Lovely pub for family overnight and dinner

Lovely stay here. Charming old fashioned pub, with good quality, inexpensive food in massive portions, and clean large rooms. Very pleasant short stay with my family. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Decor in the rooms a little tired in places but almost adds to the charm.

Lovely location surrounded by countryside but only minutes from the A14. Good sized room with a very comfortable bed and a fairly decent shower! Evening meal selection was good and the food was excellent. Breakfast was also very good and all freshly prepared. Would definitely return!

Superb

The rooms were clean and comfortable in a separate building to the side of the pub. It was a pleasure to enjoy the bar and it's homeliness before retiring to bed.

Nice country pub with good food and ale.

Booked a double and was fobbed off with a twin. Proprietor tried to wriggle out of it not appreciated. Room carpet was filthy. (1)

A great stay

Very friendly people and made me feel very welcome would recommend this to anyone who just wants to shut off and relax and the kids area was brilliant for my little boy all round good stay

The walk to the shop was a mission but to be honest I chose to be away from that anyway it was time away from amenities

Lovely place and hope to come back again!

Lovely staff and bar and roast dinner. We were able to have 2 children's portions which was cheaper than sharing z main roast dinner as we have small appetites.

The staff were lovely everyone was super friendly. We had food in the evening and it was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.

The only thing that probably can’t be helped is the noise that the pipes make when you flush the toilet.

Everything. Friendly welcome, shown to room and given details about breakfast in the morning. Ensuite room very comfortable and clean. Good choices for breakfast and attentive, affable staff. Restaurant was open when arrived and a good selection of food available. Free spacious parking.
