The staff was exceptionally friendly!

Excursions from the lodge to view wildlife were good. Staff are friendly, particularly Wende the Manager and Benedict the guide.
The restaurant was not up to lodge standard. It was more like a canteen. The food was ordinary. Attention to detail was poor. For example our superior room patio door would not lock, the bathroom door handle fell off repeatedly.
The area immediately surrounding the lodge was a dry desert of over grazing by farm animals, although the lodge gardens were lush and well tended.

Good location set next to a river. The boat tour was great - especially for first time tourist. They feed the caiman and hawk. Horseback riding was also nice. Food better than expected. Nice staff and friendly tour guides. Good (but not great) animal sightings - especially in the morning (cardinals, a pair of fox, Mutum, Tuiuius). Lots of caiman. Near the parking area is a great place to watch the sunrise and sunset (bring repellent). Nice area to play snooker and foosball.
The variety of wildlife overall was a bit underwhelming. We saw very little on the night tour (2 foxes). Boat tour is great for first-time visitors, but a lot of other places feed the animals. I think the river is a bit too wide for better sightings.

Location is isolated - but that's the whole idea. Great opportunity to get away from civilization.

Unfortunately disappointed by the activities proposed by the hotel. Not in line with nature connexion... during all the tours booked with the hotel, we have not seen any animal… The guides did not explain anything. very different from the tours booked with other hotels. much more “client driven”. Also, the all inclusive formule did not include water neither (surprisingly) glass and ice.
last but not least the rooms are clearly very different from the pictures.

Local tours offered onsite were really good in promoting our immersion in the “pantanal” environment Boat safaris are highlight We saw lots of wildlife including wild jaguar (rare) Food is simple but local Staff helpful Lots of birds around Location near a nice river
Towels were small and harsh Could serve more fruits for desert Pool could be larger

Friendly staff, ready to help. Nothing fancy but it's a good value for money.

A beautiful hotel with clean rooms and hammocks in which to sit and enjoy the multitude of amazing birds. You get one tour included each day and can choose from boat tour, horse tour, safari or night tour. We did the boat tour both days and saw incredible wildlife as well as piranha fishing!! The food was exceptional and staff were wonderful! Highly recommended! The wildlife here is different to what we saw in Porto Jofre so was good to go to both.

Nice resort 3 km from the Transpantaneira road and next to the tranquil Rio Claro river. Consists of bungalows in a garden which is full of exotic birds from the surrounding Pantanal. All 3 meals and one 2-hour excursion per day were included in our stay. There is a choice between 5 excursions (afternoon safari and night safari with an open car, sunrise kayak on the Rio Claro river, motorboat excursion on the river and horse riding). We particularly liked the river activities, with beautiful landscapes. Before dinner, a hotel employee played the guitar and sang brazilian songs in the restaurant. He did it probably for fun, but we liked to listen with a Caipirinha. They provide an airport shuttle, but we took a rental car at Cuiabá airport, which is cheaper and most importantly gives the freedom to do one's own excusion down the Transpantaneira.
It is better to know some Portuguese for communicating with the hotel staff, organizing excursions etc. Cleanliness in the rooms was not perfect; our pillows were quite dirty. It should be easy to improve that, so please make an effort.
