Beauty ocean view with great landscaping, birds and local animals (saw more at this hotel than in the MA park). Fabulous, caring, attentive staff - big shout out to Simon (that guy does not stop running and working hard) as well as Manuel and the rest of team🫶
A couple improvement things would be to have a fan over the outdoor kitchen cooking area (so hot to cook when facing sun). Also a small couch and bedside table - room #7 had a queen and single bed with a lot of shelves etc but no room for bedside tables (for a couple would prefer just one bed and more sitting area in AC as often too hot to sit outside).

Très belle vue sur la mer.
Apparemment confortable.
Près de tout mais en voiture en raison des hauteurs.
Nous avons vu plus de singes que dans les parcs nationaux.
Stationnement très serré.

We loved how hospitable Saimon was! He was so kind and was responsive our whole stay. We will definitely come back just for him!
The bedsheets could be cleaner, better bug control, and better shower.

Small studio apartment but with spacious balcony, hammocks and an amazing view of the coast and sunsets, plus garden below with birds and other wildlife. Easy 5 minute walk down to great beach, or up the hill to the nearby restaurant.
Also lovely to have access to swimming pool after day on the beach or day in Manuel Antonio National Park (25 min walk away or 5 min drive)
All good.
3.0 / 5.0
- Staff are very friendly, and always available to help out
- Room was a good size, with cooking facilities, fridge-freezer, and an excellent view of the ocean
- So many cute monkeys go back and forth through the hotel area every day (spider monkeys and capuchin monkeys...I think)
- Pool was clean and very refreshing; we used it every day and rarely saw anyone else using it (I saw more monkeys dipping their feet and arms in than humans)
- The location is a bit further out of Manuel Antonio, which we liked
- AC works and was greatly appreciated
- Restaurants nearby (although the nearest are all owned by the same company so the food is very similar)
- Beach is a 5-10 minute walk downhill. It's also a quieter part of the beach.
- Laundry service available for $20 a bag
- Unfortunately for us, there was construction happening right outside of our stay, every day, 06:00-18:30. It was extremely loud and dusty, so we didn't really sit out on the balcony. We were awake every morning when they started work.
The most irritating part was that the builders kept staring at my wife every time they went past her, sometimes shouting or being inappropriate, which made my wife feel very uncomfortable the whole week. Although it was outside the hotel's control, it impacted our stay a lot.
- The room could be a little better equipped (an extra hand towel, decent bathroom soap or shower gel, scissors, kettle, clean dish sponge for example)
- Bedroom sheets were old and crusty
- Can't switch off the AC light; it's quite bright so the room isn't dark at night.

La ubicación es lo único que está bien del alojamiento
No había desayuno, la habitación era bastante cutre para lo que valía y además no estaba muy limpia

The sunset view was amazing. The most beautiful I have ever seen!
It was a bit old and at the first day not super super clean. But not too bad.

I am a 49 solo female traveler and have hip arthritis. 1st I felt very safe. For me a perfect location, Its in the middle of the hill (Manuel Antonio is on a long hill). Easy access to the quiet side of the beach and couple restaurants close (but I would bring food as it is overpriced and food is mediocre to bad in town). The host is fantastic! This is a quiet hotel for people to enjoy the beauty of Manuel Antonio. The views were amazing! Rooms were perfect and clean. It was so perfect I booked an extra day! Very relaxing!

The view was amazing, the pictures don’t do it justice. We love being able to go out into the hammock and watch the sunset.
The pool and hot tub were also quite nice to watch sunset from and we were entertained daily by the precocious monkeys! The apartment was clean and pleasant.
Nothing except we had to move on to our next destination!

Location was the perfect position half way up the hill - steep climbs but overall walkable to other parts of Manuel Antonio. Also incredible views, quiet & an abundance of wildlife to spot from the hammock!
Nothing :)

Amazing view, hot water in the shower, great location, monkeys come by looking for scraps of food in the morning

Amazing views from the apartment, nice swimming pool area. We had visit in our terrace of several animals - this was simply amazing.
There is a construction site just next door and our early mornings were disturbed - not what you expect when you are on vacation. Manuel was friendly but was not able to find an alternative accommodation. We could have been informed about this in time.

The location and the staff were wonderful. Easy walk to restaurants and a bus stop, plus’s hammock and a gorgeous view. Manuel is so welcoming and kind!!

The apartment is spacious and has a terrace with a great view of the bay and the jungle. Well-furnished kitchen. Only 5min drive to the Manuel Antonio National Park. We saw a sloth and monkeys just near the swimming pool. The staff was very welcoming.
There were some ants in the bathroom.
4.5 / 5.0
The location was amazing, AMAZING views, the host was very friendly and accommodating. Saw many animals on property (one morning there was a whole family of monkeys right in front of our room)
The only "complaint" we have is that there wasn't much noise control between the rooms. We could hear our neighbors as if they were in our room.
4.5 / 5.0
- the view from the room is breathtaking, it was really nice to wake up in front of the sea
- the staf is super welcoming
- the room was small but comfy
- kitchen equipped
- the swimming pool is nice
- bonus : you can see white face monkeys and squirrel monkeys from the room (they even come steal your food) and a family of sloths is living in the hotel, you can see them super close it's great
- close to nice restaurants
- the price is a bit high compare to other hotels but you pay for the view
- no breakfast on-site which is not super convenient (but there is a fridge that allows you to keep stuff for your breakfast)
- not very close to the sea, the closest beach is managed by a hotel where people are not very nice - you have to go to espadilla north which is around 15 min by walk

very beautiful views from the property and close to very nice beach. property is located in quite place close to Manuel Antonio. we saw many animals and birds from our accommodation. staff were very friendly.
room is quite small for a family of 3, no breakfast and therefore felt a bit overpriced , however I guess views compensated that . poor internet

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT STAY HERE!
I usually never find myself writing a bad review about anything or anyone, but this a forewarning because I have never been disregarded by anyone in such a way, especially a property host, considering I am a paying customer whom they've charged TWO weeks to check in.
We checked into the property around 7pm on March 18th, and were provided with the wrong room. It's a smaller, completely different version, a completely different layout. A balcony instead of patio. The room we actually booked was given to some other guests.
When we tried to speak to the manager Manuel and show him photos of the room we were supposed to get he told us that it's the same room. IT IS NOT. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ROOM AND LAYOUT AS MENTIONED ABOVE. Because he wouldn't acknowledge the situation we waited for the owner.
When she finally arrived we tried to speak to her respectfully and she completely disregarded us. I tried to speak to her in English and she refused. She refused to communicate with me even though I am the person who booked the accommodation and whose credit card was charged. We called Booking right after and spent an hour on the phone. Booking tried to contact her and she ignored all FIVE calls. We knew because her place was right on top of our room and we could hear her walking.
My partner had to speak to her in Spanish. She kept on saying that this is Booking.com's fault, even though its her property and she is the one checking us in and ASSIGNING THE ROOMS. We kept on saying that it's not booking who provides the rooms, but she kept on saying it's Booking and just disregarding us completely. We couldn't even communicate with her. She literally just walked away from us. We had to stay there that night. It was the worst night we've had, we couldn't sleep and left the next day because that type of treatment was so awful and we couldn't bare to spend another minute there...

Great view and location. We loved sundowners on our balcony.
There's a really good restaurant next door and an unusual but fun walk to the beach.
We saw lots of interesting wildlife from our balcony.
The staff were not particularly helpful, with short and delayed responses via WhatsApp. For example when we requested information about transport options we were just told that there was a bus stop in Quepos. Further information was readily available on Google, which defeats the purpose of asking for help onsite.

Great view
Big refridgerator
Too expensive for the kind of standard - no drinks, no beach towels, 10-12 min walk to the beach

Really friendly staff that answered all of our questions. Nice pool with great views. Good kitchenette.

10/10 would recommend staying at Villas de la Selva! The room was comfortable and the view of the ocean was beautiful. If you're renting a car and driving, the parking is convenient as well. The bed was comfortable and our room had a small kitchenette with everything we needed. The staff are very friendly and accommodating! The pool space is really nice too and has chairs/umbrellas around the deck of the pool.
The best part of our stay is the rope they have tied from one grouping of trees to another on the property (called monkey highway!). Throughout the day, the monkeys go back and forth on the rope and it's really fun to see how they interact with each other. There is also 2 adult sloths and 1 baby sloth living in the tree on the property! If you time it right in the evening, you can also see them cross monkey highway to the other grouping of trees!
All in all, my husband and I had a great experience at Villas de la Selva.

Good view of coast
False advertising. I booked an 'apartment'. We got a dingy, incredibly noisy room next to a busy road. It was very basic, had no drawers or cupboard, cold water in sink,

the view, Manuel the host is so friendly, the pool, you can see sloth and monkeys in the property
that you depend of other hotel entry to go to the beach

Fantastic views, sunset, pool to use. Regular bus service to Manuel Antonio and Quepos. 10 minute walk downhill to the beach. Wildlife watching from the balcony
1.0 / 5.0
The view from our patio.
It is not beachfront as advertised in booking.com profile. The towels were dirty, grayish to yellowish. Manuel was prompt to replace these after I mentioned to him. The hammock smelled like urine, likely from the monkeys. I get you cannot control where wild animals urinate, but could have washed the hammock prior to our arrival.
3.5 / 5.0
The view from our balcony (room 5) was stunning. The AC worked well. The bed was really comfortable.
It was in a great location for the beach, the centre of MA and right on the bus route . Lovely little pool on site and great flora and fauna nearby
It was not totally clean.
The kitchen facilities were very limited. It did not have a kettle. The shower was not great. The WiFi was poor - worst we had in the whole country.
We were not offered any info, advice all the time we were there. Felt a bit pricey compared to everywhere else we stayed
