Restful, comfortable, welcoming and a fantastic break in the Welsh countryside

Superb location and the accommodation was so clean, comfortable and very well furnished with more than you would expect for a self catering property. The hosts were really friendly and informative of the local area. The cottage and grounds were also excellent for our spaniel. We will definitely be back to this beautiful part of Wales.

Fantastic views

Gorgeous cottage, equipped with everything you may need in a holiday home. 5☆facilities, immaculately clean, peaceful and has amazing views over the Dee Valley from the living room and top bedroom. Welcoming hosts. On arrival we were shown around by Catherine and she left lovely treats for us in the kitchen. There was also complementary tea & coffee available. We couldn't have found a better location for a relaxing, peaceful holiday. It was perfect for outdoor activities, walks, and the nearby Llangollen has shops and restaurants. The cottage was much more spacious than we initially thought from the description, it has two bedrooms, and is very comfortable for a family with two adults and two children.

Superb Cottage

Peaceful, warm, cosy & clean. Well equipped cottage with good views.

The water temperature in the shower was too cold for my liking. It could not be adjusted, irrespective of how much I turned the thermostat gauge on the shower.

Very comfortable clean well equipped and relaxing beautiful cottage.

The magnificent view. The open fire and the peace and quiet.

Television controls difficult to work out. No mobile phone signal but wifi good.

Comfortable, well equipped and characterful cottage in a lovely setting. Friendly unintrusive hosts. What's not to like? Welsh goodies and the fresh flowers in the cottage were an added bonus, as were the clear instructions on how to locate the property.

Home from Home.

Cottage surrounded with beautiful scenery. Loved watching the birds on the feeders. Even though cottage was of the A5, it was still very peaceful. Everything you needed in the cottage and so much more. Beds were so comfortable.

Exceptional

we could not recommend Dee Valley cottages enough. It was a real home from home with everything provided. Simon and Katharine, the owners, were there to welcome us and show us around the property. Set in a beautiful location with lots of wildlife around. so peaceful. we will definitely return x 😁👍

perfect relaxing weekend away

the property was gorgeous, very clean and cosy. the log fire was lovely. Katherine and Simon made us feel very welcome couldn’t do enough for us. we will definitely be back to stay again.

Beautiful traditional Welsh cottages, comfortable and cosy with stunning views

Both cottages are lovely traditional Welsh cottages with plenty of space and excellent facilities. The views are stunning, and the location is extremely peaceful. This is a fantastic place to stay for a group of friends or a family who are looking for a relaxing rural getaway.

Tranquil surroundings, very relaxing, a true home from home, dogs had a great time too !

Stunning location, excellent hosts, couldnt do enough for us, even gave us a lift to the local hostelry ! Super clean accommodation. Hosts very informative on local dog walks and places of interest.

Nothing to do with the property or hosts, just difficult to get a taxi.

Perfect stay!

What a wonderful stay we had here in Wagtails. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, it felt like nothing would be too much trouble. It’s so close to Llangollen, which is just lovely. As for the properly, it was immaculate and so nicely presented. There was even a welcoming pack with some Welsh goodies. We felt at home straight away. The area is stunning and you’re not far from lots of fun things to see and do. I would highly recommend this property.
