ABOUT THE REGION
Coffin Bay is situated on the Eyre Peninsula just 30 mins drive from Port Lincoln via the B100 bitumen highway, and on the doorstep of the glorious Coffin Bay National Park. There is lots to do: boating, fishing, fishing charters, swimming, canoeing and other water sports, as well as walking trails and great scenery.
Qantas and Rex Airlines fly to Port Lincoln from Adelaide several times a day. Pre-booked hire cars can be picked up at the airport.
From Adelaide it is an approx 700 km drive via Port Augusta to Coffin Bay. There is however, the Sea SA car ferry, which runs across the Spencer Gulf daily from Wallaroo to Lucky Bay. Check their website for more details.
The wild west coastline of the Eyre Peninsula runs north from Coffin Bay and has a series of sandy beaches, rocky cliffs and headlands with almost nobody there. There are virtually no buildings or settlements along this magnificent coastline until Elliston, about 120 km away.
The Coffin Bay National Park is accessed through the Coffin Bay Township. A relatively small and scenically splendid part of the Park is accessed easily on sealed roads . The remainder of the Park to the west has a diversity of scenery, but can only be reached with 4 wheel drive vehicles.
Port Lincoln is well developed for tourism, with attractions such as swimming with tuna, shark cage diving, fishing or sailing charters, wineries and restaurants. Many Port Lincoln people tow their boats to launch them at Farm Beach, as it is widely renowned for its productive fishing grounds. Farm Beach is only 25kms from Coffin Bay. The Port Lincoln National Park has much of interest, but the Coffin Bay National Park has more. It's probably a biased opinion but hey, that's what we reckon.

We were a group of 70+ males who had flown in a 2 light planes on a pilgrimage to the Oyster Capital. The house suited us well although one bloke put his mattress on the deck (to avoid the snoring), The kitchen was well supplied with basic needs (which suited us) and much appreciated a refund for the purchase of a new kettle. The weather was delightful and the deck was the ideal place to hang out.

Perfect location and great beach shack. Outdoor area was awesome and Jon was very responsive when we arrived at half time of the grand final and panicked when we couldn’t get the TV to work!
Very quiet spot and very close to amenities. The house has everything you could possibly need and more.

"In an industry where hiccups can happen, HOWSTHASERENITEE by Jon and Leanne Sampson stands out as a shining example of a host who values guest satisfaction above all else! I can't thank Jon enough for his kindness. I was blown away by his exceptional customer service! Hois understanding and quick resolution of the date mix-up made it less stressful He handled it with grace and refunded my money promptly. No dramas with Jon! His willingness to go the extra mile was truly heartwarming! Although we didn't get to stay at your amazing place this time, I'm genuinely looking forward to rebooking in the future. Highly recommend Jon and Leanne (HOWSTHASERENITEE) as a host! I have no doubt that future guests are in for an exceptional stay."

We had a lovely week in Coffin Bay. HOWSTHASERENITEE is a classic holiday shack, clean and well equipped for a comfortable stay, in a fantastic location. Unfortunately, the weather prevented us from taking advantage of the lovely outdoor area but hopefully we will make it back again for another relaxing stay when the weather is warmer.

Our goal for the weekend was to have complete rest and relaxation. And thanks to Jon and this beautiful property this was acheived with ease. Everything we needed and more was available. The outdoor space is pure perfection. Whether warm or cold. Thank you so much for having this property available.

Fabulous location and outdoor area

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was perfect for what we wanted. We LOVED the outdoor area and spent a lot of our time out in this area looking at the view and just enjoying some much needed R & R. We loved the fact that all the bedrooms and the lounge room had air-conditioning. This was a lifesaver as we had a big heatwave while we were there. Jon was an excellent host and made contact with us while we were there to make sure everything was ok. We also loved the fact that we could bring our dogs to have a mini vacation with us. We would definitely come back especially once the fencing is up which would make it easier having our dogs there and not having to keep them on their leads while outside.
4.9
Absolutely loved our stay. 3 bedrooms were big enough to fit us all and great outdoor area to enjoy during the day and evening. If you’re lucky you get to see kangaroos at night.
The surroundings are beautiful and there is plenty to see and do, weather it is going on car trips, walking or riding your bike. National park just around the corner, no dogs allowed ofcourse! Great beaches close to the house for collecting pippies. Bring kayaks/paddle boards, you can go straight in the water close to home. We really enjoyed ourselves and settled in quickly, we didn’t want to leave and would love to come back in the near future!!!!
4.9
One of our best holidays. The place has everything we needed.
