DO NOT STAY HERE! The owner canceled the reservation (that we made 2 months ago) at 3:45pm fo a 4pm check-in (which is already on the very late side) leaving our family stranded in the cold on the mountain.
Thankfully VRBO was able to find us a place to sleep that night but do not trust this owner in the least.

Great location and comfortable condo - just off the ski trail at Northstar.

Hi, Due to the extreme storms ("atmospheric rivers") and numerous travel advisories, we were not able to visit the property. Unfortunately, it appears despite the weather issues that was beyond our control, we have no recourse. I have made the property management company and owner aware of the situation. I marked all 3 stars without seeing the property so I can submit this comment. Thanks, Jeff

Pros: awesome location, clean dishware, quiet dishwasher, fairly new stove, excellent heating in living room.
Cons: low heat in bedroom. Awkward lighting throughout. No soap/shampoo in shower. Same liquid soap used for dish-soap bottle, foaming soap bottle and liquid soap bottle. Hairdryer won't work. Microwave turntable won't spin. No coffee filters and coffee grinds. No pillow cases for sofa bed. Some towels with makeup on them. Worried about the number of electrical plugs hooked up behind the TV. Shower head is very low.
Cleaning crew that didn't speak English came to the condo to clean a whole day earlier than our check out date. On our check out date, they came at 10:20am, instead of after the 11am check out time.

Wonderful condo, it was a bit confusing about how to check in on a Sunday when the office for key pick up was closed. It worked out because finally the night before, I noticed the instructions said to pick up keys in the box next to the office door.
also, confusing was the fact that there was no pass in the condo to get into the rec center. I had to call the rec center to find out how to get in.

Upon showing up to check in I was advised our unit was booked. The owner of the rental company was accommodating and luckily had another condo available in a similar area at Northstar, however, it was not a ski in/ski out situation, which was pretty disappointing given the epic snow conditions. Similarly to other reviews about this unit, the one we stayed in was outdated and pretty dusty as it had not been cleaned recently. Overall it was a nice spacious unit with tons of potential. I am hesitant to book through evolve again after finding out our place was not available when it should have been. We were 6 hours from home traveling by car in the snow on New Years weekend with 3 kids. That trip very easily could have been ruined had other arrangements not been available. Evolve has to ensure they’re only working with reputable clients or their reputation will quickly tank. These types of situations are every travelers worst nightmare. (And yes, I did call to confirm our reservation the week of our trip with the actual rental company and was told the keys would be in the box.)

We rented this property. While the listing is accurate, what they didn’t tell us was that there is some sort of rodent or critter infestation. We woke up to find a bag of chips and a bag of popcorn eaten through by some sort of critter. This prompted us to have to throw away all our food for safety. Upon contacting the property manager we received NO response. The company that handles their bookings initially responded quickly to say they would help rectify but since then they haven’t said a word. Until they rectify the situation, I can’t, in good conscience reccomend this property. There has been no word given that they are taking steps to fix this situation. If you rent this place make sure to not leave any food out and be on the lookout for critters in your personal place. Really disappointing.

Poorly managed condo
I hesitated on renting this property due to the poor reviews it had received in the past but I love its location and all other condos in sky view were rented out for the weekend that I wanted so I went for it. I called the management company with one request: to extend out checkout on Saturday until noon. The answer was a categoric no, then I asked to get a parking pass in advance of the check in and that was granted but we did not pick up the pass until 3 pm so it was not really a big thing to do for us. We waited until 4 to check in and to our surprise, we walked into a not cleaned condo. Bath room and kitchen were disgusting, bed sheets and towels were in the floor which was clear indication that the cleaning crew did not show up before our check in time. We contacted the management company and luckily they were responsive and the cleaning crew arrived a couple of hours later, time that we could not relax, we could not unpack or cook dinner and they spent about 30 minutes "cleaning" and left, they tossed full rolls of paper in the trash and one of my tupperwares that I accidentaly left out of the bags when I realized the condo was not cleaned. They did not refill the hand soap and did not leave enough pillow cases. The management company did not reach out to us again to see if the situation was solved. Also they said that the keys to the ski's locker were inside the condo and they were not so we had to store our skis in the car. The poor condo has minimum maintenance, nothing has been renovated at all, it looks like the owners do not want to spend a penny (not even in hand soap) and just squeeze any profits they can get from it. No streaming service, none of the amenities that most of the other condos in the area have. The advertising is missleading, it says well equiped kitchen with spices, yes they have an old spice rack with not even salt or pepper. Very sad stay. You have been warned

Perfect place for skiers!
Could not ask for a better location. Walked down the stairs and a few steps on the snow and we were skiing. The condo was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Perfect for a couple or small family. Will definitely try to stay here again!

Great location but not maintained
Overall my family and I had a great stay because of the conveniency and location of the property. The process to check in and contacting the property management was difficult and was unpleasant to talk too. There were also many cups that had not been washed, with lipstick on the rim, and dried coffee still in the bottom of some. The toilet also would run all night. However, I want to thank you for accommodating my family and I.

Nice property, grouchy property management
Really enjoyed our stay here, it is genuinely ski-in/ski-out, with a chairlift going past the window. Be aware that the property managers will send an email when you reserve this that has a "check-in" time (4:00 pm in our case). This is not the time you can move into the property, but rather the time you can pick up the keys from nearby Truckee.

Perfect location
Can’t beat the location. With two children, it’s convenient to ski back when the little one needs a break from the slope. we had two other friends staying in the same area that weekend so we were able to compare the condos . Our condo was very outdated and could use a bit more cleaning. overall we had a good trip.

Great time
We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would improve is the check in process by giving people a code instead of having to drive 10 minutes away.

No Heat and a Dangerous Property Manager
When we arrived at the property, we discovered the heat was not working. We contacted Martis Valley Vaction Rentals. The representative was not only not able to fix the issue with the heat, but he also came to the condo and stayed without a mask. We spent the weekend without central heat, and we will find out if we get Covid from this inconsiderate and dangerous person over the next few days.
I would appreciate a response from VRBO indicating they will take corrective measures and/or stop working with Martis Valley Vacation Rentals.

Great location, not well stocked
The condo location is amazing being ski in/ ski out. However, it was not well stocked and the management company did NOTHING. We had one roll of toilet paper for three nights, the bathroom was completely out of soap. No coffee filters, we were instructed not to use the gas fireplace, the internet password didn't work, so I couldn't work while up there. The heat is on a timer, so you can't adjust. I called the property management office to ask for the correct password and provisions, and no one called me back. So if you reserve, make sure you come with everything you need - including your own hotspot.

The condo was old and a bit run down
The management company didn’t do a very good job. We were responsible for going to their offices to pick up and drop off the key. They failed to provide parking passes and said on the instructions email that there was off street parking. There wasn’t and we received a warning from northstar that our car was almost towed.
