Ruime Badkamer, rustige centrale ligging appartement

Geen tv aansluiting met de zenders Bij de reservering van het appartement stond vermeld dat we door de host persoonlijk ontvangen zouden worden, dat was niet het geval, de sleutels moesten we zelf uit de sleutelkluis halen

Close to station

Apartment was close to the train station, within easy walking distance of the city. The amenities were all there, such as kettle, washing machine, etc. It would be good for families with children as second room with 2 single beds.

The host pretended they would meet us to hand over the keys, when there was a key lock-box. It was irritating and unnecessary. Most apartment hosts send the key details as soon as you have paid.

No parking available, really bad communication from owners, lousy beds, unstable shower temperature

Location is close to city center

Where to start? Free parking is listed as one of three key features but parking is public street parking and an absolute nightmare. Small narrow streets with cars double-parked everywhere. During our 4 days stay we saw 1 empty space in the neighborhood and it was gone within 20 seconds – we drove around for more than 1 hour on arrival (along with 20 other cars desperately looking for a space) and ended up parking more than 2 kilometers away. When we complained we were just told to look around and sometimes you might get lucky and they even suggested that we could just park across the street in front of a big sign stating “keep clear, parking not allowed” Also, the apartment is NOT a two bedroom as listed and the pictures are of a different appartement. The apartment we stayed in had a living room/kitchen/dining area with two single beds and one bedroom with a double bed. When we complained we were told that we had rented a different apartment with only one bedroom. Booking.com is now looking into this issue The double bed is squeaking so loudly that you can barely move a leg without waking up your partner. Water temperature in the shower is really unstable and constantly switches from too hot to too cold and you end up spending more time outside the shower. Waste of time and water. We brought some very expensive MTB with us and placed them inside the apartment. We took extreme care not to scratch anything and placed them in a corner of the apartment. Same night we received a message from the owner that an “employee” had seen us bring bicycles into the apartment and that we had scratched every single wall in the hallway and inside the apartment and had reported it to Booking.com. How they managed to observe something that did not happen and why we don’t know. There were literally hundreds of existing marks and scratches already on the walls and stairway in the hallway and inside the apartment (we took pictures) so how they could tell the difference....

Check cleaning and bed sheets at your arrival

Close to the center, nice bathroom, nice kitchen

All the bed sheets and pillows/duvets smelled like sweat at our arrival. Luckily the apartment has a washing machine but it took some time to sort this out;(

Smell of cigarettes in apartment but Great location

It was spacious apartment within walking distance from the city center so location IS great..

The whole apartment smelled like cigarettes like someone was smoking in there A LOT. We could not get rid of the smell even when we opened All the windows. We are Non-smokers so this was a huge disappointment fór us.

A nice place to stay in the heart of the city.

It is at walking distance from the heart of the city. A phone call is all it takes for an easy check-in and check-out. Reasonably priced. It's clean. Plenty of towels were provided for comfortable showering. The beds are comfortable too. There's a TV with plenty of channels, a washing machine, fridge and plenty of cups/glasses in the cupboards. A baby seat/chair is included.

Parking can be a hassle, it may be hard to secure a spot nearby. There is no air conditioning.

Location was close to city and railway station. Penny market and electro car charging station was just next corner. Parking at night was a bit tight, but in daytime easy. The apartment was functional, clean and thought through. Communication and hand over with owner was positive.

Many young people living in the building. They smoke in front of entrance door and smoke would get into the apartment above. Switch for common areas is inside the entrance corridor. With door bell for ground floor apartment right next. One must enter and reach the switch in darkness, it's easy to miss it and ring the bell instead. Sorry for the neighbor I woke up first night.

Location, close to main station. A supermarket close by for groceries. Facilities were fine.

Thought there were 3 bedrooms. Was only 1 bedroom. The whole apartment was 3 rooms.

Misleading

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU NEED PARKING. The free onsite parking listed is street parking, if you can find a spot, that will cost you a 20€ parking ticket. Not a lot of positive to say. Although the apartment itself was clean the stairwell was dark and musty smelling and in need of repair. No, you don’t stair one the stairwell but it does make your first impression. The apartment was somewhat updated but furniture was old, the fridge had a strange odour and the coffee pot didn’t work.

Walkable to old town.

For 4 adults, this was not an appropriate place....there was 1 bedroom, and 2 singles in the living area, so privacy is an issue. The road and area outside was quite loud...cars driving over cobbles and people shouting on the street. Unfortunately it was warm, and with no air conditioning we had to keep the windows open to stay cool, so it was loud. Street parking only, which you had to get lucky to get a spot. The apartment was ok, the building a bit dingy.

clean house

The house was very well maintained. Remodeled a while ago, it's really clean and easy to use. shampoo and body cleanser also good.

This is different from the description and photos on booking.com. This should be improved by booking.com and the host together. It is noisy late at night. At 11 o'clock the doorbell rang, and at 12 o'clock the door knocked. The back of house and aisles are shared, so the sound of running around late at night and early in the morning is very noisy.
