location of the property and communication. The only drawback was the street noise and the light in the bedrooms from the street lights. I’d stay here again if visiting Chicago.

We met at this place in Chicago for Thanksgiving so we could be together with our adult children. Our three children are scattered so we met in Chicago. We enjoyed being able to cook a full Thanksgiving meal along with other meals in this kitchen. We really liked the layout of the condo. Especially the kitchen off of the main area. Hans was very helpful with questions big and small. We were close enough to downtown to walk when the weather cooperated. Great memories were made!!

Great location for eating, shopping or sightseeing. Was easy to get an Uber, the blue line or a Divvy bike anywhere we needed to go. Hans was easy to work with and the space was perfect to hang out in between activities and comfortable for all.

Property was ina great location where we could walk to many areas and take public transit to others. Even had a garage for car! Property manager was responsive and helpful. Definitely a good place to stay for a visit to Chicago!

I love the location of this condo! We could get to many of the places we wanted to go to quite easily. The condo was lovely and very comfy for the 4 of us.

We enjoyed our stay at this location. For future stays we will be double checking what floor we are on or if we will be having neighbors that way we know our kids won't be to noisy and can enjoy their stay as well :) Other then that the property is beautiful and I would stay with out my children again.

Hans was very easy to work with and was very efficient with his communication. The house had everything we needed for our weekend stay. The place is in a great neighborhood with many restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Hans gave many recommendations, which we took him up on, and loved the places we ate and drank at!

We had a great time and enjoyed this property. Hans was a great host and very helpful with area places to visit. Great pizza and so close to area coffee shops. Thanks again for having a great place to stay beds are so comfy.

We were very happy with this rental and hope to stay here again. The location was wonderful; very central and with lots to walk to close by - food, shopping, urban trail. The unit is on the ground floor and was just as pictured. It was clean, comfortable and had a nice decor. Beds were quite comfortable. We did not cook, but kitchen seemed well stocked with a lot of supplies. And bathrooms were extremely well stocked with toiletry items (more than any rental I've had!). Hans was great to deal with. Easy to communicate with and helpful with a lot of suggestions for the area. We needed help getting tv connected and he responded immediately and assisted us. And when our last day's plans changed, he kindly let us stay several hours after usual check out time, which helped us tremendously.

We enjoyed the property and location. Public transportation was a block away with at most 1 change to another bus or train to all of the major tourist museums and sites. Hans was easy to work with. I recommend staying here.
