This was a cute house perfect for visiting Capital Reef National Park and super comfortable for a family of four. We loved sitting on the porch in stargazing. Overall a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend to anybody

Grandpa’s log cabin was perfect for our needs.
It was clean and comfortable. Local coffee place was great and staff there gave us great tip for sightseeing.

It was a great location for our family and close to Escalente. It was a little difficult to find a place to leave our garbage in the town. We received a few looks and weren’t sure where to put it . Other than that it was great.

“Grandpa’s Cabin” is a great spot for a family lo BFF weekend. The house is comfortable and well-stocked. We appreciated the labels in the kitchen that let guests know where to find things and put them away! We would return for sure!

We came to hike and visit friends. We did both and enjoyed our stay. We were out all day and didn't get time to watch TV.

Great cabin conveniently located to everything we wanted to do in the Boulder/Escalante area. Comfortable, clean, well-stocked. Beds were comfortable, heat worked well, plenty of hot water, and extra blankets for cold nights. Plenty of cleaning products, so we could clean up after ourselves. Wish we had more time to sit out on the deck and porch. Easy to find right off the highway, but no noise at night. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

We were pleased with my choice for resting and reviving from a this crazy world.

Waaaaay overpriced! Facility and furnishings were in disrepair. Heater in dining area let off sparks. Damaged floors and old funky Dark and unwelcoming. Clearly this cabin is purely an income rental only with minimal care. Obviously you do not include negative reviews since only positive reviews were in the VRBO site. What’s with a damage fee? And extra fees!

Great experience! The house is clean and cozy, well stocked with kitchen supplies, things are labeled and everything was easy to find. We had a bit of trouble getting the electronic front door lock to open initially, and the bathtub drain had frozen, but the owner was fairly quick to come by and solve it. Contact info by the door may need to be updated. Heaters worked well though, and the overall experience was a good one.

The cabin was very clean and the photos represented the interior of the cabin well. The property is next to the main road through the town, so occasionally you can hear road noise-- we were going for more remote when we booked, but it was okay. Location of the cabin to where we planned to go hiking was great. Cabin had everything we could need. Where we were frustrated is that the description mentioned everything except that the cabin has no A/C. Looking back at the listing, it certainly doesn't mention that it does, but with the descriptions of a peaceful location to enjoy R&R we assumed that it would be an actual reprieve from our hot hikes. No such luck. And no ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Also-- there was a strong scent of skunk... especially in the laundry room as well as the left side of the cabin, where the porch is. So-- as clean and welcoming as the actual cabin was, it was hardly a place to relax or even get sleep. Even with all the windows open to attempt to find a breeze to sleep it didn't help, it only made the entire cabin smell like skunk. We sadly won't be back to this cabin, though we definitely will be back to the area.

I wouldn’t be too upset about this property if we hadn’t spent over $800 for 2 nights. I can look past it being out dated, and a weird set up, but the fact that we couldn’t take a hot shower was an issue. Then to top it off the beds were uncomfortable, sink was dripping and backed up, and it was pretty much located in a trailer park. Again, had the price matched what we got, I wouldn’t be all that upset. But it was 100% not worth what we paid for.

I thought it truly was in Boulder town not out in that strange little subdivision. Cabin smelled like fish. Otherwise all good.
