Super great location Beautiful and designed Great shared areas Yoga classes were amazing

Got my shoes stolen so be mindful of were you leave your stuff Some members of the Staff were rude and did not seem to care at all which did not made me appreciate my stay as much as i would have

Great place! I would stay here again.

Great beachfront location! Pool, bar and restaurant on site were nice! Fun vibe and good yoga class. Room was very clean and comfy. Close to many restaurants. Good onsite security and reliable early airport tranfer.

Standard Room was smaller than I expected but very clean and comfy. Some Beach chairs would be a good addition or you can rent some little ways away.

An Overnight on the Way to Montezuma

Cool room greeted us, and we were hot and sweaty. Nice beach setting. Good breakfast.

I didn’t like Jaco. It was a tacky, unsettling town.

We booked the standard rooms with a private bathroom. We appreciated the king size beds in the room which were very comfortable. The rooms were a decent size with an appropriate bathroom aswell. The location was good too and was within walking distance to the "main street" and directly located on the beach.

We stayed in the standart rooms which were located below some sort of noisy mashine. In the very early morning hours it was very loud and it sounded like some sort of washer/dryer or water pump was located within close proximity to the rooms. It was quite disruptive to our sleep. The bedding in our room also had a bunch of hair on it, so we weren't sure if it was changed/cleaned properly. The pool area was very crowded and not as inviting as in other Selina hotels we've stayed at. It seemed more like a family hotel than the usual layed back, chill vibe you expect from the Selina hotels.

Very good

Nice place, great location right on beach, clean and good pool, many people wven in low season. Good kitchen, good bar area.

However the bathrooms leave a little to be desired, shower doors have issues, upstsirs is pretty hot until you get into room with a/c. Roof above my bed started leaking after heavy rain and dripped on the edge of my mattress. Also hardly any activity in evenings, you’ll have to go off the property.

Nice location but short on staff.

Selina is in a great location right in front of the beach. My partner and I stayed in a private standard room. It had A/C and it’s own bathroom.

The Room is a little small for a couple. Bathroom had a sewer smell. Not enough staff present to provide service for guests. Wanted to get breakfast and waited for 20 minutes sitting down and no one helped us. We got up and as we were leaving, that’s when someone finally came to try to help us. Housekeeper forgot to leave towels and went to reception to asked for some. Took them 35 minutes to bring me towels.

Maybe they should offer you the chance to clean staff pass by to help you cleaning a bit, or simple change your towels that would be cool but they are amazing anywa

Amazing place in Jaco

Amazing place! Great actives and everyone who works here are so nice and welcoming. The pool right off the beach was a true treasure on warm days! Rooms were very nice as well, very comfortable beds. Nice sitting area outside where we could watch iguanas and parrots! Great location.

Rooms should be cleaned daily :)

Great experience

Good to stay there! Many different people, but you will feel like part of some community. There are some activities you can do with them for free. Also the beach location is great. The beach is not one of the best, but you can surf there :)

Nice time

The staff were very friendly and kind. I arrived early, and they let me keep my bags there and wait there until check in time. When I checked out, I left my bag there while I went to go surfing for a few hours, then came back and it was nice to have somewhere to rinse off after. They let you come and go from the property until 6pm, even after you've checked out, which was super convenient. It's right on the beach, so a great location, especially if you're hoping to surf and hang out on the beach. Good kitchen with lots of appliances. Rooms are nice and cool. Privacy curtains for the dorms.

Very little room to keep your food in the fridge. The community bathrooms for the dorms tend to be a little dirty, but people are coming in from off the beach, so it makes sense I guess...

Location

Unfriendly staff. The rooms were lousy. I've paid half of what it cost to stay at much better place. No parking. Late check in 3pm?. Don't get breakfast. Terrible . This is 1 star hotel on the beach at best.

highly recommend staying here! staff are so friendly, food is yummy, it’s right on the beach, there’s lots of activities to do that are free. and overall I would recommend everyone to stay here!

the small cylinder I stayed in wasn’t that clean. above the aircon there was a massive cobweb.

way too expensive for what you get - take AirBnB instead!

staff was friendly

they charge more than 70$ per night to share your room with 7 other people. way too much for a hostel and this sleeping situation! I ended up in a „deluxe“ room which I shared with a friend for more than 150$ per night - even that one was definitely not worth the price. almost no furniture, no closet, a floor made of concrete, cold, unpersonal. I am travelling a lot and every AirBnB, hotel or other hostel is way better, more clean and sure more cozy and comfy than Selina. If you check the reviews for the other Selinas you can see that there is a system - pictures better than reality, prices far away from hostel standard and on the same time not good enough to be a hotel, although you pay so much. not recommended!!

Temperatur in the barrel was awful

It was close to the Beach and the pool was nice

We lived in the barrels and they weee so moist and warm inside. The AC didnt do anything so we ended up changing for a real room. There is really missing more sunbeds at the pool and somewhere to put wet towels and clothes.

Exceptional

I will be staying at a Selina everytime I travel. Very fun for young, solo travelers to meet new people. Spend the day by the pool because the waves were tough in the ocean, but very easy beach access. Restaurant and bar on property, as well as the ability to book tours, surf lessons, etc.

location is nice, all the installations are really organized and clean. lots of activities programed for guests and they offer you all facilities you may need ac in all rooms toilets clean good food
