Family friendly accommodation

The room and surroundings are well maintained. Room is spacious enough to accommodate 3 or 4 people without any congestion. There's no restaurant attached to the property, but they brought us the food from outside. Recommend for family.

AL Saifa Residency of Byculla East

It had five beds, a good location, we could bring outside food, the neighbourhood was calm, the hotel was close to many restaurants, no problem while booking cabs, owner does not keep pestering you to make full payment, drinking water is available, WiFi is good, there were many cats in the neighbourhood,any problem would be addressed immediately like with the electricity or Television or Water supply and they even provided us extra washroom when needed.

I had a bad experience with this property Room was not comfortable and there is not mobile charging point, they not providing any sanitary items.

Tv not working, mobile charging point not available. Night bulb is not available and ceiling lights flashing

Ground floor, deep in dirty alley, noisy and 0 privacy

I had 50/50 of warm water, when i held it on low pressure, had a nice toilet and working (but loud) AC and thats about it.

Staff was literally 1m from my window and loud noises/music/speech was always late till 12-01am. Also, every room is located on ground floor and everybody/staff is always right by your window. Zero privacy

Good location, clean room

Location is good, just around the corner of bus station. Place is clean. Hot water 24/7. Staff is polite. Bathroom is tiny.

Bed is too short, even for person of 165 cm. Our room was next to the open kitchen (actually one of window was just above stove) so all smells and aromas from cooking came to our room. Since staff were preparing dinner and then washing dishes late in the evening and preparing chai early in the morning, it was noisy while we were trying to sleep. Edit: Owner/manager was calling and sending me messages without any particular purpose in period after booking and before staying, once he called me and ask what is the weather in Delhi.

Amazing

The staff was outstandingly friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way to make sure you got everything you need.The property is very cosy with a calm atmosphere. Very silent street but in seconds you are in the hustle and bustle of Mumbai. I felt very safe here as a female solo traveler. Very close (2 minutes) to Byculla Station which is the oldest in India. From here you have pretty easy access to most of the city especially the sightseeing center. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Good bathroom with hot water. Extremely fast WiFi. I didn't need the AC it was working well. There is also a little cooking stove that can be used by all.

Nothing it was all great. When in Mumbai I will come back!

Friendly guesthouse in a neighborhood

All in context, Indian hotels are hard to compare to Europe or Thailand... . Al Shifa had the guesthouse feel (5 rooms only) with a super friendly manager always ready to help. Location was about 80m from the busy street, quite at night. For Mumbai, the price was hard to beat. And as an extra bonus, when you are sick of the Mumbai traffic, go to the zoo & XIX c. museum of Mumbai located 400 meters from the guesthouse.

Very small bathroom. Specious room (17m2) furnished with 5 beds, no space for anything else. No tea/ coffee in the room, no kettle.

The place is clean and the personal amazing. Shifa and the workers were so good hosts. Always open to help in everything and make the stay an endearing experience.
