We enjoyed our stay in this home. It was a good base for our travels - to go hiking at Death Valley National Park (1 hour 15 minutes), and then 1 hour to the Las Vegas Airport. We are not gun owners, but liked the unique decor!

Aileen is a fantastic host. She responded to our queries in time and provided all the required information about the place and amenities. The place is located in a nice secluded area filled with all the niceties to enjoy a weekend stay with family and friends. The kitchen is equipped with full range of utensils. The bedrooms are big and cozy. Place is a short drive to near by restaurants. We stayed here to explore Death Valley. Though it’s far from Death Valley, this place suited for our big group. It’s fun to be at a place where the whole group is together and this place provides you that opportunity. You will not go wrong booking this place. You will only end up with pleasant memories. 🙂 This place is perfect for 4 adults and up to 4 children. Aileen went above and beyond in shippping the items we forgot at their place. Thanks again for making our stay a comfortable and memorable one.

House was good. Owners were great. Place was clean. Only downside was the water pressure in the 2nd shower. The master bath shower was fine but the 2nd shower water pressure was pretty weak. Other than that house was great for us.

Great little property for your trip to Front Sight.

Great little property for your trip to Front Sight. The rooms were nice. We had some issues with water pressure but the property owners addressed that for us right away. Although we didn't us it, the "honor bar" was a nice touch. The cleaning and the dry practice areas were a great option to have, as well. The kitchen was great to use and unlike many properties, this one has utensils, appliances, and pots and pans that work. I was going to use the grills, but thought better of it as I didn't want to break them (they looked a little rough). All in all, I will be looking at this property again for my yearly trips to Pahrump.

Great location for family day-trip into Death Valley. Close to BLM land for day of shooting with the boys. Close enough to grocery, gas, and dining while still being far enough away from noise and crowds. We had a family poker game each night which was a nice change from computers and TV. Overall, a great getaway for the family.

This is a great place to stay when you visit Front Sight. We came with our kids and their spouses and it had everything we needed including coolers and ice for taking out lunches. The kids enjoyed playing poker at night too. Will definitely stay again.

I would have given this a full 5 stars on everything, but some of the plates and silverware had stuff on them that made them look dirty, though they were probably sanitized. We ran them through a hand-cleaning and then the dishwasher and they came out the same, so no foul there. The place was great in every other way: location, preparedness, cleanliness, etc. We thoroughly made use of the dry practice space, bbq, etc. Wonderful location. We plan to use this again in the future. Thank you.

Really enjoyed our stay. Perfect place to stay while attending Front Sight. The dry practice manuals and laser training really helped out. Two of the four in our group got Distinguished Graduate after only taking the class once! Definitely will be back here again!

Excellent location and PERFECT set up for Front Sight Students! Owners have thought of everything you could need, find or forget and have really set it up form having a place to clean your guns, including cleaning and repair supplies. Extra seat covers and Knee/ Elbow pads, a fully stocked kitchen, Bar and dry practice area. Only to be topped off by a full poker and Black Jack area. If I were to have my own place by Front Sight, it would be sup up just like this. Great communication from the owners as well.

Comfort and character in the Mojave

We were going to Front Sight training in mid-November, but also really needed a getaway, and my wife and three adult children (ages 18 thru 30) found that at Gene and Aileen's wonderful and relaxing place. Great arrangement for cooking and eating indoors and out, for spending time talking, and plenty of private sleeping space. The game room was wonderful (if cold at night; it's an add-on) and we wished we had more time for it. In fact, we wish we had had more time for the outside: horseshoes, meals, etc. The home oozes with character: military mementos, gun and Front Sight literature and training material (even a dry practice laser target with laser cartridges for your pistol), and a well-stocked library. It is convenient to Front Sight (25 min) and to "downtown" Pahrump (i.e., Walmart, etc.). For shopping, though, a nearby Family Dollar has most of what you'll need. Beds and sofas were comfortable; you have to use stools (provided) for the master bdrm king because it is high. Plenty of closet space. One note: the water is very alkaline so they recommend drinking from their 5 gallon dispenser, which can be easily refilled at Family Dollar. In short, we loved it and look forward to returning!

Fantastic choice for Front Sight trip

Great place to stay for a recent 4-day rifle course at Front Sight. Stayed with my three boys and another dad with two of his. This house was the perfect size for the seven of us. We made use of the poker table, gun safe, and gun cleaning/maintenance table -- all great amenities. The house was clean and safe. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. The owners are very responsive and kind. A fantastic choice for Front Sight students -- we'll be back.
