Es war vor einiger Zeit deutlich schöner, ist aber noch eine gute Adresse.

Im Gegensatz zu früheren Zeiten hat die Atmosphäre (u.a. der nach wie vor fehlende Kühlschrank) im Hotel und beim Personal deutlich nachgelassen, der Geruch ist muffiger geworden und das von uns anfangs sehr geschätzte Gefühl des „Nachhausekommens“ fehlt seit ca. fünf Jahren völlig.

Bestens, wir kommen wieder.

Wer hätte gedacht, dass nur 10km von meiner Wohnung ein solch schönes Hotel existiert. Wir hatten ein wunderbares Zimmer mit noch schönerem Bad. Von dem Frühstücksraum ganz zu schweigen. Wunderbar, ein wenig hellhörig aber trotzdem perfekt. Ich war in mehr als 140 Ländern dieser Welt, auch in den VAR, aber ein solch unaufdringlich schönes und im Gesamteindruck nur schwer zu überbietendes Hotel ist mir bisher fast gar nicht untergekommen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, das schöne geräumige Zimmer und das wunderbare Bad. Warum in die Ferne schweifen, das Gute ist so nah. Hat für mich eine ganz neue Bedeutung bekommen!

Der Abfluss in der Dusche Zimmer 7 sollte gereinigt werden.

Es war Toll und wir kommen sicher wieder...

Die Zimmer sind alle traumhaft schön, sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Das Frühstück ist Mega, eine Vielfalt die seines Gleichen sucht und die Bedienung ist so Lieb und zuvorkommend. Die Lage ist perfekt.

Der Herr an der Rezeption könnte wirklich etwas freundlich sein. Die Betten unter dem Laken hatten keinen guten Reinigungsstand für diese Preisklasse. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis insgesamt ist ein klein wenig ungleich für den Standort Görlitz, wobei wir uns trotzdem sehr wohl gefühlt haben.

The Room was very spacious and extremely well decorated. The bed was super comfortable and the whole area was very propitious to spend time in the room resting. The staff was very friendly. With a special attention on the bar/restaurant.Amazing Staff. By the way, the restaurant is a delight. Definitely worth a visit for dinner.

The breakfast was what did not live to the expectations. I mean. It was good, do not take me wrong. But it lacked variety. It was dissonant to the rest of the outstanding experience. I reinforce, but it was still good. Just not as amazing as all the rest in the hotel.

The room on the 4th floor was beautiful, there is a really lovely restaurant on the ground floor. They are dog friendly, staff was polite and fixed a misunderstanding with parking. Very central location.

No parking guaranteed, so if you are by car best is to just navigate to parking garage and save yourself the round trip. The reception was open till 6pm but the gentleman left at 5 and was seemingly waiting for me as the last one to check in. I did not get a moment to ask about wifi password or early check out. At the end I found wifi password in the room and left my card as I left at 7am (paid my stay online), so no huge issues. Breakfast starts at 8am (on Sunday) which was too late for me, sadly. Paid for it during check in but couldn't wait that long. They don't do room service. So be aware when chosing breakfast.

Breakfast and service were both good. The location is perfect for visiting the “Altstadt”. The rooms are well-appointed, a simple elegance without ostentation.

Very good

A luxurious boutique hotel with a lovely restaurant on the edge of Untermarkt.

I booked the most expensive room, mainly for the air-conditioning, but also because it seemed to be at the rear of the hotel and would be quieter. I was given room 15 at the front, overlooking the square, which at first I thought would be fine. But during the course of the evening I realised that the bells from the Rathaus pealed every 15 minutes. Fortunately I had ear plugs with me, but if I had known earlier, I would have asked for room 13, which has windows overlooking the side street. Room 13 was apparently more expensive, and I was a bit confused because I thought I had booked and paid for the best room.

I would recommend staying here, but caution against breakfast and the awful beds!

The location of the hotel could not really be better and the setting and style of the building were beautiful. The position on the Untermarkt plaza is really pretty, with an array of nice little cafés and restaurants very close by. My impression of the room was initially great! The style and decor was nice, and the shower had great pressure and temperature. The bathroom was immaculately clean, too. Overall I liked the room, except for the bed (see negatives). The staff were largely friendly, especially in the bar and restaurant. The food was very good and the range of local beers was great. I felt the meal was reasonably priced for the quality.

The room had no integrated AC (it was up to 35 degrees during the day) and only a very noisy and ineffective standing fan that made it hard to sleep. The bed was extremely poor; the split twin style and post feet on a wooden floor meant that it constantly shifted around when trying to sit up in it or move around. Worst of all, the pillows were like half filled bags of sand and the duvet was an almost comically thin strip that was made up at 90 degrees to how one was clearly supposed to sleep in it. This meant that if you wanted it to have coverage along your whole length it was barely wide enough to cover you, or you could have it wide enough but half the length of your body! Just utterly bizarre and horribly uncomfortable! The breakfast was OK, but it was not made clear to me on check in that it was an additional charge, which, at 16 euros a day, I did not feel was good value. The coffee was bland and there was no hot food option at all. Finally, the WiFi quality was abysmal. I could barely connect to it at all, and when I did it kicked me off routinely and couldn't support even basic streaming usage. This made working very hard, and I often had to go out to use the 4G connection hotspot on my phone.

If we ever come back to Görlitz, we will try to stay at the Emmerich Hotel again.

Everything! The staff was very friendly, the rooms were spotless clean and beautifully decorated and the location was perfect - right in the middle of old town with lots of restaurants and bars.

The breakfast room was only accessible through a few stairs. We were traveling with two persons having difficulties climbing stairs.

Great place in heart of the city

Wonderfull hotel! The design , decor - everything is top! Ideally clean. Very friendly and helpful hotel team, we enjoyed every moment of our stay! We had wedding day and were vert happy that we choosed this hotel to stay, because room is just beautiful to enjoy the stay , as well as perfect for photos.

The room was really big and quite comfortable. The decoration was nice. The room had enough light sources. The blinds were a good addition. The restaurant downstairs was nice and the food was good also. The wifi worked well.

The room was showing the first signs of wear and tear. Because of corona, there wasn't anybody at the reception when we arrived, so we had to wait a bit. The car park is a couple of blocks away so you have to unload quickly as the street is narrow. There was a light sewage smell from the shower - maybe because of under-usage due to corona. Be aware that the toilet door is slightly see-thru.
