We loved the location. The cabin could be very nice if it had some updated furniture, bedding, etc. Everything is very worn out.

Beautiful location, the cabin had a nice open floor plan. The drive way was not plowed and it had recently snowed about 8-10 inches, we were able to get in ok, but a vehicle with lower ground clearance might have difficulty making it up the approximate 100 yard length driveway. Check in was very easy. The check out instructions asked to walk the trash can to the end of the driveway which was hard to do, given the driveway length and the deep snow. Otherwise, the check out was pretty easy.

Sweet cabin in the woods
We had a great stay over Thanksgiving weekend. The cabin feels like it is hidden in the woods with no one around, but it is easily accessible. There is a beautiful mountain view from both levels. We had everything that we needed to cook and relax.

Perfect getaway
This is our third time to stay here. It is perfect! The cabin is ideal with a balance of rustic and coziness. We’ll be back!

It was great
The only thing that would have made my stay better would be having a fire pit and some of the mattresses upstairs need to be replaced. Everything else was excellent including our 4-legged visitors.

Quaint and quiet
We had a nice time in this little house. It was very clean. Beds were comfortable. I would not want to stay more than a couple nights because there’s no WiFi and no data available. Very little for drinking glasses other than coffee mugs. Like I said this place is great and super tucked into the woods but for lack of kitchen things and WiFi would not want a long stay here.

We are always on the lookout for HOMIE when we use VRBO. This cabin/house in the woods right outside of McCall fit the bill. Eclectic and for sure "dated" to some degree, it also had a nice TV with cable, was uber clean and cozy...with the snow falling, simply magical.
The only changes we would have made was 1. Having at least one round of firewood to use in the woodstove. 2. More blankets (There was a comforter on bed and one thin micofleece in drawer). We could have pulled from the beds upstairs, but it would be nice to have it readily available and IF all beds were in use. 3. A later check out time of 11 A.M. would also be nice since 4 P.M. is kind of a late check in compared to hotel stays.
It was nice to be close to McCall, but also feel removed. We had a doe and two bucks visit us our first morning as we sat on the back porch. The bucks were chatting with each other which was pretty amazing to hear, having grown up with a dad who constantly practiced deer calls.
We will go back!!!! <3 <3 <3

Rustic, but great
Amazing how even though this cabin is not far from town, it is peaceful.

Perfect Remote Getaway
We were able to fit 3 couples and a kiddo very comfortably. The house was very clean and enjoyable. We enjoyed the remoteness yet ease of access to town. Thank you for the great stay, wed rent again!

Woodsy retreat
We loved our stay at the cabin. It’s totally surrounded by woods and you feel like you are in the middle of the forest. We saw deer every day in the yard. It’s just a few minutes drive into McCall or to hiking or the lake/river. The place is a little older but the location more than makes up for it. No A/C but it stayed nice and cool due to all the trees. We would happily stay there again!

Rustic retreat in the forest
My wife and I loved this place for its location in the woods, rustic character, and solitude. We did wish they had a coffee grinder/chopper and dishwasher (the latter especially during the pandemic). The place was very clean, although there were off-smells in the upstairs bedrooms. Our kids were really wanting wifi/internet, but my wife and I liked getting our kids unplugged. Phone service was spotty. Vacasa was not good with communication, but it didn't detract from our experience.

Rustic digital detox
As stated in other reviews there is no WiFi am very little cell service. This should not deter visitors from choosing this rental. The rustic feel surrounded by forest and wildlife make you feel like it is just you and nature even though you are just minutes from downtown McCall.

Cozy rustic cabin
It is a privately placed rustic cabin that offers a quiet mountain escape. There are a few things that made the stay difficult. There were only 4 glasses (one was cracked) and three wine glasses. We drank our drinks out of small mugs which became more comical as the evening progressed. There is no dishwasher so after the first day we went to the store and purchased disposable items. For two bathrooms there was only one hand towel and no washcloths. There also were not enough body towels for each of us. My bed only had a fitted sheet with just the comforter on top. The bed next to me sunk down so badly in the center, she added pillows to the center of it and covered it with a blanket to try to level it out. The staircase was a modified ladder with tilted steps that made getting up and down challenging. I would not recommend this to anyone who is older in age. The WiFi did not work and cell service worked only for us outside on the driveway. This place has so much potential, it’s too bad the little details are so easily overlooked.

We came here in early June for a few days and enjoyed it so much we looked up when it was available again and booked another week!! We’ll be back too!!

Mouse poop
There was mouse poop in several locations. I have pictures. We most likely won’t rent from you again because we were seriously worried about when it was cleaned, which it should have been shortly before we came due to COVID-19 .
I have pictures, it was gross

Rustic cabin
The location is definitely set out of town from McCall. Quirky little cabin definitely showing it’s age but everything you would need for a little rustic get away.

Perfect-We didn’t want to leave!
A perfect blend of rustic cozy cabin with a modern touch. Bed was wonderful. Fully stocked kitchen tools. We are already planning our next visit.

Peaceful and comfortable
We loved our stay at this cabin and found it easily. The water smelled a little and tasted a little different, but I am picky with water.

Awesome tucked away cabin
Great place to stay, has that old school cabin feel. Easy access to McCall without having to stay directly in town. Would defiantly recommend staying here.

Great little cabin in the woods!
Cozy, quiet and warm! It was the perfect getaway for me and my wife for a few days. Close to town, easy access from pavement and cute. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Quiet , yet handy to McCall. Needs a blender.
Ck. Electric heat. Early morning would not always come on. Had to turn off at breaker and turn back on.

Wonderful Cabin
The cabin was well laid out for us...just my wife and I. We didn't have to use the upstairs rooms. Very quiet. Great views. Listened to the wolves howl in the distance at night. First for us. If you have a bigger group and need to go up and down the stairs, your review might be very different. The stairs (ladder) to the top bedrooms is very steep. Wouldn't want to try to navigate it at night. But there is a bathroom upstairs so that would help.

House in the Woods
The deer showed up daily. It was peaceful and quiet and perfect for our family to gather with small ones. Not too fancy but enough of the essentials. Would stay there again.

Charming cabin, delightful location. Would definitely rent again.
My husband and I rented this cabin for a few day's getaway. We had a great experience. The cabin is secluded and quiet while still conveniently located close to McCall, Payette Lake, and Ponderosa State Park. It was the exact peaceful escape we were seeking. Beautiful meadow view from back porch. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee while watching deer graze feet away. The cabin is charming and comfortable. It was equipped with everything we needed. This was a good thing though because Urbo gave us no way to contact them if there was a problem. A welcome card on the kitchen counter instructed us to call them if we needed anything, but didn't give a phone number (the cabin has no wifi). A couple other (minor) criticism: The first floor bathroom sink was clogged and didn't drain properly. At night, there was a really bright light shining on the front of the cabin that made a loud buzzing noise. There was no way to turn it off that we could find. We found both the bright light and buzzing annoying, but not to the point that it detracted from our stay. The water had a strong smell and taste of sulfur, so if this kind of thing bothers you, I recommend buying water like we ended up doing. These are all minor issues. Overall, we were very impressed with the cabin and our experience there and would rent it again in a second.

What a cute place!
We were so comfortable! This place was very clean and beautiful! They had everything we needed. Being at this cabin makes you feel like there is no one around. Watching the squirrels in the back yard was so peaceful.

Great experience in nature!
Our families had a good time in the cabin. Good experience for our children in nature. “No Wifi connection” naturally herds children finding a way to have fun together without devices. The cabin is surrounded by woods and we did feel staying in completely isolated area; however a big/nice grocery store is actually just 5 min away from the cabin (and the store opens until 11pm), so this is really nice and easy for us as parents.
At McCall Lake, children swam and played on the beach all day long!
