This was a wonderful place for us as a family with 2 children to stay at. So close to everything , walking distance to food shops bars and the lake. The views from house are spectacular. Had some games of pool and played UNO in front of the wood fire at nights.

We had a great stay here for a couple of days while exploring the Wanaka area. The house is very spacious and comfortable. Classic 1970s features and furnishings added to our enjoyment of the house, we loved it! The pool table provided some relaxed fun on a rainy day. Kitchen has everything you need, plenty of plates, glasses etc. The views across the lake to the mountains was constantly changing with the weather, beautiful. Just down the road are the food trucks and the cinema, as well as the supermarket and lakefront restaurants. Great holiday house.

Was amazing location and its was great dealing with Wendy

The house is wonderfully set up, with great comms from the owners. Views out over the lake are stunning and it’s one of the closest possible residences to the town centre. Superb!
4.7
Difficult to review to his house because it was being renovated when we stayed. I can say that for the people coming after us, this is the best spot in Wānaka and the view is magnificent. When the deck is completed , it will be fabulous. Old style home. There are a few things that can be done better, more internet use, more toilet paper, and the owners need to pack away their personal possessions.

The location is right in town, slightly elevated to capture impressive views across the lake. So, that part is great. The house is quite run down and the description of 15 beds should be taken with a large grain of salt. Upstairs are 3 normal bedrooms which sleep 6. The description indicates that the master bedroom can sleep 4, which is hard to believe. Downstairs is cold and there is no privacy as the two rooms are divided by glass walls. Might work for a big family but as a group of adults, it was more backpackers than BnB. We were warned not to go on the balcony because the railing was falling off and there were builders coming during the day. We were not offered any kind of compensation for this. We had to ask for a screen door to be removed because it neither opened nor closed which made it difficult to enter and leave especially with bags. Looked like it had been that way for a long time. It is an old house which needs a lot of work to bring it to the standard of most short term rental places.

Loved the central location and views were just breathtaking. House and beds are comfy, and living areas are great for relaxing. Fun to play pool too. Wendy was very helpful and informative, and not cross when we forgot to move out!

Large roomy house.

Huge warm house, plenty of things to do and right in town! Great place for a family holiday, LOVED it!

Clean and tidy. Great view and location
We had a group of 11 so a downstairs bathroom and toilet would be a plus for the property. Very handy to township.
Would stay there again.

Great location perfect for our stay. 200m from town.

An awesome house for our over 50s tennis tournament. Fantastic communication and the house is very spacious and comfortable. We definitely look forward to returning next year.

Our family of grandparents, 2 couples and 10 month old granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place is very spacious and the view is beautiful. We liked the closeness to the foreshore and the shops. The house is very well equipped, the beds were comfy and the bathrooms clean. There was plenty of off street parking for our three cars. We even enjoyed a game or two of snooker! This is the perfect place for a large family or group of friends.

Location couldn't be better. Yes, the interiors are dated but the views more than made up for it. Wendy was very communicative and answered all questions we might have had. Bonus having takeaway coffee and food on the doorstep, well almost!

Very comfortable large home with everything we needed and a magnificent view.

Lovely location and views. Will be back.

We loved our stay in this large centrally located house. The house was built in the 70s and has stayed in the 70s (complete with record player)! For size, location, views and price you're unlikely to beat it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the house and it’s proximity to town and the roads in and out of Wanaka. The kids could walk down to the waterfront and the oldies loved going to get their coffees. Linen and towels were lovely. Kitchen crockery was adequate. We brought our own coffee machine, toastie machine and air fryer with us which helped with meal prep. All in all it was most enjoyable. Thanks Wendy.

went with husband and two boys 9 &14. They were straight into playing pool on the old table downstairs.
The house is absolute mint 80’s, with original features which was pretty cool. Luckily the appliances and bathrooms have been updated as well as the carpet upstairs.
It was clean with fresh pressed white linens for bedding and clean white towels.
Is a few metres up from food caravans, and 2 min walk to the shops, and maybe 5min walk to waterfront.
Lots of room for bike storage and parking. We had a small jet boat which fit in the garage along with our 4 bikes. The driveway is a bit tricky to get for some, possibly? The neighbours drive has great through access though. We were in 4wd hilux with boat and got up the drive with one of us guiding to make sure nothing was hit, and needed to put it I to 4low. So if you have a bigger vehicle or towing something larger, park it on the street and go look to see if the neighbours drive is car-free!
The lounge was very spacious, with a large table and 8 seats as well as 2 toilets and two showers. Lots of individual beds too so would be great for a large group!!
Kitchen had oil, spices, baking basics etc so very well supplied. 80’s kitchen but has new DW, new fridge and an older electric oven.
Worked well for us and would stay again.

Thank you Wendy.

Fantastic property. We were able to have young adults in their space and older adults in theirs, and not bother each other. When it was time to get together that was easy as well. It felt like home and had all the ammenities we could have hopped for.

This house was absolutely perfect for our needs. We skied for 5 days and rode from Arrowtown to Gibbston another. So many clothes to wash and dry and wood burner was brilliant. The house had everything we needed to do our own catering and the kids loved the games cupboard. We’ll be back!
