You’ll be perfectly situated between the Santa Barbara Harbor featuring several local restaurants serving freshly caught seafood and the Mesa neighborhood with an organic grocery store, boutique eateries, and access points to the beach.

Sitting above the coastline, surrounded by palm leaves, this charming cottage is sparkling, having undergone a complete remodel (2013). Bleached oak floors and colorful textured fabrics grace every room. Enjoy ocean views from the open concept Kitchen, Living, and Dining Rooms. The Primary Room offers a cozy king-size bed facing the garden while the Guest Room can either offer two twin beds or one king-size bed. Out front, a relaxing deck above the garage provides ocean views while the backyard provides more private dining and lounging space. Do as the locals do and sip a margarita on the patio while playing Jimmy Buffet.

The cottage is in a nice quiet neighborhood. A great location for a walk on Shoreline and a two minute drive to two food stores and restaurants. State street and town is a short drive down the Mesa with wonderful views! Everything is thought out at Sea Glass, even robes for the chilly mornings! Although the houses are close there is a great sense of privacy on the whole property. Dinner outside in the back is fun! We would recommend this property, and we will be back!

Overall a very nice place to stay. There are a couple of details that would be helpful for the property management company to consider, including replacing burnt out lightbulbs and cleaning the outdoor furniture cushions. Other than that, was a great place, with lovely outdoor space.

Something as 'standard information' as an internet password should be accurate in the property's "how to do this" written instructions - it was wrong here. Instructions to how to use the Sonos system were also wrong (they started with "the iPad runs everything" and there was no iPad to be found). Little (but important) details like these shouldn't be wrong in property's "how to" book.

We have stayed at the Sea Glass Cottage multiple times. We return because it is very clean, comfortable, located close to our daughter's family and close to morning exercise walks along Shoreline Drive down to the Marina and/or Pier. It is the perfect size for my husband and myself and the second bedroom accommodates additional family members if they join us. Tho there is a hillside backyard, we don't ever use it, but we do enjoy the garage rooftop patio. The plantings are lovely and lush. The layout of the house works well and tho it would be considered a small house, it doesn't feel cramped. The bathroom is a nice size and the 2 sink vanity accommodates any and all products, cosmetics that one brings. A charming home away from home.

Location, Location, Location!

Sea Glass cottage was perfect for a week with family. My daughter and I visited from Brooklyn for a week. We were able to safely visit with family outdoors on the lovely terrace overlooking the sea. the house was sufficient in every way for quiet enjoyment and pleasant family meals. We loved walking to the beach, the proximity to all things Santa Barbara, and the long views of the ocean.

This house made us happy!

We rented this sweet house for a reunion weekend of old UCSB friends. It was perfect for our needs. Fantastic ocean view, lovely outdoor spaces, bright open spaces in the main living areas. Bedrooms are a little small but they are comfortable. House was very neat, refrigerator was sparkling clean and empty. You can walk to the ocean cliffs in 6 minutes, and in 15 minutes you can walk to the Mesa shopping area with great restaurants and a gourmet grocery. We can't wait to come back!

We spent 6 days and enjoyed our stay. The location was very good- a short walk to the beach and easy access to all we wanted to do. The street is pleasant and quiet. The interior was bright and comfortable.

Great stay, amazing location!

Really loved this property. It was very clean, and well outfitted for a rental property - perfect for our family of two adults and two children. The best part is that it is a 5-minute walk down to one of the nicest beaches I have ever been on (and you can see the ocean from the living room couch!). The property manager was very responsive to email. My one request: get some better knives for the kitchen please..hard to cook with blunt chopping knives.

We really enjoyed the house as it has everything we need for a 4 day holiday - blender, gas stove, games, books, outdoor dining, beach chairs, clean towels and plenty of kitchenware. We bike to the breaches and Von is nearby. The house is nice and clean. We just wish it has another bathroom or outdoor shower.

We had a great time staying here for a little get away during COVID. The place thought of everything, from pack-n-play, to a foldable high chair. We weren’t able to use the garage as the code didn’t work but that was okay. Close walk to the beach if you don’t mind climbing stairs, great location!

Our family of 4 had a great time on our vacation in Santa Barbara. We settled in perfectly at the cottage, which had everything we needed and was well stocked with kitchen supplies. It was nice to be walking distance to a beach overlook/stairway and a short drive to everything else. The house is decorated in the Santa Barbara beach style (blues, greens, whites) and we took advantage of the beautiful patio every day. There wasn't anything that didn't work or that we wished they had. It's definitely a cozy feel so if you are looking for a relaxing and intimate home, this is it.

Great place, but needs new furniture

Excellent location, great cottage, and wonderful view of the ocean from the garage rooftop patio. However, the living room couch and chairs are old, very uncomfortable, and need to be replaced. Also, the drains in the kitchen sink and shower back up and don’t drain properly. And the coffee machine is ancient and needs replacing.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sea Glass Cottage in Santa Barbara. To begin, it was a great location - short walk to shoreline and beach areas, wonderful ocean views from deck, and convenient access to shopping! The house was exactly as pictured with a relaxing beach cottage décor and had all the amenities (WIFI, printer, & ipad all pluses). Outdoor landscaping was beautiful as well!

Loved this home! So clean, airy and bright. The beds, pillows, and bedding are super comfortable - like being at a 5-star resort. This home was built in 1955 and has been totally remodeled but maintains the original bungalow character. I appreciate that the rental property company has strict guidelines for tenants of the house so that it maintains the nice quality for all who want to stay there. Great sitting areas indoor and outdoor. We went to have a quiet retreat and this fit the bill perfectly. It is a 5 minute walk from the beach and 10 minutes to drive to the heart of town - so convenient. There is also a Lazy Acres (think Whole Foods but better) and a great coffee shop in the same center within walking distance (about 1/2 a mile). This home was so peaceful! The house sits in a good neighborhood and of course that comes with all of the gardening activity on the block during the week (but that can't be avoided). Luckily gardeners finish quickly and your peace is restored! The home is one level but you do need to bring your bags up 2 flights of stairs as the home sits high with great views (just an FYI for folks who can't do stairs).

This was our second stay at Sea Glass Cottage. We love it. It is close to the beach and downtown. You can enjoy Santa Barbara sunrises and sunsets from the house. The house is well maintained. The kitchen is fully equipped. The beds and linens are comfortable. We will return on our next stay in Santa Barbara.

Just back from our second holiday at Sea Glass Cottage. This is a great cottage in an excellent location overlooking the sea and within walking distance of Downtown Santa Barbara. The cottage is fully stocked with everything you need and has been thoughtfully designed and tastefully furnished. Can't recommend it enough.
