Very easy process and key was all ready - House had everything we needed. 2nd room very small but option of a spare bed was nice if our daughter had come. Kitchen was clean just a few cobwebs. BBQ had no propane but was very spacious. Very thoughtful basket of items we may have forgotten. Easy check out. Thank you!

We are 3 ladies coming from different areas who haven’t seen one another in awhile. The house was perfect for the three of us. Close to eating and shopping and in the evening playing cards and chatting. Beds were comfortable and 2 full bathrooms was nice. Cute backyard to sit in.

The Haley House was a perfect place to stay while we were at the Heart of Texas Show. The set-up was perfect for me and my daughter. The street is quiet but close to restaurants and stores. The house has a lot of treasures to look at and everything needed to cook meals. We loved it!

This house was well located and close to everything we wanted to do. The doggie door and fenced backyard worked perfect for our dogs. The house was clean and the owners have been very helpful with providing all we needed. Just two things that was not positive, first the train is very loud and not pleasant when you sleep. The second, we heard a loud gun shot in the neighborhood in the middle of the night, which scared our dogs. Overall we enjoyed our stay, thank you Kathy!

Great property, communication was great, only thing is to make sure corners are swept out and the the front porch bench is cleared of spiderwebs. We will be back. Different showerhead in master, short people problems, shower head need to angle down for short people.

Waco weekend
The house was in a good location. It is not near the Baylor stadium. It is located near the old stadium that was demolished. The room with 4 twin beds is really tight. You can’t really use the bottom trundle. Great place for 2 couples. Lots of beautiful antiques. Would definitely stay here again.

Weekend trip
We rented this house as a base to visit our children who all attend Baylor. The location of Haley house made for easy access to campus without having to use I-35. The backyard was quite pleasant. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch and seeing the site of the former Baylor stadium through the trees. The den had more seating than I expected for visiting with family and watching tv. Home was clean and well cared for. We enjoyed our stay!

A Baylor Visit
The Haley House had a great location as we explored Waco for a few days. If you are looking for a stark, industrial, bare bones place to stay, get a hotel. The Haley House is full of personal touches, antiques, and meaningful heritage. The Haleys have thought of every last detail, including a basket of things you might need (toothbrushes, etc). When I had a question, Mrs. Haley not only responded promptly, but she CALLED to make sure we had everything we needed!

Overall OK But A Few Issues
It was ok, but the house had an odor of mustiness and “oldness” that was very obvious — the minute we walked in. There is a ton of STUFF in the house, which I am sure is quite meaningful to the family of the original owner, but for me and my friend, it was just too cluttered. The grass needs to be cut in both the front and back yards! There were weeds growing in the front yard, and the grass was so high in the backyard it was difficult for me to find my dog’s poop to pick it up. Also, what is that very odd structure in the backyard? A bomb shelter? On a positive side, the house is very well stocked kitchen-wise and also in the bathrooms, plenty of linens, toiletries, and anything you could possibly need for cooking. The AC worked great, the bathrooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the neighborhood, although a bit sketchy at first glance, was very quiet and we felt safe. It was close enough to everything we wanted to see and do, so very convenient. I’d suggest some air purifiers for the house and more reliable lawn care, plus consider removing some of the artifacts/items that may be contributing to the odor. It was fine for our two-day stay, but I would not stay there again.

Very comfortable, quaint and homey.
Cute little house fully stocked with just about anything you could need. Perfectly clean. Cheerful, old fashioned decor. Our little dog loved the fenced yard. Well-appointed kitchen. Comfy beds. Convenient location on a quiet residential street, although some traffic noise from nearby major road (but this seems typical for Waco.) We would definitely like to stay here again.

Convenient and Charming - Would Stay Again
Cute little house on a tree lined street, in a convenient location. Communication with the owners was great and made our stay easy. Stayed for Baylor Homecoming and to visit our sophomore at Baylor. She was able to get away from the dorm and hang out with her dog for awhile. The back yard for pets was a good size and the fence was well maintained. The home owners have done a great job making everything feel easy.

Everything you need and more...even for your furry friends!
John and Kathy’s rental is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood. They had everything we needed to include kitchen appliances and bathroom amenities. They even had a basket of items for our furry friends that joined us. The history of the home is very interesting and while there are many antiques, the house is very comfortable. The hosts are wonderful! We arrived earlier than expected and within minutes I got a return message allowing us to enter early.
We will definitely recommend to friends!

Antique Warmth
My mom, 3 kids and myself stayed 3 nights at the Haley home. We felt right at home with the hardwood floors and cozy decor. It had all the amenities of home and everywhere we wanted to visit was very close driving distance. The full kitchen, two bed rooms and two bathrooms made it a much more comfortable and affordable option than staying in a hotel. We loved it and would stay there again.

Cottage with Character
My husband, sister, brother-in-law and I stayed here while exploring the Magnolia sites. We were able to bring our 3 small dogs. Home is clean and full of amenities..condiments, shampoo, doggie bowls, doggie door, fenced in back yard, Tv's in both bedrooms and everything you need in the kitchen. Kathy was quick to answer our questions and responded right away. It was nice to find a small home, with character to relax in while staying in Waco.

A lovely home
The Haley House is a small, lovely home located on a quiet street and conveniently located to restaurants and attractions in Waco. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you might need, including condiments, coffee for the Keurig, pots, dishes, etc. There are two bedrooms but sleeps five. The ad says it sleeps six but I'm not sure how. One of the bedrooms has two trundle beds, but there is only room to pull out one. Fortunately, there were only five of us so it was perfect. The beds have good mattresses and are very comfortable. The owners responded to our questions very quickly and were most helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Quaint neighborhood on a quite street in Waco, but near all you need
The house is just a quaint little slice of history and TLC! The house is more like your home away from home and has everything you need. With the rates you pay for football weekends in Waco and girls weekends to Magnolia, The Haley House is a way better option than hotels and a lot quieter. You will appreciate staying there!

Loved our stay here. Great location, within 5-10 minutes of Waco's most popular attractions, shopping and restaurants. The house was spotless, warm, cozy and comfortable. Clean, convenient location, full of nice amenities!
The house was perfect for our girl trip! We were close to downtown Waco and all the sights we wanted to see; Magnolia Farms and the Silos, Harp Design, Antique and Boutique shops. The house was fully stocked with everything we might need. Clean, comfortable and lots of information available about the area for anyone staying there. Would certainly stay again!

The House was the perfect place for our family to stay. We stayed there for 3 months and loved every minute. The accommodations exceeded our expectation. The furnishings made the house very welcoming and really like a home, very personal. The use of the outdoor grill was wonderful for great food. We especially enjoyed being able to cook our own food in a well equipped kitchen. The small things like have coffee and creamer available were a great touch. Our 2 year old and our dog loved the back yard. There are patio chairs and great landscaping. Everything you need for an afternoon outdoors. We like the personal nature and ease of working with the Haley’s they truly love to share their home and worked with us to make our stay excellent. We would highly recommend the Haley house to anyone traveling to Waco. Our daughter is already asking if we can go back.

The home was exactly as promised. It was very clean and comfortable, with everything you could possible need provided. This was our first experience staying in a home rather than a hotel, and our 4th visit to the Waco area. I would reccommend this house to other families attending events in the area. It was so nice to be able to come back to the relaxing living room and back yard. We really enjoyed being able to cook our own food, for breakfast each morning and to have a place for snacks and cold drinks. The owners were prompt with replies to our pre-visit questions and very helpful. Although we had been to Waco several times before, there was a wealth of information provided in the home to help with restaurants and nearby attractions.
