Nochmal in Monschau, wieder im Haus Stehlings.

Die Zimmer (soweit wir einen Blick werfen konnten) sind super eingerichtet für das Preisniveau. Unser Zimmer "unter dem Dach" war für uns perfekt eingerichtet mit Tisch zum spielen und Kühlschrank / Kaffeemaschiene. Die Monschau Suite (siehe Photos), wo wir einen Blick rein werfen konnten, war mit einer komplett eingerichteten Küche samt Spülmaschiene ausgerüstet. Es ist eine altes Fachwerkhaus, gut aufgearbeitet mit entsprechendem Charm. Im Umkries von 200m gibt es Restaurants und Bäckereien für den Fall, dass man das Frühstück nicht selber machen möchte. Wir waren jedenfalls begeistert.

Eigentlich nichts. Nur ein Hinweis: Die letzte Treppe zu den Zimmern unterm Dach ist etwas enger und steiler, was aber eigentlich kein Problem ist.

Rustgevend Monschau, adembenemd mooi. Net een sprookje

Het verblijf is een echte aanrader, midden het centrum, rustgevend door het water. Adembenemend mooie streek.

Relaxing and beautiful

The apartment is beautiful and comfortable. Coffee machine, sweet treats waited for us. The location is great with a great view. So much character in this top floor timbered apt. Host was great as well

A lovely stay in a unique location

Amazing location on the river. Historic building. Beautiful view. Comfortable beds. The owner phoned us to make sure we had hot into the apartment without any problems.

A great experience!

The house offers a stunning view of the village. The house itself is ancient and slanted, but that only adds to the experience. The room itself offered all things you would expect from an apartment, including a fully equipped kitchen.

The only downside of such an old house is that it's poorly isolated, so you do hear your up- and downstairs neighbors walking around. But this too is to be expected from an old house - just bring earplugs if you're sensitive for this and enjoy the rest of the experience!

Lovely, cosy, charming rooms

We booked the top floor, it was really comfortable and cosy. We could hear the sound of the river, which was very relaxing, amazing views of the town and river and mountains beyond. The accommodation is located right near restaurants, cafes and the Christmas markets, Monschau is a beautiful little town to explore. We loved our stay and wish we had booked more than one night. Our host, Johannes rang after we arrived to make sure we were happy and promptly responded to our text messages about parking

No negatives about the accommodation, the stairs are steep so might be difficult with large suitcases. Parking was very difficult due to the Christmas markets, so we had to park outside of town and walk approximately 15 minutes to the accommodation

We had a wonderful stay at Haus Stehlings. The apartment is very large and well equipped. It has spectacular views on the small town and river. The owner of the apartment was very helpful. Monschau is a special place for us. Can't wait to visit again.

A great place to stay in an adorable town!

The location was amazing and very comfortable! And our host could not have been more helpful! Parking can be a challenge with with his help we were successful!

Excellent place, location and host

Very good value, great beds, quirky rooms, brilliant shower and an ideal location with an extremely helpful host. just a few minutes walk from the car park, we loved the sound of the stream with the window open and the bells chiming. The only negative was nothing to do with the property, but there are limited choices of food and you need to eat early, 90-95 % of restaurants were not open. Having re read the last sentence this would certainly not put us off staying here again, I would think the Xmas market period would be brilliant, and the Printen the host left for us was fantastic

Quaint apartment in the heart of Monschau

What a wonderful spot, in the heart of Monschau with gorgeous views up the river. Up a few flights of steps you find a beautiful apartment in the local style, a little lopsided but that is part of the charm. Everything is in walking distance and you are right in the middle. Perfect location to take a hike. Monschau was a charming village and Johannes was kind and helpful, recommending local restaurants and explaining where to park. It was a great stay.

An excellent location in the centre of the village. A stepping back in time, but comfortableand cosy accomodation.

Magical Monschau

Location, the view from all the rooms...spectacular!!! And of course, Johannes was awesome as host. He had provided very clear instructions and useful information and reco's on restaurants. Danke schön, Johannes! Will definitely come back:)

The weather was exceptionally hot during our stay so it would probably be nice to have had an electric fan available.

If you're traveling with family, this house is the best option for you. It's very spacious and, perfect location with the amazing view! It's only three minutes walk from the public parking garage (7 euros a day) and restaurants are located right across the street. The host was very friendly and quickly responded my requests. Again, if you're looking for the place to stay in Monschau, you won't find better place like this one!

Very good

View was exactly as in photos - right on the bend of the river looking into the village. The main room was very spacious, as was the lounge. Local biscuits left for us was a nice touch, and the owner checked everything was alright as we were heading out that evening.

The rooms were a little tired, bordering on shabby. Nylon sheets. One of the towels smelt a bit damp.
