Lovely apartment cosy yet spacious with lots of character. Very well equipped kitchen and spotlessly clean. Friendly and helpful hosts provided lots of info on the area and things to do in advance and fresh milk and delicious Welsh cakes on our arrival. The apartment is in a quiet residential area next to the park, there’s a corner shop a few minutes walk away and a cafe at the entrance to the park. A 5 - 10 minute walk into town. 10 - 15 minutes drive to beautiful countryside and the Brecon Beacons national park. Parking in the drive and plenty if street parking. We will definitely stay here again.
We loved the Rafters it’s a beautiful apartment but it is on the second floor and the stairs up to the second floor are steep this wasn’t an issue for us but something to be aware of if you are not good with stairs.

Large, interesting and quirky house. Big room and comfortable bed.
The house although nice was a little shabby and could have been cleaner. Nothing was terrible by any means but for the price I would expect it to be spot on.

The studio we stayed in was beautiful! We really didn't expect it and as it was a birthday trip for my partner, I was very glad to walk into such a beautiful space. The photos really don't do it justice. The bed was comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. The views from our room were lovely and everything was tastefully decorated.
We bumped into James on our way in and out. He was very kind and helpful, even giving us some extra welsh cakes and some of his own honey as we left.
The location is fabulous! We went for a hike on the Friday up to the Canadian bomber crash site, gorge walking / canyoning on Saturday which was 30 minutes down the A road and then Bike Park Wales on Sunday (yes we were exhausted after all of this) which was 7 minutes by car.
I couldn't recommend staying here more.
After all of the hard work and fun activities we pushed ourselves to do, it would have been great to have a bath to come back to but we made do with a nice long, warm shower to warm our bones back up and the shampoo and body wash provided made that better.

Elegant mansion about 1 km from train station (Tesco shopping centre) and the High street . Friendly snd helpful owners .
Definitely need a car, the walk up hill with bags would be difficult. Taxis are 4 pounds.

Good size studio apartment with kitchen, bathroom, living room and sleeping areas. Fun eclectic decor. Perfect resting place for visiting Brecon Beacons, quick drive to many locations such as waterfalls. we have stayed here before in another room and will surely return! Host is very friendly, making sure we have everything we need and to give any advice. Nice little treats of tea, coffee and welsh cakes.
we appreciated having a small kitchen to prepare meals and a decent sized small fridge to store food. Nice to have a living room area with nice tv to relax in the evenings. a few parking spaces available at the house as well as easy parking on the street. We stayed for a long weekend and was perfect for us.
Some suggestions: Would be helpful if recycling bins were clearly labelled as well as including some drawers or storage for clothes especially for longer visits. Kitchen worked well for our stay although worth noting small portable hob so we prepared very basic meals with hob/microwave. Drain in the shower was a bit slow unsure whether it was clogged or this is normal. steep stairs to top floor, wasnt a problem for us.

Beautiful decorated loft apartment with the comfiest bed! Stylish and spacious with everything you need and in a lovely location, perfect for the waterfall trail or Brecon Beacons. Short walk into town where there are lots of options of pubs this place is perfect! Highly recommend and will be staying again!

Very nice room with a bathroom. Had a kettle, tiny fridge, lots of tea and coffee. Location was great, 20 minutes driving to main attractions like waterfalls walk or Pen y Fen trail.
Very easy self check in.
Some nice places to eat in a town, but during the weekend it's better to book a table.

A lovely studio apartment, such nice interior design and the comfiest bed EVER
Having an oven would be a brilliant addition, but definitely didn’t detract at all

Very well laid out and clean studio with all the facilities you need. 15 minute walk to the local supermarket however we preferred to drive out.
There are only 3 spaces for parking on the property however we went off-peak season so this wasn’t an issue for us at the time.

it’s immaculately clean! Very interesting decor.
the bed is probably the best one I have experienced.
My train got delayed because of strike action and James was soo generous to meet me in person and let me stay an extra night!
Nothing. Everything was perfect

Spotless and well presented
There could have been some additional cutlery (Knife & fork), only a suggest.

All round excellent room, bed is super comfy and I really liked the lounge area too. Location is very convenient, with off or on street parking. Both Angela & James were really friendly. Will definitely be going back with family & friends on BPW and walking trips!
Nothing I can think of.

My partner and I had an absolutely lovely stay for the weekend. The room was cosy and warm and felt very much like home. The little kitchen area was perfect for a short stay and we used it to cook dinner and breakfast. On the way out the hosts gave us a jar of honey and recommendations for our walk!
It would be great to have another blanket in the room for cosiness and for the recycling bins to be labelled (the labels had faded). Otherwise all was great!

Absolutely beautiful place, even better than the pictures. We were greeted with a smile on arrival, he came out as we we couldn't figure out which key it was (it was obvious in the end!). Really friendly and welcoming owners. The facilities were perfect. Bed was SO comfy and huge, such a good night sleep. We stayed in Pen Y Ty which has a corridor between the facilities and bedroom but this was no issue at all still very private and didn't cross paths with anyone on the way to kitchen or bathroom so don't let that prevent you from booking it, it was no bother. Incredible view from the room, close to lots of amenities and managed to get a lot done despite horrible rainy weather. The Welsh cakes were also a lovely touch. Thank you for a beautiful stay.
Nothing :)

I loved the decor and style of the room and the building. It was spotless and cosy. Definitely cleaned and maintained well. They kitchen had plenty of cups and glasses, plates etc., nice refreshments (local cakes were very tasty), fresh milk. I felt relaxed in the place. It was great to have plenty of space in the room. The owners were very kind and I really appreciate earlier check in as we arrived earlier than planned. I am also grateful for sending me some personal belonging I accidentally left behind. Really nice of Angela to do this for me as I wouldn’t be able to pick it up in person.
I missed a bit some kind of wardrobe or cupboard as there was nowhere to put the clothes and kept them in the bag during my stay (there were only 4 hangers next to the bed), it was a bit chilly in the room (I do get cold easily) and I would have liked to have an access to a gas cooker (just one ring even would be enough) instead of microwave as I particularly booked a room with a kitchenette so I could prepare some simple meals, at least for breakfast, but sadly microwave was not appropriate for that. (I did expect though that that might be a case and there is only a microwave from looking at the photos, so I can’t say I was misguided. I was just hoping that maybe there will be cooker too).
