About this cottage rental
White Rose Cottage is superbly appointed to create a truly romantic atmosphere for couples to simply relax. Established for special occasions, romantic breaks, weddings, honeymoons, short or long stays this accommodation option will leave a lasting impression.
The beautifully restored, circa 1870 duplex workers cottages are constructed of local stone and presented to an unusually high standard for the most discerning of customers. The recent renovations have been sympathetically blended into the old world charm that is obvious as soon as you set foot in the door.
These stylish cottages have not lost any of their character only enhanced by the provision of luxury fixtures, fittings and amenities. One of the most photogenic places we have ever stayed, a pure delight. Nice period fittings and antique furniture.
Timeless and simplistic in design the local heritage listed stone walled building was built to stand the test of time and will remain this way for many decades to come. White Rose Cottage is set romantically within a beautiful cold climate garden and surrounded by traditional iron bark post and rail fences.
On the doorstep of the cottage is a beautiful alfresco dining area under seasonal grape vines entangled around a gorgeous heavy iron bark pergola. A large dining table and iron chairs sit adjacent to the original 1800s cottage water well, garden and trees with views of the Post Office clock tower.
A cosy and private setting White Rose Cottage is perfect for those romantic weekends or extended stays where it should just be the two of you. Wake up in a queen bed surrounded by pillows and birds chirping out side. Enjoy breakfast in the alfresco dining area or the privacy of your own cottage.
Star gaze the big southern skies or relax with a local wine and enjoy dinner using the well equipped kitchen which includes a range of complimentary items including sugar, olive oil, herbs, tea, instant and ground coffee.
Your heritage accommodation is conveniently located within 600m stroll to Tenterfields Post Office, main historic shopping and business precinct. Why not visit one of Australias most charming movie theatres in the Sir Henry Parks School of Arts building for a truly memorable evening, you will think you’re in Gold Class. A short drive can take you too many local restaurants, cafes, wineries, galleries, beautiful gardens, museums and golf course.
For bush walkers, a great base for experiencing the tracks, creeks and rivers, wildlife, wildflowers of our nearby national parks along with the Granit Belt and all it has to offer.
Wildflowers and stunning granite landscapes are special features of Girraween, Boonoo Boonoo and Bald Rock National Park. Boonoo Boonoo has a spectacular waterfall and boulder river where Bald Rock has the largest granite rock in Australia and offers simply breath-taking vistas when approaching, during the climb and from the peak.
The cottage is available for location hire and photo shoots and has a strict No Smoking policy.
Accommodation is suited to Adults Only, Sorry No children or infants are allowed.
Pets, as much as we love pets, unfortunately with the type of furniture in the house along with the unfenced garden makes it totally unsuitable for pets.
For the peaceful enjoyment of all concerned parties and functions are prohibited and the price charged is for domestic use and not commercial use.

Beautiful little cottage that was very clean that had the basics in a fabulous location. Perfect for what we needed. I was not that happy that you couldn't open the front door which would have let a nice breeze through. My feedback would be, however, that the property manager allow you to book through Stayz without requesting your personal details be sent to him privately (data safety concerns) to give access to check in details. Also, details of lockbox should be provided clearly so you don't need to contact the prooperty manager again upon arrival to work out how to get in. I found this annoying and intrusive.

Disappointed
It was advertised that we could sit under the stars and enjoy a fire in the wrought iron fireplace .. this was not received well by the owner when he informed us at the site it was not to be used. The main reason for booking this site was for the fire!
We therefore felt uncomfortable when he would return during the day at times.
The property itself is beautiful and well kept!

A fantastic stay
Beautifully appointed cottage with equally beautiful private back gardens. Both charming and comfortable in every respect. Located within walking distance of the Main Street with its array of cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. A truely peaceful and tranquil stay discovering all that historical Tenterfield has to offer as well as the near by national parks. Highly recommend.

Quaint little historical cottage
This little cottage was spotlessly clean, in a good location and had everything that you would want/need. The bed was very comfortable. Sitting out on the back patio of an evening listening to the birds while sipping local beer and wine was lovely too.

Charming cottage
This is a great place to stay. My partner and I stayed two nights while we were enjoying the town and surrounds. Communication with Bruce was quick and effiicent and accessing the key was easy. The cottage is immaculate and charming. It was about an 8 minute stroll down to where most of the cafes and restaurants were. The bed had an electic blanket which was great for warming the bed and the heater in the bedroom created a very cosy feel.

Comfortable and Cosy
White Rose Cottage was comfortable and cosy. The kitchen appeared well stocked however we ate out so didn’t need to cook. Coffee pod machine was a nice addition. Shower was nice and hot. The price was very reasonable and so much nicer and more comfortable than staying in a motel room.

A little gem.
White Rose Cottage in Tenterfield is a little gem. Check in was very easy, Bruce' instructions clear and precise. Much of the cottage is original; old fashioned door locks with huge key openings (but combined with modern dead locks of course) original fittings still in place on the windows, period furniture in the very comfortable sitting room all giving the feel of the Tenterfield of Henry Parkes.
But the kitchen and bathroom are as modern as you would wish with everything supplied. Its setting a little way off the New England Highway ensured a tranquil night's sleep.
White Rose Cottage is highly recommended.
Dolly and Paul.
