Magical

The beautiful location on top of the hill , gorgeous garden . The house had all the amenities one needs and much more ! Great communication with the owner who was very helpful and kind, Highly recommended!!!

Beautiful setting, overpriced for what you get.

The house is in a beautiful natural setting. It was spacious, and had spacious bathrooms. It was wonderful to have a dryer for our laundry as we were here during a very humid stretch of weather. Regine helped us to arrange a wonderful boat tour (most boats would only go to Corvo, but we were more interested in seeing the coast of Flores), and she brought us more dishwasher and laundry tabs when we asked. Beds were comfortable.

This is a challenging location to keep clean because of the natural setting and because it was so hot we needed to keep doors and windows open. A local cat that previous guests had clearly been feeding and letting in the house was always having to be run off. The main sitting area could be better arranged for more than two people to sit comfortably and enjoy the view. The kitchen design was frustrating: there isn't really any decent counter space to prep cooking, and what space there was was covered by a vinyl fabric that didn't clean easily because of its texture. The sink is small and water pools up all around it in a "draining" area that isn't engineered correctly. Only six forks, so hand washing required between meals. Overall, it was an okay place but definitely overpriced.

Would definitely recommend for your next stay on Flores.

Wonderful location up on the eastern side of Flores and just ten minutes from the airport by car. Amazing views from the villa and the nearby viewpoint called Parque de Merendas da Caveira. Easy access to small roads and paths if you like walking. A short drive will take you directly to the breathtaking Reserva Florestal Natural do Morro Alto e Pico da Se. The villa itself is very comfortable and bright. Plenty of space to settle in and relax. The garden is beautiful and fragrant. Very quiet location and lots of clean sea air! Great sunrises. Régine was an extremely helpful and friendly host. Great memories!

The village of Caveira is picturesque, but it lacks any shops. Make sure you stock-up before leaving Santa Cruz das Flores. Régine kindly went shopping for some essentials before we arrived, which was greatly appreciated. Taxi rides are expensive (15 euros for just over 5 miles from the airport to the villa), car rentals are roughly double the price you'd expect to pay elsewhere. We were aware of this before we travelled. Reality is that visiting a small quiet island means one should not expect too much in terms of services and amenities. It didn't stop us thoroughly enjoying our trip but a bit of forward planning is necessary before landing at the airport. Book your taxi in advance as there may be none waiting at the taxi rank, and make sure you communicate with your driver as flights to and from the island can be subject to last minute changes, which could disrupt your pick-up (taxi drivers are heavily booked and may need to move on to another appointment if you're late). The lovely and spatious house is on a great location, with oceanview and a lovely garden. It is very quiet, and the owner is also very friendly. Not too far from Santa Cruz. Too bad we had to leave...

Perfection!

The property is conveniently located next to Santa Cruz das Flores (less than a 10-min drive to the city), it has stunning views of the sea and of Santa Cruz das Flores, and it faces the rising sun. You can watch beautiful sunrises from the house. In my opinion, the house is placed in the best area of the island in terms of the weather (this is the sunniest part of the island) and as to the proximity to supermarkets/restaurants, etc. The house itself is very spacious, with plenty of natural light, and gorgeous views of the garden and sea. It is equipped with all the appliances to cook. We cooked our breakfasts and prepared some meals, and it was great, we felt we were at home. We want to come back to Flores in the future and we want to stay again in Villa Ferreirinha. The host is also really nice and helpful!

Nice house with great views, the kitchen is good and well equiped, also with a nice and spacious living room. The room was comfortable.

Dream house on fantastic ocean view location

We loved everything. Our host was very professional and punctual. The house was gorgeous and quiet enough for big family or only two of us. Villa is located right above the ocean and by amazing unforgettable views. Sunrise and sunset could be seen from our windows. The layout of the place was very nice. Extremely clean and tastefully decorated. It was a huge bonus to have all appliances - like at own home ! The host offers everything you could ever need for a comfortable, wonderful stay. Thank you for hosting us!

We enjoyed a peaceful and comfortable stay at Regine’s house and would 100% return !

Awesome views for the bow windows (especially at sunrise), calm neighborhood, lots of space and storage, pretty garden, nice design. Nice and helpful host.

The house is a bit removed from city center so be aware you’ll need a car or taxi to reach it. A/C and mosquito nets in the bedrooms could be a plus. Maybe coffee capsules and laundry detergent.

An enchanted place in an enchanted island.

Everything was amazing. An amazing view from a very comfortable and luxurious house, extremely well equipped and cleaned. Very comfortable bed. Beautiful garden and patio with breathtaking view. Régine is a careful host. Highly recommended.

Ok!

The French host is nice and welcoming, she offered us a lift to a nearby village. The living room has a very nice view of the garden and the Atlantic.

Some of the kitchen equipment was dirty. There were no basics for cooking provided. The lady offers some canned food and sauces (all of which you have to pay for) even though they’re out of date... The bed we slept in was extremely uncomfortable, falling inside under us. There were a lot of disgusting fat flies flying around and other insects.

Excellent !

We loved everything! The best location and the house on Flores. We hiked a lot around the island, so we know for sure. Apart from the amazing view and beautiful garden the villa itself is absolutely wonderful. Every single detail is thought out, we just couldn’t expect more.. A lot of space, fire place, comfortable beds, huge bathroom, all the kitchen appliances. Regine is such an amazing and friendly host. Thank you for everything! If you are lucky to see this villa available for your dates, book immediately!
