Lovely cottage, great upper deck.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The minute you step inside you're transported to a place of relaxation and delight. You can start relaxing right away, because all the necessities, other then food, is provided. The lovely artwork and the outside 2nd story deck are inviting you to sit down, relax, and start your vacation!

This cottage is cute as a button. Perfect for a couple with 2 kids looking to relax. It is small, and that is what we loved about it. It is simply perfect! It had all we needed and then some. The kitchen is tiny but I had everything I needed to cook a killer chicken piccata and my home made pizza. The piece the resistance was the deck. Witnessed beautiful sunrises and great breezes up there. Suzanne was a very responsive host. I really really hope to be able to come back here. Thank you Suzanne and Steven for sharing this slice of heaven!

Second stay here and we enjoyed it again. It's quite compact but enough space to relax, cook and even entertain some guests on the roof deck. Recommended.

This was our second stay at this property and we had another wonderful time. The cottage is really charming and the location can't be beat!

Can’t beat the location. Lovely views. Perfect small town beach right out the door. Property is small, but as depicted in the listing. Great location to head to the Cape if you want. Plenty to do in the New Bedford and Fairhaven areas.

It's a compact place, but with all the basics covered, and plenty of living space including a great deck area. Amazing view, and the entertainment of folks launching and retreiving their boats. 5 mins drive from multiple stores up in Fairhaven and 10minutes to the restaurants and bars of New Bedford. It's a great base to explore the whole south coast and I've already booked another two weeks here.

My family and I had a great stay! The kids especially loved the beach right out front & the upstairs balcony.

This cozy cottage is so cute and comfortable. It has charm and sits right on the water with it's own little beach. The view from the upper deck is amazing and you can even see Ned's Point lighthouse beaming on a clear night from Mattapoisett. Fairhaven and New Bedford are nostalgic towns full of history and good restaurants. The owners are great with communication and aim to please!!

The location and roof deck are amazing where sunrise is gorgeous from the roof deck! There is an air conditioner which was not left on for us, so if you're renting in the summer you could request it be left on for you. It can take a few days to cool off the house, and the 2nd bedroom never cooled off for us. Rain definitely changed the air quality and moisture. The laundry service includes 1 bath & 1 hand towel per adult, and you will receive directions to the laundry mat if you need to launder them. The kitchen is quite small but you have a fridge & stove. You are left with some paper goods which you are asked to replace. We found rattan furniture with thin cushions in the living room a little uncomfortable but that's individual. There is a small TV in a 3 season porch. The cottage is right behind the dunes to the beach and beside the beach parking lot.

We loved everything about the cottage. It was cozy, quaint and felt very homey. The natural light coming in was so welcoming. The decor was so well done and your paintings added the perfect touch. The sunroom and rooftop deck were our favorite places of all! Again, we loved this place!

The roof terrace to this cottage is fabulous, wonderful views. And direct access to the water, although shallow and stony is also great. But the cottage needs updating in the bathroom, kitchen and air conditioning to enable it to live up to its promise.

July in Fairhaven
We spent a week at the rental in mid-July. It is a charming little cottage, perfect for two or a small family. A few steps from the beach, we spent most of our time on the deck accessible via a spiral staircase. Most notable was the decor of thhe home. The owner is an artist and the home is decorated with her beautiful paintings nearly everywhere you look. The house also is well stocked with many supplies you don't know you need until you need them! Hope to stay here again in the future.

Beach side getaway and a great jumping-off point for day tripping!
Our family of four rented this cottage for two weeks. We know the general area quite well, but had never spent much time in this particular corner of Fairhaven. We loved it! Our stay consisted of day trips around the area to see friends and family interspersed with downtime at the cottage. This cute little house has been thoughtfully furnished and decorated to optimize a small space. Well-placed mirrors give the impression of greater space in tight quarters. The porch and roof deck are particularly great and that's where we spent the majority of our time at the house. My children (6 and 8) especially loved being able to roll out the door to the small beach beyond to dig sand and hunt shells and hermit crabs; I loved being able to sit on the roof deck enjoying the view while still having one eye on them as they played by the water. The many fences, trellises and pergolas around the property are both lovely to look at with their gorgeous vines and flowers, but more importantly, they add a creative and well-planned element of privacy to a cottage that is really RIGHT on a public boat launch parking lot. One item of note: we were here during the 4th of July, and there was a LOT of fireworks activity in the parking lot for several nights book-ending the holiday. Speaking for us, I found it kind of amusing (my husband, maybe a little less amused by the third night), and our kids sleep like rocks once asleep, so ultimately, it was no biggie. However, if late night fireworks right outside your door would be a significant bother to you, I'd recommend that you take a pass on the week of July 4th! Overall, a fun stay for us in a lovely little cottage!

Buzzard Bay View
This is a quaint cottage with a sunroom and rooftop deck for extra space. There’s quick access to a very small beach on sunny summer days, the adjacent parking lot can get a little lively, but it simmers down after Labor Day. It was a great location to take day trips to Providence, Newport, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Caoe Cod, etc.

Fairhaven get away
This property is in a great location. Right on the water. Fun to watch the people on the beach and the boats going in and out of the water. A great deck over the house.

Peaceful and pretty!
Best sunrises I’ve ever experienced! Beautiful views of the water from the sunroom and the upper deck! The cottage is tiny, but very functional. Wish there was more to do within walking distance.

Terrific place
Loved the place . Location is perfect. A quiet gem. Live entertainment at the boat ramp. Great area to bike ride and kayaking in the bay . Fishing business in Fairhaven is busy. We’ll be back next year.

Lovely Spot
We had a wonderful week enjoying the breezes on the porch, with easy access to the Cape and RI. The cottage has character and is clean and thoughtfully decorated. Some of the ceilings are quite low, but my husband is 6’10” and was able to work with it - and that’s part of cottage life! The little beach out front was good for morning beachcombing with our four year old, and the boat ramp provided ample entertainment. Loved the little garden, outdoor shower, and deck. A lovely spot to relax!

Charming and quirky!
We had a wonderful week at this lovely little cottage. It was small but had everything we needed and was thoughtfully designed. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. We loved the roof terrace and spent a lot of time there and on the beach, just steps away. Fairhaven is a great place with a lot of restaurants, and this was a great stay.

Perfect location with the littles!
We had a wonderful time with our 4 and 1 year old this week. They loved playing in the little beach out back, which was perfect for their age. The cottage was cute and cozy, everything we needed for the week. Thank you!

Beautiful rooftop and beachfront!
We enjoyed our week at this quaint beachfront cottage! The rooftop patio and ocean access were great perks as was the sun room. Additionally, the location by a beach parking lot gave accessibility to local fireworks celebrations and visitor access.

Perfect location
Our recent trip to Fairhaven was great. Not only was the cottage perfectly situated right next to the water but it was also centrally located for day trips to Newport, the Cape and Plymouth. You are next to the public boat launch and parking lot but it wasn’t an issue at all. People often come there to sit and stare at the water and occasionally you get someone race through the lot but it was not bothersome.
This is the prettiest little cottage. New England to a tee. The landscaping and decor our exactly as pictured. Just lovely all around. Suzanne, your artwork is beautiful and really adds such a homey feel to the cottage!
While cottage is small, every inch of space was carefully planned and utilized. The two bedrooms provide space in dressers for clothes. You will not be able to live out of your suitcase if that’s what you like to do. The queen bedroom does not have space for that but the room with twins has a large closet to store your bag.
We weren’t completely sure what the kitchen and bathroom were going to be without pictures posted so I’ll describe.
Bathroom is a typical 3 piece. It is an average size but note: if you are tall people like we are, showering is a challenge. The shower head is low. (Remember, you’re in a cottage) It works great and is efficient but you’ll need to bend a bit to rinse your hair.
Kitchen is tiny. Dual bowl sink where you can wash dishes and let dry. Counter space is limited. There is a full-size frig, small microwave, toaster and coffee maker. There are some pots and pans, utensils, silverware, plates, and glassware. The stove is a four burner but is a smaller scale. Cooking dinner for four would be a bit challenging but doable. The addition of chef’s cart was a plus to store our snack and things.
During our trip we had temps in the 90’s and high humidity. The air conditioner was put to use later in the week but the bedrooms have window fans which kept the place comfortable. The 3 season room is spectacular. We put the screens in and enjoyed the breeze.
Bring bug spray if you plan to be by the water as dusk approaches. We are still battling our bites. We lost to the bugs.
All in all, I highly recommend this cottage.

Adorable Cottage
My husband and I had a lovely time at the cottage. If you are looking for a "comfy" place to enjoy the water view, this is it. A few more towels would have been nice, but overall a great place.

Awesome view!
Perfect for a couple or small family. We loved being right on the beach yet having privacy. Having a yard was nice too. Roof deck and sun room are fantastic spaces. Cottage is artistic both inside and outside. Shopping and restaurants and other beaches nearby.

This was a great fit for me and the wife. We spent the month of November 2019 and it was fun and relaxing.

Nice end-of-summer stay!
The cottage is really cute, very thoughtful use of the space. We really enjoyed people watching, though that is the reason I only gave 3 stars...not a whole lot of privacy!
On the plus side, if you're a biker the house is close to the many bike paths in the area, and easy access to the town beach which is beautiful.
Overall, a really relaxing week!

Best and most relaxing view
Thoroughly enjoyed the top deck. We had great weather for August. So the ocean breezes almost made me ok without air conditioning. (I guess I’m a bit spoiled).

Cottage on the Bay
Great cottage for the 2 of us right on a small beach popular with locals. There’s also a boat launching ramp which was always busy with the locals as well. Nice views across Buzzards Bay, plenty of Ospreys and other wildlife to entertain us. Especially wonderful to watch sitting or sunning yourself on the upper balcony deck.
The house has all you need really for a relaxing vacation and there’s many local seafood places to eat or shop for yourselves.
Locals say the area is a hidden gem and we can certainly agree with them.

Fantastic Stay
My family and I stayed at the cottage for one week. We absolutely loved everything about it. The views from the deck and sunroom are both amazing. Sitting with our coffee or a glass of wine just enjoying the scenery was so relaxing. The cottage is decorated beautifully. We loved the beachy feel and the paintings. We had one rainy day while visiting but it was so cozy and welcoming in the cottage that we had a great time staying in and playing games. The garden is also beautiful and adds a feeling that you are the only ones around. The kitchen is well stocked so we were able to cook anything we wanted if we chose not to go out. Our daughters had a great time playing on the little beach. We also visited West Island beach once and the girls loved the sand there. We visited everywhere from Plymouth to Provincetown and all drives to those locations were easy and none were terribly far. This was our first visit to Massachusetts and we definitely cannot wait to visit again! Thank you so much for such a beautiful place to stay!

Beautiful and relaxing
We enjoyed everything about the property. The cottage is well stocked, nicely decorated and comfortable. We spent a great deal of time on the roof deck gazing out at beautiful Buzzards Bay, watching the Osprey hunt, and checking out the boats coming and going from the boat ramp. Being the 4th of July week we were also entertained by a fireworks show put on by the neighbors. We would definitely recommend staying at Suzanne's cottage. It's a gem.

Seaview property is wonderful
I can't imagine a nicer place to stay in Fairhaven, MA. You are right on the bay, your yard ends and the beach begins. You are next to a boat launch if you've got a boat; otherwise, walk in to kayak, paddleboard, or swim. The sunroom is wonderful from the morning sunrise through to the evening. The view over the dining table is out of this world. The upper deck over the sunroom adds more great views and breezes, and has another dining table in the open sea air. The cottage is highly decorated and cozy; compact, but in all ways functional. We loved our stay in August 2017.

Lovely!
The cottage is adorable. I thoroughly enjoyed the upper deck, especially being able to sit up there in the sun or the shade, the nearly continuous breeze is fabulous, and I loved the tiny gardens. I appreciated the raft and thoroughly enjoyed my week on Buzzards Bay. Recommendation for Turks Seafood was much appreciated, yes a bit pricey, but you can get fresh fish there daily (cash only) including pre-cooked lobster meat, as well as delicious sushi and other stuff at restaurant portion (cash or credit). We also enjoyed Moby Dick Brewing Company and Quahog's Tavern in New Bedford. Being next to the boat launch also offered some fun people-watching experiences. Thank you!
