It’s about 15 minutes by tuk tuk from Ambewela station. gorgeous view from the property. great food at the restaurant too! i went to hike the horton’s plain very early in the morning, the staff prepared sandwiches for me.
alcohol license is still on the way, so the restaurant doesn’t sell booze.

Amazing hospitality. The manager Mr Nayan Wikramasinghe, the caretakers Mr Seelan and Elango, were simply amazing. They took care of all our needs and went over and above to make our stay memorable.
The view and the setting amidst nature is simply the best. Additionally since it is outside Nuwara Eliya, it is away from all the hustle and bustle.

Mooie kamers in een prachtige omgeving. Het diner het ontbijt was echt heerlijk. De omgeving is prachtig om te wandelen.

The location is amazing as it is facing the Horton Plains and the view you can enjoy from every angle is just breathtaking. It was nice to be within a farm from which the hotel picks fresh vegetables daily. There are wild animals that you can see during the day.
The food was actually very good and always adapted to our needs and the availability of the farm nearby.
Most of the staff was inexperienced, but few of them were very kind and responsive. There could have been more attention to keep the room fresh and fixing few things which were not working.

beautifully designed hotel
The description indicated that the room is soundproof, but as soon as we went to bed at 11pm the boiler/pressure pumper/generator/whatever it was started making extremely loud noises. We couldn’t reach anyone at reception and these noises continued ALL night every 2 mins. We had to sleep with ear plugs and headphones on. No compensation was suggested by the General Manager. Sad to say but we expected a lot from this hotel and we’re disappointed.

Everything about this place is incredible! The place is absolutely beautiful in every respect, from the architecture, to the furnishings, to the garden and surroundings, to the food! And the staff are extremely professional and so warm and welcoming - muru and ilango thank you for an unforgettable experience!

This was our most expensive place to stay in Sri Lanka and we did not regret single rupi :)
The view, the common area, the room which has heated beds! they cook food with ingredients from their own garden which they happily show to you. they also offer us tractor tour at their fields :) we felt so noblese with the way we were treatad. At the end of out stay they also cleaned our tuktuk! so thoughtful and friendly staff!❤️
thin walls, bring earplugs

The view was amazing! They use vegetables grown on their farm. The room was great. We had our own balcony and a shared living room. The food was exceptional. They took into consideration our dietary restrictions. The staff were very nice and attentive. We didn't want to leave!
No chairs on our balcony. The bathroom had a little mold...

The location is in a beautiful setting, we loved walking around the farm which is where the kitchen gets all its vegetables from. The whole sustainability ethos was great to see and is evident in every aspect of the property. The staff (Navod and Ilango) were so attentive and made every effort to help us in whatever way they could.
If you were staying for 3 days or more, perhaps a little more variety on the menu would be ideal.

I liked the hotel. the views are amazing, especially on the mountains in the morning when it's sunny. the staff is friendly, help with any question. there is a personal driver with adequate prices, knows all the main attractions. the chefs are of the highest level, they cook qualitatively, the breakfasts are excellent, my wife is absolutely delighted with homemade cream and strawberries, they are wonderful.
it's cool and rainy in the middle of the island, we didn't take warm clothes with us, so we were freezing in the hotel and in the room. when we said that we were freezing, we were given a heater.

We had amazing time there, all personal is so helpful and friendly. One of the best food we had at Sri Lanka, all from own garden, strawberries and fresh mountain vegetables. we recommend to all who want to escape from heat and chaos of big cities. it’s a great place to discover Sri Lankans hills and also Hortons plains. Thanks to all from hotel especially manager.

The hotel has a nice design and is located in a beautiful area that can be observed through big panoramic windows.
The food selection in the restaurant does not offer much of local Sri Lankan cuisine, water in the shower goes cold after about 5 minutes, lack of sound proofing means you can hear toilet flush in the next room as well as people chatting which is annoying and unexpected, the room was cleaned only after a friendly reminder.

the check in was quick the staff was very friendly the room was very spacious and clean the view from the room was breathtaking the whole villa was empty and felt like home away home. the balcony and the service from the staff was exceptional.
check out time could have been extended by the management but it was never a problem as we had a long drive back to colombo.
