The place is awesome and relaxing. Good for family vacation and far from busy environment.
Tv signal was bad but wifi is good.
Food shop nearby mostly close early at 9pm. So better take early dinner or maybe can cook at the chalet.

Location was superb where u can have the beach very near to you. House is ‘kampung style’ with a touch of modernization, so u cant expect it as per 4-5 star hotel stay. Good for grounding for children.
We stay during monsoon season..so activity were limited due to heavy rain. Will come back in sunny time!

About a week prior to my check in date (19/12/2022), MET Malaysia issued weather warning, forecasted extreme heavy rain from 17-21 Dec 2022 and potential flood in the east coast states esp Kelantan & Trengganu. As Sekepeng is in Trengganu bordering Kelantan, my family and me are worried that the heavy rain might spoilt our holiday and we could be trapped by the flood. Therefore, I sent a request via Booking.com to defer my check in to next year. However, the resort did not responded to my request and Booking.com asked me to call the resort directly using the number provided. I tried to call few times but to no avail because the line always busy/engaged. Until today I didn't hear anything from the resort with regards to my request and I already gave up tyring to call them. I wish them all the best during this monsoon season and hope that they are safe from the flood that is raging in Trengganu right now. I guess the payment that I made has been forfeited by the resort. It is not my fault altogether for not turning up on the check-in day. Leading to my check in date, there were many advise issued by authorities, ministers and etc for us to be vigilant during this monsoon season and I'm just duly heeded their advise for the safety of me & my family. I've tried my best to contact the resort to inform them but not successful. I'm ok for the resort to forfeit my payment as I might have breached the T&C but I regret the manner it was done due to the professionalism of the resort (by being not responding and unreachable). By the way resort looks very beautiful in the photos provided and this feedback has no malice intent at all. It is just another way for me to communicate with the resort.

We love the serene environment, far from the crowd. The chalet and its interior deco of the living room & kitchen were beyond our expectations! The swimming pool, bicycles, bbq corner plus mini view point and swing, among others, are added advantage.
Would be good if we can adjust the shower's heat level. But it was not an issue because the water 'normal temperature' was still acceptable without the heater when we had our shower in the morning.

The only thing that I like is the location as is quite strategic since it is located in the beautiful Kampung Mangkuk, Penarek. The view is beautiful and breathtaking where you can experience the beauty of nature at its best.
The price for one night is totally overpriced with the facilities and the service provided. The property is not well maintained. The cleanliness is very poor as you can spot dirty areas inside the property like on the wooden floor, the bathroom and also kitchen. The chalet has 3 rooms but only have 1 bathroom, which is not convenience at all. The bathroom is flooded with water after taking bath and the sink also the same (water does not flow into the sink- stagnant), hence it is very inconvenience and quite dirty. When I checked in at 530pm (which the chalet should be ready by 3pm), there was still a plumber inside the chalet doing some repairing on the water tank. This should be done much earlier before the guests have arrived. The staff is also quite rude and being sarcastic when asked about the exterior lightings located at the verandah. Since we are staying in the biggest chalet, which is right in the front road, it was quite not safe. When asked about the lightings, sarcastic answer was given. It was very unprofessional for the staff or the owner to respond in such a way. We cant even parked our car next to our chalet as the road is closed. We had to carry loads of our bags and walked to the chalet - which is not convenience at all. The surrounding area of the property is quite dark - less lightings around the property plus the area itself - Kampung Mangkuk, is already in darkness as there are no road lighting. The property should have more lightings around the area to ensure safety of the guess.
