This Ocean Front/Ocean view gem is located on Ocean Drive in South Beach in the most desirable South of Fifth neighborhood. Located in one of the original Ocean Drive Art Deco Hotels, (Somerset Hotel; circa 1939). The beach is easily accessible just out the back door. The condo is equip with a Beach Club Card which allows you to receive two FREE beach chairs and one umbrella for free at Esteban's Place Beach Service (this is a $40.00 value per day anywhere else).

There is a parking lot one block up on Ocean Drive in-between 4th and 5th street prices vary and are negotiable and very convenient. There is also a municipal garage 4 blocks away on Collins and 7th street they have the lowest prices in the area. We recommend our guests to download - he best parking app - or - Spot hero - for availability and prices in the area.

Lincoln Road, Bars, restaurants, clubs, lounges, and shopping as well as supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, bike rentals and car rentals are all in walking distance.
Inside my apartment- you will be lost in tranquility! Furnished with top of the line appliances and fixtures, a complete kitchen, FREE WIFI, chic beach cottage décor, and 100% cotton towels and linens you will enjoy a luxury not normally seen in comparable vacation rentals in the area. There is a freshly clean comforter provided between every guest.
The condo is on the 2nd floor Ocean Front - with view of the ocean, palm trees and newly renovated pool (from every room) – has lots of natural light with three windows that are dressed in sheer toile curtains and plantation blinds. There is an elevator, 24 hr. laundry on each floor, beach side pool and direct beach access (not across the street like other rentals). There is no better location than this charming oceanfront pied-a-terre.
The condo sleeps up to 4 people maximum, 2 in bedroom (queen) and 2 adults or children on a twin size day bed with trundle in the living room. All linens/towels are provided. There is a completely stocked kitchen, full size appliances, gas stove, microwave/convection and cabinets stocked with glassware and dinnerware should you want to eat in or entertain. There is a dining table for 4. Living area has comfy day bed/sofa and flat screen TV with cable, the perfect place to kick up your feet after a long day at the beach or strolling around South Beach. There is a separate bedroom with queen size tempurpedic mattress, flat screen TV and ceiling fan. The bathroom state of the art shower that has custom designed grey tile and marble bathroom has a top of the line rain shower and shower seat to sit and wash off the sand between your toes. There is plenty of closets to organize your clothes and store your luggage.
It is equipped with an iron, hairdryer and vintage art deco light to help you get ready for the Miami nightlife! Cooler and beach towels are also provided.
Absolutely no smoking in the apartment, which will result in forfeiture of full deposit. We have a smoking alert system in the unit, other than the smoke alarm which chemically detects smokes and notifies us via text message.

Let me start by saying what was great about this rental. It was close to beach! The layout was thoughtful and functional which maximized the small space. There were lots of coffee amenities provided and a large cutting board that converted sink to counter space for food prep (and was the only surface for this). The unit was nicely decorated and clean.
What we didn’t like… I probably should’ve picked up from previous reviews that mentioned “musty” and the disclaimer in the unit description that there is a silent smoke detector in unit, but I did not so I will be blunt. The skunky smell of marijuana was STRONG. It wafted into the unit from the hallway and neighboring units. The hallways reeked of it. If our trip hadn’t been so short, we certainly would’ve relocated. The wall air conditioning units were LOUD and kept us from getting good sleep - I wouldn’t classify us as light sleepers, but not heavy either. The key fob reader at the pool entrance from the beach AND at the side door stairwell was broken. This meant that we had to walk all the way around the building from the beach to enter from the front door. The Internet and cable did not work during our stay. We messaged the property manager when we were leaving to make them aware for the next renter; given our short stay, we did not feel the need to have it addressed while we were there. However, I never received a response from the property manager so I question if it would’ve been fixed had we reported it earlier.

The experience itself wasn’t terrible, but in terms of cleanliness it could have been way better. The place was picked up and neat but definitely not clean. The shower was grimmey and the utensil draw was sticky and messy. The room was a bit musty when we walked in. Definitely smelled dog on the bedding in the living room, and the bedding on the bed was also not clean. The place is really cute nearby a lot of different activities and the amenities were great like the beach chairs. I would say if the place was more attended to and cleaner it would have made a huge difference . The people in the building were nice and communication with the host was easy and quickly responsive.

The condo looks just like the pictures, is small but functional, and right on the beach. There was a cleaning issue upon arrival, but it was taken care of right away. A lot of restaurants within walking distance as well as a small grocery store. Having 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella available every day on the beach is a wonderful benefit to this property.

This was our 1st time staying at Miami Beach. This location is perfect and within walking distance to so many restaurants and shopping and much more. This unit was perfect for us and love it being right on the beach. The beach is absolutely beautiful!
I highly recommend staying here. We will definitely stay here again.

The location is perfect. Communication w property management great. Unfortunately the unit didn’t meet our standards for cleanliness. Everything needs a good clean, the property has seen a lot of use and reflects that. Air conditioning units very noisey and the unit doesnt smell fresh. The building itself is not in good shape, really beaten up foyer and hallways.

Nice location and property condition. Be mindful that air-con units are very loud, every night there was a group of neighbours sitting around swimming pool until late night, so you cannot keep windows open if you want to avoid the noise. Beds are not comfortable to sleep, and I would suggest need replacement of mattress and pillows. On the plus side - sea view from windows is amazing, access to the beach and beach card is definitely a plus (although fairly priced in), helpful beach toys, towels, etc. Unit is equipped enough to do cooking, but kitchen feels small and cramped, so we didn't really use it much.

The place is exactly as advertised and consistent with the pictures. We didn't understand the reviews about the stairs, they were clean and well lit like any stairway you would find in a hotel or apartment building. The place was close to everything but far enough down the beach from the nightlife so that it was quiet. Being a small building there was not much competition to use the private swimming pool or even the public beach behind the building. The back door takes you past the pool to the boardwalk where you could take a romantic evening stroll without feeling crowded or unsafe. This was a great property, especially for 2 people.

The building is all rental apartments. This is one of only 6 that are on the end with 2 windows that look out toward the ocean. It is definitely an old building and the hallways smell. This inside of this particular apt was recently renovated and is well stocked with most of your needs. The cleaning crews do well, but you can tell they rush because of all the buildup of dirt in the corners of the bathroom. The kitchen is small, but ample to cook a small meal for 2. We ended up having to leave 2 nights early due to a personal issue. The host would not refund any part of that, but did say if we came back, they could try to work with us. We understood as they really had no way to rent it those nights. At least a partial refund would have meant a lot, but again, they're there to make money. My review rating has nothing to do with these 2 nights as there were no term violations.

AMAZING
My friend and I came to Miami for my 21st birthday. This condo was IDEAL. We had a blast and met some really cool people. It’s nicely renovated and the AC works like a charm. The beds are so comfortable (there is one main bed and then a sleeper sofa type of thing in the living room). When I come back to Miami, this is 100% where I will be booking to stay. You are also smack dab in the middle of Ocean Drive and right next to all of the action (definitely don’t rent a car, we used bikes the ENTIRE time, & legs of course). We obviously went to Miami for the night life and was able to enjoy it all while being within walking distance to get home a little drunk😂. During the day, we went and slept on the beach which is directly out the back door. SO SO SO nice and just loved everything about it!☺️

I would advise to bring extra washcloths that you can leave there. It is close to the beach, However there is a heavy homeless population in this area. No balconies at this hotel even beach front. The hotel employees were very fast to return an email if you needed something. The room is an absolute maze of light switches which many light bulbs were burnt-out. The rooms were clean but the stairwells had not been cleaned in years they were absolutely nasty.

It was so nice seeing the sunrise every morning from the windows of the condo. It's full of natural sunlight all day. The condo was very clean and well equipped. The owners are very accommodating and quickly responded to anything we needed. There is a property manage, on site, during the day. Everyone was very friendly and helpful! The location of the condo is perfect! You can walk out the back door and you're at the pool. Then you walk a few hundred feet and you're at the beach. What more can you ask for? It was so nice seeing the sunrise every morning from the windows of the condo. It's full of natural sunlight all day. The condo was very clean and well equipped. The owners are very accommodating and quickly responded to anything we needed. There is a property manage, on site, during the day. Everyone was very friendly and helpful! The location of the condo is perfect! You can walk out the back door and you're at the pool. Then you walk a few hundred feet and you're at the beach. What more can you ask for? This unit is the closest unit in the building to the water. The complimentary beachside lounge chairs and umbrella through Esteban's were icing on the cake. If weather is sunny but cool, you can find poolside warmth and wind protection.
The location is perfect. Right on Ocean Drive and 1 block south of 5th Street. Quiet area but 2 minute walk to the action. Restaurants, live music, coffee shops, and more. We did not rent a car. We walked, rode citibikes that can be rented as needed, and ubered when needed.
Any questions or issues, manager Claudia responded within minutes. For example, she had a new coffee pot delivered within 2 hours of my message to her that it was not working. Do not hesitate to contact her.
This place is small, charming, and well stocked. From beach chairs, beach towels, sun hats, sunscreen, beach coolers and even beer koozies.
A couple of recommendations: get liquor and basic snacks from the Walgreens on 5th and Collin's. Cheapest place we found. Instacart will also deliver groceries to the door. There is a Publix that is walking distance. We enjoyed 1 dinner on Española Way, charming but touristy. We ubered to Little Havana one afternoon for live music (Guantamera) and authentic Cuban food. Loved Old Havana restaurant there. And even smoked my first cigar.

I'd go back. I recomend not renting a car, parking is expensive. Uber from the airport is easy and there's car rental places in town for day trips.
