Enkelt och bra boende! Välstädat och bra möjlighet för barnen att leka på den stora bakgården.

Det skulle vara ett större kök då det är många familjer som vill laga mat samtidigt.

Bra läge och sköna sängar

Sängarna var supersköna. Bodde i ett 4-bäddsrum med en dubbelsäng och en våningssäng. Det städades varje dag så det var fräscht på allmänna utrymmen som toalett och kök. Stor uteplats och baksida med gröna ytor för barnen att springa på. Läget! I princip granne med tågstationen. Lätt att ta sig upp till centrum.

Duscharna. Vattnet svämmade över pga dålig rinning till avlopp. Önskvärt om det finns draperi för varje dusch så fler kan använda duscharna och inte en i taget. Handdusch saknas. Byte av blandare önskas så det blir lättare att reglera värmen. Uteplatsen kunde haft mer "leksaker" till barnen som någon gunga, mindre rutschkana etc. Lånesaker som kubb, hopprep mm är också trevligt. Hade också varit trevligt med innesaker att låna som spel, böcker etc. Trångt i kylen. Frys och hylla/låda för skafferiförvaring saknas också. Tips är att ställa in en låda i kylning uppmärkt med rumsnummer. Lättare då att hålla isär matvaror mellan sällskapen. Förvaring i rummen obefintlig. Tips är att sätta upp långa hyllor med klädstång i rummen så man kan packa upp några saker. Varmt och kvavt i rummen vilket ifs berodde på vädret ute. En fläkt i rummet hade dock underlättat.

Hostel - nicht mehr mein Ding

Die Lage. Mein Sohn (3.5) hatte seinen Spass mit den Hochbetten.

Die Ausstattung war grenzwertig. Extrem kleine Zimmer, sehr heiss, Bettdecke und Kissen waren ekelig und das Bad war eine einzige Katastrophe. Die Toiletten waren ok. Sehr unfreundliches Personal. Kein “Herzlich Willkommen“ bei der Ankunft, sondern direkt ein „Haben Sie bezahlt?“. Nachweis direkt gezeigt (Banküberweisung) und trotzdem wurde es fast nicht geglaubt. Für eine Nacht (es war der einzige freie Ort im Kaff Vimmerby - waren in der Astrid Lindgren Welt) war es noch machbar, aber nicht nochmals. Waren froh so schnell wie möglich den Ort verlassen zu können.

Good location next to the train and bus station. Safe, secure room.

The room wasn't so clean when I arrived. They have a 'clean the room before you leave' system. Not good communicating - I emailed twice before going to ask whether my room was private and they didn't reply. It was private but not clear on the booking.

weirdly unstaffed, but nice hostel. you’ll probably not get in.

it’s a cute hostel, it seems clean and it had everything we needed. it was quiet.

we couldn’t get in! nobody was at the hostel, and nobody answered the phone number posted on the door! we called repeatedly, and in the end got in with the help of a random person passing by, who happened to know the person who owns the place. we never met anyone who worked there! we saw other frustrated travellers. absolutely bizarre.

A Wonderful Place That is Difficult to Get To.

It was within walking distance to downtown Vimmerby. It was quiet, very clean and attractive building with a yard. There were numerous Swedish families that came to stay here with their very well-behaved children. At night it was very quiet so sleep was undisturbed.

Hard to get to since the train didn't go there any longer & you need to catch 2 buses to get there once you leave Linkoping Train Station. And taking 2 different buses with heavy luggage when you have a disability makes it very tricky. Sweden is an expensive country (as well as very beautiful!). I ended having to take an expensive cab straight there and back. Also the appliances were very difficult to use. There wasn't any English instructions on how to use the obviously European/Swedish stove and microwave. Why a train no longer stops at the Vimmerby Station, which is right beside this attractive hostel is a mystery, even the buses from the Bus Loop that is located at the same Vimmerby Train Station had practically no buses. Vimmerby is home to Astrid Lindgren's Varld and her Nass Home and many Astrid Lindgren fans love to visit where this wonderful author & humanitarian was born, raised and ended up being buried here.

A cold shower

The beds were comfortable and there were good tables outside to keep distance.

They were having trouble with their hot water heater, so there was no hot water at all. Of course a cold shower is better than nothing but it's difficult to do dishes in cold water. It would have been nice to offer a reduced price, or any kind of compensation for this inconvenience.

Close to centre, cheap room, clean kitchen and toilet, picnic area, little garden to run around in

Ridiculously hot rooms in summer-really should have a fan in each room. Very old squeaky mattresses, smoking allowed in picnic area/directly outside building so with windows open smoke came straight in the room

Children had very much fun with carousel in the yard. We had our breakfast on terrace, what was nice and lots of room. Location near to center.

Bed sheats and towels you have to take with you on the trip. You clean your mess yourself in the room. Doors and floors upstairs are screeching. House keeper is only few hours in a day there.
