About this house rental
Sun Hill is a lovely home for families or couples looking for that relaxing getaway. In a perfect location of Port Elliot just 5 minutes walk from Horseshoe Bay, the local hotels, restaurants, cafes, boutique stores and much more! Port Elliot is the place to be. Large balcony to take advantage of the beautiful sea views across the large reserve and through the pine trees to Horseshoe Bay.
Downstairs consists of a casual meals and living area with flat screen smart television, Chromecast, portable heating and ceiling fan. Fully self-contained kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. Queen size room and bathroom with spa bath, separate shower, toilet and hair dryer. Laundry with washing machine and drier. Access to the enclosed carport with off street parking, plus a sitting area on the side of the home with barbecue and outdoor seating.
On the second level, there is an open plan living area with flat screen TV, Chromecast, DVD player and reverse cycle air conditioner. Small wet bar area including bar fridge. 2nd and third bedrooms, one with a queen and the other with double bed and bunk. Second bathroom with shower, toilet and hair dryer.

What a wonderful house in Port Elliot, secure parking, great view from the balcony, close to the beach, walked every day, heard the waves roll in at night from my room, the shops and cafes 200m away. It was bliss! Thank you!

Suitable holiday house for families or groups of friends. Stayed 4 nights over Easter. Hot water in the kitchen was fine but in the bathrooms the water was luke warm. I purchased cleaning products to clean the bbq, windows & outdoor furniture. Not an ideal way to spend my long awaited holiday break. Reported these aspects to the property managers so hopefully next Tennant’s can fully enjoy their holiday break. Basic cleaning products should also be available on site.

We found property was unacceptably dirty and run down. It Requires maintenance, change of light bulbs, checking of PowerPoints, changing remote controls or battery in them. The property manager was unaware of the conditions and will change the cleaner.
Also bring everything with you, including dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, tea, coffee, salt , paper, hand soap. The house is bare.
Hopefully more improvements will be done as location is simply amazing.

The location was absolutely perfect and the view from the balcony was stunning. Unfortunately the cleanliness wasn’t great, there were ants throughout the kitchen and in the cupboards, the floors didn’t feel clean under bare feet when we arrived, every room was dusty and the windows were absolutely filthy which meant you couldn’t take in the view unless we were on the balcony. The bed in the downstairs bedroom was very firm and felt like we were laying on the floor. There is a fair bit of maintenance required on the property as it’s tired including fixing the main light in the kitchen as it didn’t work. The lounge room window couldn’t be opened all the way which wasn’t ideal, we needed it open to let a breeze through to cool downstairs as the aircon is only upstairs. Picking up the keys wasn’t ideal, although we didn’t mind picking them up in Victor Harbor, there was no where to park and we drove around for 20 minutes trying to park. A tip is to just park in the LJ Hooker staff car park behind their building. In saying that, once we’d finally worked that out picking up the keys was very quick as they had them ready for us. LJ Hoojer we’re always very responsive and easy to deal with. We did have a great stay overall, it’s just disappointing when you spend so much to not be given a nice clean property, where everything works and has a comfortable bed. Off to the physio now!

This place is nice with well equipped kitchen. It was clean and well prepared. The only problem is the pickup and drop off of the key. It was inconvenient to go to the office located in Victor Harbor.
