The cottage was a great spot to hang out. It’s located next to the ocean so we enjoyed a beautiful view while having coffee in the morning. Communication with the owners was excellent. The kitchen had everything you needed. The bed was comfortable. The cottage had a LOT of decor. It was cluttered with knick knacks and pictures. The space would be more appealing with a pairing down. The space is definitely not kid friendly. The shower door was awkward to open but overall functional. We would stay here again.

Location is perfect for Peggy's cove, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg and many other places to visit, go for a ocean side drive or just sit on the deck with a beverage and watch the ocean. We highly recommend this little jewel for your vacation stay !!!!!

We had a fabulous five day stay with Randy and Arlene. They are wonderful hosts and their cottage is a real gem. Perfect location for exploring all that the south shore offers.
The cottage is well appointed and cozy. The front deck is a great spot to enjoy the amazing view of St. Margaret’s Bay.

The property and its owners could not be more welcoming. We were evacuated from our home due to Tantallon Wildfire for 9 days and stayed here for 3 of those days. During a very uncertain and stressful time this cottage gave us a beautiful safe haven. My adult sons are autistic and the ocean is a calming place for us...we often sat on the front deck just listening to the waves. Thank you for everything Randy & Arlene !!

Randy and Arlene are great hosts. They met me shortly after I checked in and were very friendly and helpful. The cottage is directly on the ocean with an expansive view down St. Maragarets Bay. The main road is between the cottage and the beach, but the traffic is generally light and nonexistent around and after 5-6pm. It really is a non-issue. The cottage is perfect for two, but no more. The kitchen is fully equipped with good quality cookware, which I appreciated. I highly recommend this stop if you’re traveling between Yarmouth and Halifax!

Took my mom here for a milestone birthday and it was beautiful. Property managers were welcoming and helpful. We had amazing views. Very reasonable for what you get. Absolutely nothing negative to say. Thank you!

We just loved the cottage, had everything we needed and then some. The friendly hosts Arlene and Ramdall, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We loved swimming in the nearby beaches and visiting Peggy's Cove. Lunenburg was wonderful we got to see and go on-board the iconic Bluenose II. Of course Halifax's ocean front board walk down town just 30 minutes away is a must too. We would recomend this getaway gem to anyone out there who loves their privacy and having breakfast everyday with a wonderful ocean view.

The cottage was beautifully and tastefully decorated. It was equipped with everything possibly required and many little extras as well which was so generous and thoughtful. The deck was a lovely spot to sit out and the bed was oh so comfy! Can't rave enough about this magazine perfect cottage and we will definitely return! Many thanks to the lovely owners.

Cyclist Paradise!
Randy and Arlene are just as amazing as all the reviews. On site, respectful and superhosts extraordinaire. Ditto to every kind word said about them and their beautiful cottages. Spent 2 weeks here without a car..just my gravel bike, no problem. The Rum Runners trail is right behind the cottage providing safe, minimal elevations, wind shelter, oh so scenic witheasy access to.... Restaurants, shopping and amazing inexpensive farmers markets.
One way, 7km, Hubbard's Bay, 20km Tantallion, 20km Chester and 50km to Halifax harborfront. Bikes super safe here, just bring a chain lock, more than enough. If you don't feel like cycling all the way to and from Halifax there is an express bus in Tantallon. 1 stop only and up to 2 bikes load onto the front. I also did a bunch of road riding, it is busy on the main road along the coast in summer but early mornings are fine. Also, try the Aspotogan Loop (peninsula) a stunning 70km round trip from the cottage and absolutely worth it. Great bike shops here in Tantallon and newly opened Scotia Cycle at Hubbard's. For repairs, gear l, coffee ect. I can't say enough about my time here. Can't wait to come back again next year!
Thank you so much Randy and Arlene!
