Breakfast was cold but abundant. it needs to be ordered one day before, however, I managed to talk to the staff(manager) and get one by late notice (during the breakfast time). I have taken the room key by mistake, and the staff did have patience to wait for my colleagues in the Swiss to send it back ( with a bit delay). Great experience also made there with the hotel guests, we did a visit to the island center together.
Hotel room is bit old.

Clean, organized and cheap for the location.

Friendly staff and near busstop.
Hotel is right next to a road. We experienced extreem noise from the road in the room, its a busy road day and night(see picture).
No wifi reception in the room.
Room and bathroom where dated.
Only one small pillow per persoon.
We where there for 2 nights and the room wasn’t cleaned on the second, no clean towels and bed not made.

Everything.
I strongly recommend it.
Nice tidy good food.
Nice people.

The reservation on booking was made for a certain amount, and on departure we were charged a higher amount of money, justifying the difference as the tourist tax although it was not specified in the reservation and on the website.

The staff was very friendly, room was cozy and clean, and breakfast was also good. We did not have any problems at all.
Cannot think of a thing. Really recommend!

The room has a good size and there is a good view to the mountains.
There is no elevator, we had to carry a big suitcase to the 2nd floor. There is no AC and it was really hot those days.

Nice room, very clean, friendly stuff :)
No elevator. It was inconvenient to drag suitcases up the narrow stairs to the third floor.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff gave us bus tickets to go the island. It was very handy and easy to use. Appreciated.
Breakfast is nothing exceptional, however it is cheaper than usual accommodation in the area.

The lady at the reception was very welcoming and took her time to explain to us how we could take the bus to Lindau center and Insel, which is only 15 minutes from the hotel (bus tickets are free because you pay city taxes to the hotel).
The rooms were rather small, but everything was clean and comfortable, so we enjoyed our night here!
There isn't a lot of parking space at the hotel itself, but apparently there is more parking space a little further.
It's next to a somewhat bigger road, but we did not really experience any noise pollution.
3.5
nice terrace to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset

The hotel is nice and clean. The old town of Lindau is very pretty and was not too crowded during my visit in late September. A free bus ticket is offered by the hotel which offers a direct connection to the old town (during daytime).
The hotel lies in a quiet residential area with seemingly not much to do in the immediate surrounding. It does not have its own restaurant (other than breakfast). Walking to the old town takes 45 minutes or so. You can take the free bus, but that does not go after 20:30, so you have to take a taxi if you want to stay in the old town all evening.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Bulligan. It is located around 4km from Lindau Island at the northern perimeter of the town, but there are half hourly buses to the island from almost directly outside the hotel and they run in both directions until around 22:30.
My double room was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed and good shower. There are vending machines available in the breakfast room which are accessible 24/7; I particularly enjoyed the bottles of lemonade from them!
The Hotel Schönau, directly opposite this property, has a restaurant which is open to the public and serves German and Italian dishes. Other than that, there are no restaurants or bars in the immediate vicinity. Around a 20-minute walk from the hotel is the Bambusgarten restaurant, which serves Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. It has a cosy terrace on which to eat in the summer sun. Highly recommended.
The Hotel Bulligan is a great budget option in a town where hotels are generally very expensive. I will certainly look to return on my next visit to Lindau.
I had trouble connecting to the wifi and ended up reverting back to my 4G.
