A charming, friendly and perfectly located hotel in Turin with unique, artist-designed rooms, a great restaurant and real character. The staff were really lovely - friendly, helpful and always on hand to offer chilled water which was very welcome! It also has beautiful interior decor with period features and an art nouveau style
We loved the location - in the heart of a gradually gentrifying neighborhood so expect to find casual bars, trendy spots for drinks, antique furniture shops, excellent Middle Eastern food and contemporary dining (we liked Safara a few minutes walk away). Piazza della Republica for its massive market is right round the corner too.
Breakfast was also excellent, which isn't always the case in Italy if you're used to a more substantial offering - we enjoyed bread, cold meats and some great soft cheeses, plus espresso coffee and cappuccino, pastries, fresh fruit and home made yoghurt! Fortunately we still had an appetite to enjoy a really excellent dinner in the San Giors restaurant: authentic Piedmontese dishes (polenta, liver, pasta con fagioli, an epic cheese board), local wines and friendly service.
Highly recommended!
Our only gripe was that there was no air conditioning in the room just a ceiling fan - but this can be quite standard in north Italy and the fan still kept us cool

Quirky rooms, each decorated by a local artist. Good breakfast and an excellent restaurant in the evening - we ate there twice out of our three nights.

This is a good option if you want to explore Turin. Friendly people and great Italian breakfast. Only minor point is the size of the double bed. Bit too small for us. If you are on the street side not all the rooms are good.
Size of the bed.

The restauarant was pretty and breakfast was good.
The hotel didn't have an elevator. The rooms were extremely small, and had thin walls with no TV or fridge. The rooms on the road were extremely noisy and the trams went all night. The bathroom was last renovated in 1967 or thereabouts. The locaction was also out of the centre.

room very basic, bathroom is old with rusty corners

I loved this hotel. It felt like staying with an old friend without the awkwardness. In the hotel world where homogenisation is key. It is nice to find a quirky hotel with an individual approach and good customer service. It's not modern and it doesn't have all the latest mod cons, but it feels right and the breakfast was great.
Not much really, maybe a bigger shower if I was being picky.

Extremely friendly staff, interesting historical building, tasteful interior renovation. Good location, close to the main Turin market hall, one of the largest in Europe.

Excellent welcome, wonderful atmosphere with lots of eye-catching touches, delicious breakfast and dinner, refillable glass bottles of cold still or sparkling water which we appreciated in hot weather, comfortable room, great shower, excellent area for exploring, the hotel manager and personnel were extremely approachable and helpful throughout and made the whole stay an easygoing and stylish experience

thé position of the hotel is literally a five minute walk to gare du Montparnasse
perhaps a little tired around the edges and there were no coffee facilities in the room.

The hotel had a beautiful ground floor bar and restaurant. Nice atmosphere on the ground floor.
The restaurant food is tasty and traditional.
The upstairs corridors and rooms are of a completely different style. The room was very simple, with some nice furniture, but the overall feeling was quite sad and sterile. Very weird uncomfortable art installation all around the ceiling. The bed was uncomfortable, and there were continuous sounds coming out of an air purifying system they have in the room which made it very hard to sleep properly. The bathroom is old. The location wasn't great, but you are walking distance to the center so that is good. We were there for the Gran Balon so we didn't mind being right by the the market, our room was facing the indoor courtyard. The staff was not particularly friendly. I think in general the price we paid for the room was way too much for the type of service the hotel gives and the quality of the room.

The location was good although the signage board was misleading.
The proprietor was courteous and helpful. The original room that was allowed was not made up when we went to the room. The management allowed another room which was too small. The major disadvantage is there is no life and the rooms are all on the first and the second floor.
The staff was helpful and one dinner we had was excellent.
No lift; bathroom was too small; the room itself was small.

The room and bed is small but suitable for one person. The inside is very stylish because it’s designed by modern designer. The breakfast is super fresh and delicious and professional, you could order whatever you prefer. Highly recommended because of the breakfast and nice staffs.
Single room is a little small but it’s okay.

It is in the heart of the balon that runs each Saturday . The hotel has a restaurant, but you also have places to eat nearby .

San Giors is an art hotel. Very nice having any room different one from each other both as furniture (always bric&brac) and as decoration (different artists cooperating).
In the breakfast a little more salt choice could be appreciated. But it's absolutely venial.
