Great location, a couple of minutes walk from all the main sights. Gaby was super friendly and helpful. Room was big and clean. Great value for the money.
There are two dogs that live at the property, one of which is a rescue dog and can be a bit tempremental. We like dogs so it didn't bother us but if you didn't you may feel uncomfortable.

Quiet place
Nice and clean rooms
Welcoming people
Some communication issue : asked if breakfast was possible a bit earlier because needed to leave earlier. They Said yes and unfortunately, morning-after, i couldn’t have the breakfast earlier (7.45 instead of 8). I clearly prefer that people would have said no, somehow i can arrange myself in an other way
Pillow if im a bit touchy

Very kind and friendly hosts and staff. They go the extra mile to accommodate your wishes, e.g. adapt breakfasts for vegans.
The rooms have an attractive boutique style and have all the facilities you need. A really comfortable stay.
An extra fan in the room would have been good. Nicaragua is a hot country.

This hotel was perfect for our stay. Centrally located, the hosts were very friendly and accommodating, great breakfast cooked fresh each morning, and the price cannot be beat. Our hosts arranged for us to be picked up at the Manaqua airport which made it stress free upon our arrival. Our driver took us to a beautiful spot overlooking a lake for lunch which was amazing. We ended up using our driver for our entire stay. One day he drove us to swim in Laguna de Apoyo and then to see the lava at the Masaya Volcano. At the end of our stay, he took us to San Juan Del Sur. The hosts has great recommendations on where to eat and local tours. We even had 1-hour massages in our room for $25.00 USD per person arranged by our hosts! We would definitely stay again!
Would like to have AC. The hosts said they are planning on getting AC for each room soon.

We stayed in a stand alone garden house which was very spacious, private and cozy. It had big french doors looking out into the greenery. The room had a tv, lots of storage space and big fan. Big bathroom with hot water. The breakfast had good selection and was very tasty. We could leave things in a small fridge at the back. There was a lot of positives and we enjoyed our room.
The room got very hot even with the fan. We kept the french door and window in the bathroom open for air flow but then got bit by sand flies and woken up by the barking dogs. We would have gladly paid for a/c extra if it was available. The property also has a lot of rooms clustered in a small garden area so there was a guy swinging on the hammock right outside our room smoking, with smoke being sucked into our room. It is strange walking by people's rooms with everything being on display. One of the dogs seems rather aggressive, growled, barked and nipped as well. With so many people on the property, it should be better trained. I am scared of dogs and would not be comfortable entering the property in the evening when nobody was around. There is sometimes also lot of barking at night. All of these are just some organizational negatives. The property is in a great location and the owners are very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

A gorgeous spacious room. Lovely breakfast and communal space. Nice open air kitchen also available to cook in the evenings. Cheap and fun day trip to Apoyo lagoon.
We had a lot of mosquitos in our room when we first arrived, they were completely gone the next day when the anti mosquito plugs were changed - it would have been great if these were changed before our stay to avoid them on night 1. The room has a fan but no a/c - so it's still quite warm even with the fan - but bearable!

Located 200 meters from the city center. Clean and spacious rooms. Great breakfast and very nice staff that prepares the breakfast freshly in the morning. It is quiet and the beds are very comfortable.
There is not a lot of room to relax in the hotel. There is only one chair provided outside the room. The garden is dry and sometimes there is a smell of cat urine in the garden.

It was quite luxurious the bathroom had hot running water, which is quite rare in nicaragua. The hosts were friendly, and so were the staff, and the breakfast was also very nice.

Staying in Granada was great and staying in Il Padrino was definitely a highlight of our stay in Nicaragua. The hotel owners are super friendly, always there to help their guests. They recommended us really nice restautrants and booked a tour for us. Room was very pretty, clean, comfortable and it was quiet. It is surrounded by plants and it makes he stay soooo relaxing. Breakfast was always delicious. Location of the hotel is just great- it is very peaceful and quiet, but at the same time very close to the city center.
Nothing, everything was perfect.

great location in Granada, walking distance to anything. Toby and his wife are super chill and very helpfull.
i understand the high cost of energy, but AC would be very nice.. We were there during the hottest period, end of April and the rooms only have windows on one side of the room so there is not really a draft in the evening, the matrasses are covered by a plastic cover to prevent sweat soaking in the matrass (wich i understand) but this amplifies your own sweating, so very hot, sweaty sometimes uncomfortable nights.

Comfortable, clean, well located, nice hosts and tasty breakfast. They helped us with the activities and attended to our very special breakfast request of nacatamales :)
We didn’t ask the hosts, but the kitchen didn’t seem up for use. So, if you are planning to prepare some meals, ask in advance.
