Beautiful views and charming decor - local ceramics everywhere and husband and wife were very pleasant .
When checking out,There were Extra charges for more than one espresso at breakfast that were not explained beforehand and city tax which are added but not told to us on reservations. My room was tight with no place for my suitcase and could have been changed , but Enzo stated all booked when there definitely was a vacancy next to one of our rooms -and it stayed empty as we saw key in lock for 2 days with no one in room. I was told to put my suitcase under bed …..Breakfast for three days thou plentiful was always the same fare- different cake or pastry daily would make a fair breakfast very good !

best place ever, best hospitality, best service, best view, most amazing place in Italy

The property was absolutely stunning. The rooms were fantastic and large and the view from the terrace was unbelievable. The property was close to Maiori beach too. This was by far the nicest place I stayed in during my trip to Italy. What separates this place from others is the staff. All of the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, Enzo in particular was a pleasure to meet. When our boat to Salerno was cancelled due to rough seas, Enzo was able to give us a lift back to Salerno with very little notice and for a very reasonable price. The breakfast every morning was very well laid out and of high quality, they even provided us with lemon cream and lemon marmalade, sourced locally. The atmosphere at the terrace was great at all times of the day. Maiori is a beautiful spot and I would highly recommend Montagnella to anyone visiting!

Super warm and welcoming staff that were happy to help with anything! Very cute rooms and a beautiful view from the terrace. The homemade items on the menu like salamis and lemon cream are DIVINE!

This B&B was definitely the highlight of our 6 week holiday.
Enzo and his family made us feel at home during our stay in their beautiful property.
The rooms are generous in size, cleaned daily and most importantly the air conditioning works very well!
Breakfast each morning was absolutely amazing, offering a wide range of fresh food and the property also provided access to 2 large drink fridges that contained both alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy on the terrace at anytime for a very reasonable extra cost.
We would recommend this property to everyone and hope to visit again one day!
4.5
Breakfast has been amazing and location is a little bit far away from the beach with many stairs but the help from Enzo and his father do it easy!… thanks a lot!!!
Everything has been perfect… landscape, food, room, staff, people … everything!

The host Anzo was amazing. Really service minded and helpful in every way. The breakfast was served with an amazing view and I really enjoyed that he thought of the details in the rooms, as well as the toilets. Really lovely place to stay!
Really nothing. Was delighted with the host, so there is no complaints.

The terrace had an amazing view and gorgeous outlook. We loved the quite location away from the front of the beach.
This property was extremely disappointing. We would not recommend staying here. Firstly the rooms were damp. Even though it was 30 degrees outside all our clothes became damp, the towels were damp as was the air. There was very little ventilation. The guests next door brought out there blankets to air because they experienced dampness too.
Our room opened out on to an enclosed deck where the breakfast crockery was stored so every morning around 6 o’clock we were woken by the rattle of crockery and cutlery. We had booked a two bedroom unit. The second bedroom had no external windows and backed on to another room with no sound proofing so our friend could hear everything that was done or said in the room between her and the other room. Our friend had to go through our room to get to the toilet so there was no privacy for either of us. I asked if we could change rooms but told this was not possible.
None of the rooms opened on to a deck so there was no privacy for any of the guests.
We were greeted when we arrived with offer of coffee and tiramisu. We’re we’re initially impressed with this until we went to pay our bill and discovered we were charged for this. We were not told or asked if we wished to purchase these.
The breakfast was adequate but bread and croissants were of poor quality. A bit like eating fluff. The owners were polite but I sincere. It felt like all they were interested in was making some money out of us. We discovered at the bottom of the steps a facility to fill water bottles. The owners didn’t tell us this instead suggested we buy water from there fridge at an outrageous price.

The breakfast was incredible, the view were gorgeous, the bedroom was lovely.

The place is nice, clean. The view from the balcony is beautiful. The breakfast is tasty and various. Enzo speaks great English and willing to help in everything you need.
There are 85 stairs to get into the place.
The parking is not near the hotel. They need to go with you 5 min to put your car and it is very expensive, 25 euro per night.
There was no hot water to take a shower in the morning. Probably they did not turned on the boiler.
There is some problem with the electricity in the room. The light intense changed all the time. For example when you change the intense if the hair dryer all the lights in the roon changed their intense too.

This property is a personal, friendly, family run spot with amazing attention to every detail. They aim for a high-quality experience over a few rooms rather than operating a large impersonal business.
The location of the property gets you up out of town, offering a beautiful view back down the valley over the town of Maiori. A delicious breakfast is served on the terrace, including homemade jams and spreads, veggies, meats, cheese, juice, coffee, etc, all plated up on colourful handmade ceramics. Again, amazing attention to detail and service! The breakfast was a real highlight of our stay.
In addition to the breakfast terrace, our room also had a terrace with chairs and table looking down the valley where we enjoyed drinks (wine made by the owners) and snacks provided in-house.
Enzo made our stay memorable with his attentive service and some great chats. It was the friendliest service we received on our 6 day stay on the Amalfi Coast!!
There was nothing negative about this property.
4.5
It is a perfect place to experience the hospitality of the local people - the family who ownes this hotel do absolutely everything for their guests' comfort. The rooms and the terrace are charming, full of little details like the hand-painted ceramics and plants that enemates the very essence of the Amalfi Coast. The view is phenomenal, just like on the pictures. And the breakfast is absolutely delicious, with home-made jams and fresh pastries from the local bakery. The cappucino is indeed beautiful, as Enzo, our host put it - it was the best I had during our entire trip. I only regret we did not try the home-made dinner the family offers, but hey, at least there is a reason to come back :)
The WiFi is not reliable, the signal goes away every few minutes. The water in the shower is hard to adjust: it is either cold or very hot. The hotel itself can be reached through climbing 80 steps from the road, but Enzo, the host will help to move the luggage up and down. And as he put it: "the more the steps, the better the view", which is absolutely true in this case, just worth to mention that you will need to climb those steps nevertheless to reach the hotel. There is no fridge in the rooms themselves, but there is a big fridge for the guests on the terrace which everyone can use.

lots of steps

Amazing place, beautiful view, nice host, I can only recommend the place :) everything was perfect.
4.5
The hosts were charming and tried to help in everything possible, excellent coffee and a pampering breakfast. You should try the house wine. The location is excellent, you can manage without a car and go everywhere. You should ask them about local events. All the recommendations were excellent and accurate.
You have to prepare mentally for the number of stairs leading to the hotel. But when you get there it's worth it.

Everything! Especially Enso the hostess.

Lovely owner
I like absolutely everything

The view was impeccable with a clear view of the city, mountains and ocean. There were pink flowers and vines growling all around the trellis. Breakfast was scrumptious and superb. All fruit was grown naturally from the owners garden. The orange juice was freshly squeezed every morning. Absolutely delicious and healthy! We were only supposed to stay for one night but ended up booking a second night. The staff were were incredibly kind, attentive, personable and welcoming. We will be back very soon.

The view when you enter the terrace is just gorgeous! It relaxes your soul. The family is kind and friendly and the place is perfect.

The view from the terrace it’s beautiful and the terrace itself it’s so well look after. The bougainvilleas all over, the tables settings and all the small details make it that terrace super charming. Enzo is fantastic and works hard to ensure everything is ok. The cappuccino in the morning…it’s the cherry on the cake! :)
I need to mention that the steps to go up the B&B aren’t that fun, 80 of them! So be prepared!
I believe the facilities are quite new, so it would have been nice to have a chair and also a place to put your bag. We had all our stuff over the floor, so not that great. Bathroom is really well done, but again no place for toilet paper or to hang towels. We had quite few mosquitos in the bedroom as they kept leaving the windows open, so there is no screen or anything plugged on the wall to keep them away. Just few suggestions that would be great!

Vincenzo, Luigi and his staff made us feel so welcome and made sure we were comfortable with everything. Thank you for such a wonderful relaxing stay!
Perhaps the only thing was the noise levels from the other rooms. But this did not ruin our experience.
4.5
The room was amazingly sized and beautifully authentic. The areas was stunning and safe. So close to the beach and had supermarkets etc very close by.
Wasn’t that I didn’t like it, but there is a lot of steps up to the property (no other route) so bear in mind if this would be a problem with you.
4.5
The view and people amazing, so friendly and helpful, breakfast with love and fresh
Only Internet can improved

Stunning views
Steps are a killer, also expensive for what it was, would have preferred somewhere near the centre with a pool
