Lived up to its name, Sunset Colors. The location was idyllic and the resort lovely. Our beach front hut was lovely. The beach was not really great for swimming, nonetheless there was enough island hopping, swimming and snorkeling activities available. The food at the resort was good and it was enjoyable eating our meals on the beach. The host, Luis, was excellent. He was likeable, easy to deal with, and when a mistake in the booking was made on his part, he owned up to it, which was refreshing. He also proved to be very accommodating.
Nothing to dislike regarding the resort itself. An airconditioned room would have been a plus though. The fan did an adequate job though. Just beware of "nik-nik" if laying down at the far end of the beach, away from the resort.

Ogólnie, miejsce to zapewniło nam niezapomniane doświadczenie i gorąco je polecamy.
Głośna muzyka w tle w nocy z resortu obok. Być może jednorazowa?

Amazing location, very helpful and friendly staff, good food, excellent accommodation for the money you pay.
There is no hot water but we did not expect to have. Few choices in the menu were not available for the food, low on provision, but you can choose other options. Overall excellent services.

Sunset colors is for those who look for a more remote vacation on a beautiful quiet beach with gpod food and drinks.
At the same time it means being restricted regarding comfort as the bungalows offer the very basics but all in all that is also fine.

Very peacefull, spacious room, picked up and dropped off from barton by boat, I think for where it is and difficulties face by the remoteness a great job, you could complain about insects and animal noises but need to remember your in a remote spot from a remote spot situated between the jungle and the sea, I won't complain about gods work.
Just stayed one night but it was relaxing thank you
Older thin towels thin pillows, new thicker towels and an extra pillow per guest would fix that

Sunset colors is a hidden gem! If you want to have the perfect relaxt holiday vibe, this is your hotel! We stayed for 4 nights and wish we stayed longer.
The hotel is 20 minutes by boat from Port Barton. The hotel has a boat service that runs 3 times a day. This is definitely part of the charm!
Having breakfast, lunch and dinner (all very yummy) with the sound of the sea, right on the beach, is just perfect. And the cocktails!
The cottages were very comfortable. You wake up right at the beach! We also had an amazing massage on the beach organized by the hotel.
The best part about sunset colors is definitely the staff! Everyone makes you feel directly at home! We enjoyed the time with the staff so much.
Nothing.

Very relaxing place. Great food, wonderful service. Beautiful sunset. Of course, this hotel is not for everyone (for example no electricity at some hours, no air conditioning). But all in all we had a great, relaxing time :)

Their coffee is great!
Breakfast at the beach is wonderful!
Use of Kayaks. It is a great area to go Kayaking.
Internet connection was good using mobile data(Globe prepaid) but I think there is a particular time window that it will be strong if you need it for work.
Not really not like but make sure to bring bug spray to prevent sand flies from biting you while at the beach. Also bring calmoseptine cream to take care of the bites.

fabulous beach. gorgeous views eating with toes in the soft sand. friendly staff. good food. great breakfast. cute huts. comfy bed.
cold showers (although refreshing). stray dogs.

Nice and attentive staff
Decent f&b
Jungle vibes
Daily cut of power at random hours which leave you without water pressure and your so much needed fan
You can hear the roosters from 4 am
You are pretty much isolated. You need their boat to reach the town and it might not depart if there is no check ins or check outs that day
The beach is only enjoyable in the morning during high tide. After that its just rocks with some water around

We loved the aspect of remoteness and quiet. We loved dining on the beach for all meals. The staff was excellent, attentive, friendly and very helpful.
My one suggestion would be to add a daily special to the menu. The food was very good but the selection was limited due to the small size of the resort.

Beds weren't super great

Cottage was near the beach, stuff was very helpful and always smiling. Junior is the best waiter on the world ! Meals also were very good. Staying at the beach is nice because they offer free sunbeds and poufs.

Restaurant: Value added because they entertained kitchen requests like the off-the-menu shrimp sinigang and ginger tea!
Tour: Luis was very accommodating of our half-day tour boat tour request. Tour was beautiful!
Hotel: The landscaping was amazing, the hotel was right on the beach, sunset gorgeous, romantic dinner tables on the shore (music provided!)
Room: Water pressure was great (no shower and hot water but that's not an issue), windy enough in January so it was ok to lose the electricity for 5 hrs in the night (they're solar-powered), soap and shampoo provided, bed and linen decent, electric fans provided, food delicious and serving more than enough for one person, you don't have water in the rooms but hey you can always ask in the restaurant.
Boat transfer: The hotel is reachable by boat transfer from Port Barton even if it's on the island of Palawan because we were told the roads were difficult with cars. They provided a free transfer (20 mins to Sunset Colors) at noon time, and you arrive at the perfect hour to enjoy the view of the beach from the restaurant/your room.
Pure island bliss: we ordered the coconut juice and they couldn't serve it because the person who climbed the coconut trees was not around. I took that on a positive note, everything was served fresh they could bring us shrimp sinigang in the evening when it was freshly brought to the island.
The setup of the quad room was not impossible (the second bed was on an upper level accessible by a completely vertical ladder), but it would have helped if we were briefed before booking that there was a ladder to go up the second bed especially since we had kids.
Bring aqua shoes so you don't mind the rocky shore (and still a few meters in the water).

Rooms were clean, good bathroom facilities
The bungalow was described as "Quadruple Bungalow Room with Sea View "; Including 2 double beds. There was only 1 double bed, the room barely had space for a second double bed. The bungalow faced a concrete/brick construction site and the jungle. Not the sea. When confronted, Louis, the manager stated that an extra mattress could be brought to the bungalow and that the sea could be seen; The latter statement is true, at 90 degrees to the terrace the sea can be seen between the resorts other beach front bungalows. The manager was not interested to make any conciliatory statements regarding our concerns. We received notice from booking.com that the owner had stated we did not arrive to check in and we had to correct that statement.

We stayed at Sunset Colors for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay! We‘re traveling for 4 months, and went to Indonesia, Australia and now Philippines, finally we found the place we were seeking at Sunset Colors. This was by far our favourite. If you are looking for a bit of a remote place, away from the inrush of tourists, but still with everything needed, this is the best place to go! A huge thanks to Luiz and his staff! They are doing a great job!
Specially Luiz is a really helpful, sincere and funny host. He was always there to help and if needed he organized it for us.
Thanks again for everything! We will come back! :)

Right on beachfront- hear waves from room - wake up to see the sea.
Great filter coffee and French baguette - best so far in Philippines. Good quality food for breakfast and other meals. Drink/meal prices reasonable.
Very tranquil location. Good internet when electricity on.
They arranged boat tour - pick up from beachfront- well worth doing. And arranged van on departure.
Somewhat cut off from Port Barton proper.
You are reliant on boat running c7.30am , noon, 5 ish pm or paying 1500 pesos each time for a private transfer - about 15 mins. You will get wet up to nearly waistline getting in/out of boat! Advise to catch early van to arrive in Port Barton early afternoon.
Cold water only in bathroom.

Hard to say a bad thing about our stay at Sunset Colors. The cottages were clean, simple and the area was so peaceful. The stay was very relaxing, and a great choice if you want a change from busy El Nido. We used their kayak to go to a nearby island and have a swim. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We’d definitely come here again if visiting the Philippines. Highly recommended!
No hot water and low wifi in the rooms but this was hardly a negative.

It’s isolated location away from Pt Barton town. Helpfully staff. Boat day trips can be arranged for pick up from hotel
High winds meant that the complimentary shuttle boat wasn’t available so we had a difficult overland trip to get there. Return trip to Pt Barton by boat was available but with no pier at either end, luggage needs to be carried across a shallow reef to get onto the boat at the hotel end and then we had to get off into the waves with our luggage at the Pt Barton end so luggage got wet and we had to spend the long bus trip to Porta Princesa sitting in wet bathers. Also, various items offered on the menu weren’t available. A little disappointing given the we had made our decision based on the good reviews regarding the food. Water to our chalet wasn’t turned on when we arrived but was quickly fixed. Beach in front of hotel is very narrow and beach is rocky underfoot so requires reef shoes/sandals to walk out deep enough to swim. Hotel is completely isolated so no other eating options are available in the evenings, at least nothing that can be walked to.

What makes this place worth coming back are the staff who made our stay indeed incredibly unforgettable. I've been in Port Barton many times but I wish I know this place back then. KUDOS to Louise and all the staff for making things possible and doing go beyond our expectations which speaks a lot to run this kind of business as not everyone practicing this personalize and more engaging excellent service. You can never go wrong staying at this place as the staff got you covered following the scenery, laid back ambience feels that will help you recover from hassle and bustle of your daily life and the food was perfectly prepared by Chef Joel! We had shanghai roll from day 1 to day 3 and the mixed seafood was outstanding! cant wait to go back, Keep it up Amor, Chenchen, Nyor, Al for all the wonderful assistance extended you guy's are amazing.
Not able to catch the perfect sunset

A quiet and secluded location right on the beachfront with a lovely view of the sea. Friendly & hospitable staff. Nice & spacious cabins which were very clean. The restaurant prices were very reasonable.
The island hopping and snorkelling tour they can arrange is very much recommended.
I'd like give praise to the manager, Luiz, as he has set up the resort to focus on the needs of his guests and to offer a good customer experience at a reasonable price.
Just a couple of minor things....
1...No hot water but due to the location its more than acceptable
2...The beach is a bit rocky at low tide but thats no fault of the host.

This place is absolutely magic! The only noise you hear is the sea, the colours, the vibe, the staff make it the real tropical paradise. Please make sure to go and say hi to Louis and staff of you are in the area.
