The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious, clean and cute (we were tempted to buy a lot of the decorations) and the property overall was lovely! Even though it was located in the middle of the old town, noise wasn't a problem, the little sound there was from the stalls added to the atmosphere. And as a bonus, the breakfast was above our expectations.
The wifi did not work inside the rooms. Might be difficult to communicate with staff if you only speak English.

Breakfast and location where truly amazing! The personnel was extremely welcoming and ready to support me with everything. The spaces were extremely clean and beautifully furnished.
Everything was perfect. The only difficulty I encountered concerned some problem with the internet connection in the structure. This might have been episodic, though. I trust that internet is normally perfectly accessible and functioning.

Lovely rooms, delightful stuff, very quirky place, fabulous location.
The location smack in the middle of the souq means it is very noisy...

Great little hotel in Houmt Souk. The rooms are all colour themed (down to matching shampoo colors!) and the beds are very comfortable. There is free parking not far away, just outside the city center. There are two friendly and very furry cats that inhabit the hotel and they are always up for some play. The owner is friendly and accomodating, there is always someone around at night as well, there is a great rooftop terrace and the breakfast (that you can also enjoy on the terrace!) is pretty good too! The location is perfect as it's right in the center where all the restaurants are.
Not much to complain about. If nitpicking I would say that the bathroom was a little small, the shower faces the toilet so you're guaranteed to get your feet wet if someone used the shower. The lamps on the bedside table were metal and they get a bit hot.

Very friendly staff. Beautiful hostel with nice roof terrace
A bit noisy in the night. But that's too be expected in the city center

Lovely hotel in the middle of Houmt Souk. We booked the room with balcony, which was lovely. The terrace was a bonus! I have included the photos in this review. Breakfast was good, room was super clean!
The lady Shala who works there day shift was super helpful, friendly and welcoming.
We parked our car at the Turks mosque (just few mins walk away) no problem at all.
Highly recommended this hotel.
Nothing!

Great location right in the centre of Houmt Souk and close to everything you could need, including some nice restaurants. The room was large, clean, nicely furnished and decorated, and comfortable with plenty of storage space.
Great staff, and a couple of friendly cats, too!
I struggled a bit to find the place when I first arrived, but once I got my bearings, I had no problems.
Breakfast was simple but fresh and tasty with lots of fruit and juices.
Overall, it was a very nice place to stay and I felt very much at home. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
My only very minor complaint was that whilst there were many channels in multiple languages available on the TV, I only found one English-speaking channel. I'm not sure that anything could be done about that, though. But at least the WiFi was good, so I could at least watch things on my tablet when I wanted to just relax in my room.

The roof-top terrace was great, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom although small had plenty of hot water, The staff don't speak any English which we did know beforehand but which impacted on our stay much more than at other places we stayed at in Tunisia,
The breakfast was meagre and all portions were rationed - jams and butter were given in tablespoon sized portions and bread too was two pieces. Half an orange each was served prettily in a dish and sometimes one got dates, sometimes not. On two occasions we got a slice of cake and there was also yogurt and juice, W e were surprised because we had stayed at several other places in our month long stay in Tunisia and found the hospitality bountiful and much more varied - here it felt random! The property is up a set of steep steps which although not a problem for us might be for some.

This guest house is well managed by wonderful hosts. They make you feel at home right away, and the rooms are very nice, clean, well equipped, with comfortable beds. The common areas are great for meeting other guests, or the beautiful cats (who seem to be the genuine owners of the place). On top, there is an amazing terrasse with a great view. The location of the hotel is perfect, in the old part of Djerba, far from the resort areas, but with a few amazing restaurants nearby and a nice vibe, mixed of tourists and locals.
Hot water was a problem at the time of our stay - what a pity.

A very charming small guest house. Great attention to detail at all levels. Staff took great care of us with a smile! We had dinner at Dar Lola the first night and it was delicious. Another plus is that they have laundry facilities. We had them do our laundry, but they allow you a self serve option as well.
Hot water or water at all, can be an issue on Djerba Island. Not the fault of the hotel. Best to keep this in mind for your visit.

Perfectly situated small hotel in the beautiful market town of Houmt Souk. Wonderful hosts who cooked us a fantastic vegetarian dinner and provided a reasonably priced laundry service.
Be prepared for water issues on Djerba. Not the hotel’s fault, but we were told that pipes the island are old and often break. We were without water (and then without hot water) for part of our stay.

Our host Chahla made our stay memorable. She made us feel at home, and comfortable. The place is cute and well situated in the medina. The rooftop gteat.
Noisy because in the medina! Maybe some shades would help the light+noise

Beautifuly decorated, amazing breakfast and the nicest host. Best place i stayed during 3 weeks in Tunisia.
Location is also excellent.
I had to leave 😂

The house is beautiful. The location superb-walking distance from Ghazi Mustapha Fort and St.Joseph Church. Right in the middle of Houmt Souk.
Taxis can't come to the hotel, so be ready to walk a bit with your luggage on the narrow souk streets. Also at the hotel itself there is a very high flight of stairs that you must climb with all your suitcases.

Very friendly and helpful host. Good breakfest. Clean. Available roof terrace.
You have to walk ca. 100m from the main road since it is located in the pedestrian area (souk).

The location was excellent, in the center of the tourist area, and my room had a small balcony to look at the bustle going on in the street below. The owner was friendly and the included breakfast was delicious. Using Google translate helped a lot because I speak minimal French and the owner spoke limited English. The place was super clean. At the top of the building was a rooftop patio with chairs and a table so I could be outside away from the shopping hustle. I paid at Dar Lola, it only takes cash but there are numerous ATM's a ahort walk away.
This was not Dar Lola's fault, but for the first three nights there was minimal water so I could not shower nor wash my hair. I think it was a city water issue, but as I dont speak French I am not sure if I understood.

The property truly exceeded my expectation. I highly recommend, especially for solo female travellers!

the property is beautifully decorated with great
aesthetic and a lovely vibe
the water cuts off essentially the entire day, so
you can’t wash your face properly nor take a
shower nor even go to the bathroom

The location is great and the lady owner was super nice. She recommended us places to visit and where to eat local food. She cooked there for herself and she would invite me in her kitchen to try her food every time. She also arranged a taxi for us at 3am, she woke up with us and waited on the street until we got inside the taxi.
Nothing to not like. Highly recommended place.

Wow what an amazing experience. Shallah is a truly one of a kind, incredible host. She made us feel so at home, went above and beyond to accommodate us, and even invited us for a beautiful bbq for Eid. She is an amazing host, a very talented cook (we LOVED it all), and just an all around deeply special person. The location could not have been better and the room and whole place was beautiful and spotless. We feel like we have new friends and a new home to always come back to. Don’t stay anywhere else — Dar Lola and Shallah are the absolute best!!!!!!
Everything was perfect
