About this house rental
Reminiscent of an old barn on the outside, the farmhouse is luxuriously fresh, contemporary, and romantic. Enjoy morning coffee on the porch surrounded by nature. Wander miles of forested trails or a casual island bike ride or paddle nearby waters. Located in the historic farming community of Eagledale, your lovely 850 sf home is two miles from the ferry and a short walk to forest trails and Puget Sound waters. You will love the fresh, white, modern and light-filled interior. Radiant pipes heat the concrete floors and wood-planked vaulted ceilings top off the bright space you will call home. A special Vermont Castings propane stove keeps the space warm and cozy while thoughtful finishes show incredible attention to details. Privacy abounds in your space and on the surrounding green space. We love to have dog visitors and provide special amenities when you let us know that your 4-legged family is joining you when you book your stay.
Your adventure begins...
...in a new, modern, and fresh space with tons of natural light and privacy. Just imagine waking to the sounds of farm animals, sipping morning coffee on your covered porch as sunlight breaks through the big leaf maples. You can spend your days wandering miles of forested trails, biking island roads, kayaking or paddle boarding or combing sandy beaches of Puget Sound, searching for sea treasures. When nighttime falls, share stories around your backyard bonfire while counting stars as they fall from the sky.
Reminiscent of an old barn on the outside, natural light bounces off the concrete floors and fills every nook and cranny of the bright space. Built with materials that match LEED requirements, allergens, dust, and dirt are as minimal as can be in any living environment.
Radiant heated concrete floors keep you warm when winter days are wet and chilly, and cool when the sun’s rays spread wide across the yard’s big leaf maples. Scattered throw rugs add a dash of color and a soft landing for bare toes. A black cast-iron propane stove, set in a large fireplace surround formed with Rocky Mountain Granite, anchors the open kitchen and living space. An oversized white bubble fan swooshes air in and out paned wood clad windows, keeping the temperature inside always comfortable.
The well-stocked kitchen has all the essentials for cooking. You can cook in the gourmet kitchen with a full set of spices, pots, pans, and baking needs supplied. The special, new appliances include a Thermador dishwasher and gas stove/range. The deep farm sink with pull-out faucet makes cleanup easy.
The bathroom, covered in white subway tile from floor to ceiling, boasts a deep tub and shower combination with excellent water pressure, a comfort height toilet, and a modern vanity with porcelain sink and countertop.
The main floor bedroom has a queen Tempurpedic bed, four oversized windows with views to the forest and open field, and expansive closet space.
Up in the loft you will find a comfy Simmons pillow-top queen bed. Measuring almost 250sf, the loft offers an additional living area with sofa, desk, plenty of drawers for personal items, and bookcases filled with games, reading material, and treasures from around the world. A favorite, heirloom wicker rocking chair anchors the corner.
As a bonus, the grey sofa in the main living room pulls out to a twin-size bed.
Roller shades cover the windows on both levels of home.
A washer and dryer are provided.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Little Farm while we were on Bainbridge Island for my cousins wedding. The location was east to get to, and we enjoyed getting eggs and banana bread at Winney Farm across the street. The beds were very comfy and we slept great. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed cooking breakfast there. It was an exceptional place and would definitely stay there again!

You smile the minute you walk in. The reason for 4 stars is that the bed linens needed replacing.

This was our second visit to the Little Farmhouse. The bucolic surroundings and glorious silence make this the perfect place to stay when visiting Bainbridge Island. The kitchen is well stocked and super-efficient—don’t be fooled by its small size. The beds were very comfortable and the fireplace and in floor heating make the house cozy warm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This is my second time staying at this cabin, and my opinion of it has not dimmed. Caroline clearly thinks about and honors the guest experience when setting up this space. I visit the island at least twice per year, and this property is now my go to for each of my visits.

I was a bit reluctant to not book in Winslow but as soon as we landed here we knew we had made the right choice. The house is in a beautiful little agricultural valley just south of Winslow. We had privacy and natural beauty. Everything was set up perfectly for us. I've been reading about VRBOs losing some of their allure because of some owners demanding arduous check-out requirements. This was easy and fair. I think we were just asked to load and start the dishwasher and to take the trash out. Simple and reasonable. Thank you!

The Perfect Island Retreat
I grew up on Bainbridge, but have lived in LA for the past 18 years. Every time I come home, I try to capture some of the old island charm that I remember from my youth. This is the first place I have stayed that has helped me to that. The neighborhood is relaxing and rejuvenating. The attention to detail in the little farmhouse is on point. It is abundantly clear that Caroline cares about her guests and their experiences. I will definitely return to this property.

Light, airy, open, and very private, this little farmhouse was delightful for us 3 adults. The home is very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. The beds were comfortable and sheets sooo soft. I would definitely return. Helpful notes: the upstairs bedroom is open to the living room downstairs and although the dresser is ample there is no closet in that room. Check out Heyday Farm Stand on the same street, and Heyday Farm's second location - we had a terrific dinner there with local produce.

Loved this house! It was perfect for my family. House was clean, had all the amenities we needed, and was in a nice quiet neighborhood. The owner, Caroline, thought of everything a family would need. My two young girls loved how there were lots of markers and paper. This was key since it allowed my husband and I to sleep in. :) Would definitely come back!

I had a business conference in Seattle. My kids were on fall break so we decided to make a mini vacation out of it. I traveled (with a rental car) to the ferry everyday for work and my wife and kids explored the island during the days. The Little Farmhouse was very comforting after work and my kids had a blast running around the property. We loved our stay.

Perfect!
A perfect spot to rest and relax while exploring all Bainbridge Island has to offer. The farmhouse is nicely private and beautifully appointed, with all the conveniences and necessities of home-- including great beds, a cozy wood stove for chilly mornings/evenings, a fantastic covered porch to enjoy the warm afternoon sun (or comfortably watch the rain) and welcoming items for our pup. The location near many of the island's farms added to the experience!

The Little Farmhouse is a bright and cheerful guest house in a small family farm setting. Our two small dogs enjoyed walking to visit cows, chickens and horses along the lane.
