About this apartment rental
Our Sea Lodge is located directly on the beach along the North Side of Grand Cayman in beautiful Cayman Kai, a secluded, tranquil, friendly, and safe area.
It is beachfront property with a beautiful sea view that goes from turquoise to deep sapphire. A coral reef 200 yards out protects our beach and provides great snorkeling, whether you are a beginner or an avid snorkeler. Swimming is great in the sparkling, crystal-clear water. Our pristine beach has beautiful sand and enticing palms. Take a walk, relax in the wonderful sun, or build great sand castles. It is never crowded, letting you relax in privacy. You'll get that peaceful and secluded island feeling.
Attractively furnished, two bedroom unit with king beds in each bedroom. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and faces the sea. Our Sea Lodge sleeps 4, but 2 air mattresses with pumps are provided if needed for children or teens. They are also great for sleeping out under the stars on the screened seaside porch.
There is a fully-equipped, modern kitchen and an outdoor Weber grill, Netflix, DVD player with movies (no cable TV), WIFI internet connection, and pay as you go cell phone for use anywhere.
Bedrooms have Air Conditioning, but it's not often needed with the nice tropical breezes that bring cool air off of the ocean. Wonderful louvered doors in each bedroom and in the living room open to the seaside porch. Listen to the lapping waves and enjoy the ocean air as you relax with your favorite book.
The seaside porch is great for eating out under the stars or watching the moon rise over the water. Stargaze and look for satellites high in the sky, or find constellations, as the skies are so clear. In the morning, just sit back with your coffee, relax, and look out at the turquoise blue Caribbean Sea.

Had a great stay at SeaRendipity. The location can't be beat. The property has a large sandy beach and snorkeling from the shore was great!
It's an older complex, but this unit has added A/C units in the bedrooms. This was truly needed and appreciated in July! Units are set up to let the almost always present wind come in, which helps in the living area.
Unit had everything you could need for cooking and also a lot of beach towels and toys. Water pressure in the shower was great.
This unit is the closest in a line to the beach. Direct sea views from the living areas and the amazing screened in back patio. This area was fantastic. Large enough for a 6 person dining table and 4 loungers. Screened on sides and top! Layed out one night and watched the stars from the patio.
Great stay that I hope to repeat. Soft sand, tropical breezes, beautiful view and easy snorkeling!

This place is amazing! The views are spectacular, it is quiet and well maintained, landscaping very nicely kept. The best part of all was the amazing ocean breeze that came through the entire condo, it was lovely!

We had a really great time. It was a perfect spot for relaxing and watching the ocean.

We’ve stayed in another unit here previously and love the location. Snorkeling out front to the reef is always amazing and you are very close to Rum Point and Kaibo. We prefer the quieter side of the island. The unit does get hot in the main areas, but we left the AC on low in the bedrooms with the doors closed so we could cool down between outdoor activities or cooking. We did already know this about these condos so it was expected. Plenty of kitchen needs were available to us, actually had soap for the washer and dryer which was great. Would absolutely stay here again. 100% as expected.

If you are looking for a place with pure relaxation, you found it in this hidden gem. From the road, it doesn’t look like much but once you get inside, you find efficiency, a full kitchen, very comfortable bedrooms, and a screened in porch to die for. The owners have done a great job of supplying the things you need for a comfortable stay, they have even created a book of all the restaurants on the island with ratings, price ranges and menus.
This unit is right on the corner only 40 feet from the beach. On this side of the island, a lot of the beaches are rocky, but in front of this group of condos it’s pure white sand with cabanas to lounge under during the day. We found ourselves waking each morning to sit out on the screened in porch to watch the waves and soak up some sun while drinking our morning tea.
During the day, I never saw more than four or five people out on the beach so it’s very secluded. The snorkeling in front of the condo is pretty good, there are other places that might be better but it’s a drive to get to them.
The condo is very close to Rum Point where there’s a great little bar and restaurant, and if you need a beach with lots of people, that the place. You can walk to it from the condo along the beach in about 15 minutes or it’s a three minute drive in your car. There’s a great little grocery that carries the essentials only a five minute drive away but if you need a large grocery store, it’s a 30 minute drive.
All in all, this was a great find.

We enjoyed our stay at Searendipity, but probably will not return.
First of all, there are very few services or supplies on the North Side. There is one gas station, which is often out of gas. There is one, small grocery store that is very expensive and no convenience stores. It takes 45-60 minutes to get to George Town and there is a LOT of traffic.
Two other big downsides are the beach, which is rocky and full of sea grass, and the fact that there is no central air. There are individual ACs in each bedroom, but when it's in the mid-80s and very humid it's not comfortable to be in the living area.
We had a crew with an endloader and leaf blowers working on the beach and grounds, often right next to our unit, with workers shouting loudly to each other in Spanish for 3 straight days. That was not pleasant.
Finally, the unit is old and rundown. The furniture inside and out has seen better days. The shutters on the windows and doors didn’t work well. The stove is ancient and the burners so warped it was difficult to cook anything. The bathrooms are tiny.
This place is in a truly beautiful location on the beach and affordable. It is quiet because it's remote. But the downsides would prevent us from returning.

Loved this location. Snorkeling from shore and walking distance to Rum Point the Sea Lodge had plenty of room for two couples to share. Will come again

We loved our stay here! The house is right on the beach, and we were able to walk out to see the sunrise every day. We had the beach to ourselves, and it was a nice, quiet and relaxing stay. The screened porch was a great place to enjoy dinner and relax in the evenings with the ocean breeze. The house had everything we needed, and we would recommend a stay if you're looking for a no frills place with all the basics in a quiet location just steps from the beach.

Nice place in a beautiful spot. The issues we had surrounded the tiny tv with no channels and it not pulling up Netflix. We called the property manager and she was not helpful. We called the owner and he tried to help but that didn’t work either. The AC in one of the rooms also did not work very well
8.0 / 10.0
The unit had amazing views of the beach and had a great breeze. It was very quiet and we didn’t see many people on the beach. We loved using the grill outside and the screened in porches! The washer and dryer was also extremely helpful as were the water sprayers to help clean sand off before entering!
The beach did have sea grass washed up on shore. Luckily it didn’t smell bad. The units on the left and right had their sea grass raked up and a sea turtle did come up to the cleaned side of the beach but decided not to lay her eggs there. A cool site to see.
There is a lot of iron shore so you do need to wear water shoes or be very careful. We also saw sea urchins in the sea grass close to shore.
The reef is about 200 yards out so having flippers would be very helpful. We snorkeled out there a few times and saw a lot of great marine life. Pretty much anywhere we snorkeled on the island flippers would make it easier.
The days that the wind was too strong we left to explore the rest of the island.
We cooked almost all of our meals and it did get hot in the unit when we cooked. So we used the fan provided when we cooked and it helped a lot.
The rooms don’t seal completely bc of the open air design, so even with the mini split we had to keep a fan blowing on us.
We loved our experience and this quiet side of the island!
Hosts were easy to communicate with and quick to respond.

If you’re expecting a house on the beach, this is not it, this is a beach house. This was a great little beach house, but you need to know what you want to fully appreciate it. I was expecting AC in the rooms, which it has. But I didn’t realize all the doors have slats, so there is no insulation. The rooms get cooler than the rest of the house, but still warm all the time. The living room area was unbearably hot while the sun was out, even with the cross breeze. The screened porches were great, the location on the beach was great. The beach is great if you plan on just laying out on the beach, you can’t play in the water, too much seaweed. If you get pass the seaweed, there’s one of the best snorkeling spots that we found on the island. Just have to get pass all the seaweed. Rum Point is under construction, so the location was a little disappointing. Overall it was everything it was advertised to be, I just didn’t realize how much coming back to a cool room would mean to me. We left 2 days early to book a stay in a hotel for the last couple days we stayed there. If I had to do it again, I would have shorten our stay, but I would have still booked this beach house. It was a great experience

We had a great time.
The location is perfect for avoiding crowds.
The beach is a little rocky, but we didn't need our water shoes and just ... walked carefully and went in with fins. There were a few pairs of spare fins at the place, but we brought all our own snorkeling gear. The snorkeling right outside was pretty good.
The condo had pretty much everything we needed. The ice cube trays came in really handy.
We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch. The mosquitos can get really bad, especially when it gets dark.
We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay. Barbara was kind to help us with one small issue we had and was very prompt. House was clean and had everything you need. It’s your home away from home. I would recommend staying in condo 23 and if/when I come again I will also stay again! Thanks for the wonderful home and we are sad to have to leave.

Expect tranquil sea breezes, comfortable beds, all the usual amenities (washer/dryer!) attentive owners/managers and privacy when staying at the Sea Lodges and especially SeaRendipity unit 23. We enjoyed snorkeling each day right out front on our private beach and were thrilled to see several sting rays, groups of squid and numerous fish 🐠🐟 and coral gardens each time we were out. The Sea Lodges are absolutely the perfect location on the north shore offering Star Fish Point, Bio Bay, Kaibo Beach for coffee, lunch and dinner.
Food-
Unfortunately, the entire Rum Point area is under a massive construction project (which was not disclosed to us) which reduced the ability to enjoy lazy afternoons, lunches and dinners at Rum Point. I’m sure it will be wonderful when completed as we saw an amphitheater planned. There was a small walk up bar open and a food truck but port-a-John’s for restroom facilities :( also the mosquitoes were awful there and most places after dark. We were sorry to miss the gift shop which is very good but again closed at Rum Point. Also the restaurant for dinner was closed at RP so we had to adjust to eating at Kaibo vs Over the Edge or more local fare such as The Caboose which was a new find and very good (Grouper Sandwich was amazing!)
We ate and ordered coffee and breakfast at Kaibo Beach several times which was always good.
We also drove to Tukka, Eagle Rays (Lion Fish tacos) David’s, The Italian Kitchen which were all very good!

I am hesitant to give this place a good review because I don’t want it to be booked when we want it:)
We have been to Cayman atleast 25 times. My parents have had a place on 7 mile beach since the early 80’s. The area has become so commercial and populated that we wanted to try something new. Something that prompted peace.
This place was perfection. RIGHT on the beach. Quiet. Clean. There was awesome snorkeling right infront of the condo. Rum Point and starfish beach were less a 2 minute drive if we just wanted to swim at a sandy beach. Our kids never tired of the snorkeling in either place. We did a stingray city tour with Red Sail. Because it left from rim point it was much less crowded than when you take off from the marina.
The condo itself had everything you could imagine. I brought towels, snorkeling gear sunblock shampoo all. The. Things… we needed none of it. Kitchen was well equipped.
It was hands down the best time we’ve ever had in Cayman. We all left feeling rested and happy. My kids (12,11,8 and 7) also agreed best time they’ve had.
The only downside is that we couldn’t stay longer. We cannot wait to come back.
Thank you for such a great vacation:)

We enjoyed the screened patio, peacefulness and panoramic view. The owner responded quickly to concerns regarding television. We appreciated detailed local information supplied by the owner. Unfortunately, one the wives experienced a slight stroke and had to leave early. Hospital care on the island was very good. Thank you for the good part of out trip.

The first thing you will notice about this unit is how clean it is and it only gets better from there.
Location is everything and it doesn’t get any better than this unit. We were amazed that we were able to sit in the covered lanai and be 50 steps away from the beautiful ocean.
We were fortunate that all the other units except one were empty so we had a private beach. All of our meals we consumed on the lanai. The breeze was magnificent when we opened all the doors.
The first four days we would have a Tropical shower mid morning for about ten minutes, after that, gorgeous weather. We weren’t sure how not having cable tv was going to be but we spent so much time outside we really didn’t notice. College football season kicked off on Saturday so we simply streamed the games to our iPad.
The property manager was great. We had only a small issue with one of the A/C units. Not having central A/C was not that big of a deal except on days when the wind was absent like our last two days, that’s when we couldn’t sit in the living area of the unit and would have to remain in the bedroom or out in the water. Rum point is currently non existent so if your coming for that, don’t. If you want to get off the grid for a bit and just relax, the north side of the island is where you want to be.
Fosters grocery is good but Hurley’s had a better selection. Chisholm’s is a small convenient store about 8 minutes away. It was a life saver not having to make the 30 minute drive into town.
We highly recommend this unit.

Stayed here with my wife and three teenagers - we all loved it. Right on the beach, quiet, private - really nice feel to the place. We stayed at a more up-scale condo with a pool, etc. for our second week, and we all liked this place better.

Peaceful getaway
The location and amenities of this rental were perfect. Being able to walk right out onto the beach from our screened in patio was fantastic. The condo location made it easy to see the sights of east side of the island. It is also close to Starfish Point so we could easily go there and explore on our own without spending money to book a tour. We were also able to drive to the west end one day to experience some of the things available there while being able to return to the peaceful bliss of the north side. We only experienced 1 small issue when we arrived with one of the bedroom AC units but it was resolved quickly. We soon discovered, however, that we rarely needed to use the AC as the layout of the condo allowed the cool ocean breezes to give us plenty of relief from the heat. If given the opportunity to return to Grand Cayman I would love to stay here again.

Paradise!
We absolutely loved SeaRendipity! It was the perfect place for my family to stay. We felt like we were on a secluded island as we lucked out and don’t think there were many others staying in the nearby condos. It is an absolute dream to be able to wake up and see the sunrise right outside your doors! I do wish I would’ve noticed the door holder things to prop them open earlier in our stay. Take it from me and look for those so you can have your doors open to the sea when you’re inside. The house is perfectly clean and very comfortable. My only suggestion is to make sure you bring shampoo as there was none provided. There was body wash. Everything is available in the kitchen— even a blender for tropical smoothies! We lived on the island for two years in 2007-2009 and although most of the activities we did required quite a bit of driving, it’s worth it to us to stay up on the quiet Rum Point side that has that heavenly island feel. Make sure to check if Rum Point is open when you plan your trip as you might be disappointed like we were. Apparently they closed due to Covid and are planning to revamp the place. It turned out to be just fine because we still went and explorer it and plan to come back. If you’re looking for the perfect photo spot (other than right outside the doors- front and back of the condo!) find the Northside Post Office. We’ve now made that our Christmas Card photo spot for two years. Tukka and Kaibo were great nearby restaurants and also, try Herman’s Fish Fry and Big Tree BBQ on East End. Thank you, Ed, for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back in a couple of years!

Super awesome mini break
We had an AMAZING time. We struggled a bit when we first arrived on the island getting phones/ GPS to work which caused a bit of temporary stress, but when we got sorted and arrived all our stress melted away. Definitely stop at Foster's on the way and grab some supplies as recommended in the notes the owner will send, and read closely, it's useful information. The property was exactly as represented on the site. My husband even commented on how clean it was. We felt like we were the only ones there. Most of our time spent snorkeling out front, we never saw a single soul! It is definitely a much more laid back alternative to Seven Mile beach. Starfish point is right up the road and we enjoyed the local eateries and made good use of the well appointed kitchen. The wifi is terrible and the Roku never worked but it forced us to unplug and relax and just enjoy the surroundings. We acclimated quickly to the beach breeze and only used the A/C when sleeping. The property itself is a little dated but charming and functional and couldn't be a better location! If we come back, we will definitely book here again!

Quite beach front and snorkeler's paradise!
If you want to get away but not too far away from restaurants and a convince store stay here. With the reef an easy swim out that takes about 10 mins you can drift north with the current all the way to rum point and walk back. Amazing reef with the waves breaking at it so the water is relatively calm on the inside of the reef. At the house we had everything to cook breakfast, make quick sandwiches for lunch and grilled cheese burgers one night. Everything you need for a get Cayman get away!

This was our fourth time staying at the Sea Lodges, and once again we were incredibly happy with the whole experience. Ed, the owner, was very responsive, which is always appreciated! SeaRendipity was clean, comfortable and welcoming. We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you for sharing!

Great location!
We spent two weeks here with another couple and SeaRendipity was a perfect location for us. The view of the ocean from nearly every room in the condo was awesome. My favorite room was the lanai where we spent mornings watching the sunrise over coffee and the evenings, with a cocktail in hand, enjoying the colorful sky at sunset. The closeness to Rum Point was nice for seeing the actual setting of the sun into the ocean. This condo is not fancy but had everything we needed including a washing machine, snorkel gear, barbecue grill and a blender. There is also A/C and a TV but we didn’t need either. The owner was very responsive as well. We had a plumbing issue when we arrived but it was handled quickly by the property manager (she is super by the way) who contacted a plumber to solve the problem. We were there during the recent earthquake off the coast of Jamaica and the owner reached out to us immediately to be sure all was well with us. Luckily, other than some scary shaking, there was no serious damage on the island. There are several good restaurants within a short drive. Over the Edge, Tukka and Caboose were our favorites. The snorkeling right in our backyard was beautiful. We also enjoyed the beach and snorkeling at St. Moritz. There is lots to do within a short drive but this location is so beautiful, peaceful and relaxing that you may not want to go anywhere! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it.

Great place
We've stayed in places all over the island and we have to say that this is our favorite. The condo was as described and had everything we needed. The beach was wonderful and restful. The snorkeling was great, we saw sting rays, colorful fish among the coral and even a nurse shark! When we return to the island we will stay here again.

We loved this place
Only issues were we had no house key (it’s a safe island) and one of the bathrooms had a sink and shower that didn’t drain so we used the other.
Snorkeling was tremendous as was the closeness to run point. We didn’t need to bring our stuff, this place has masks, flippers, life jackets, snorkels, sand toys....FANTASTIC!
You have everything you need and can get food/coffee at Chisolms if you don’t want to eat out every night.
Beds are king side, there is AC if you need it but ocean breeze is better, games and books too. Cleaning lady was great!
Thank you! The Mahon’s!

Absolutely perfect!
My wife and I, along with my wife's sister and her husband, rented this SeaRendipity for six nights in July for my wife's birthday trip. I am not quite sure when these units were built, but they have a throwback feel of the mid-60's or early 70's -- although they have been updated. I liked the vibe.
Location: approximately 45 minutes from the airport without traffic, on the quiet side of the island. Unit is directly on the beach, with nothing but a sidewalk between you and the sand. While it is on the north side, the back/beach side of the unit actually faces due east -- perfect for that morning cup of coffee while watching the sun come up. And perfect to catch the prevailing winds. You actually feel you are on an island on the North Side. Compared to George Town, where it can just feel like you are at the beach. (if that makes any sense)
Beach: One of the few areas of sandy beach entry on the north side. Wide, white-sand beach. No fighting iron-shore entry to get in the water. Beautiful snorkeling directly in front of the unit, approximately 100 yards off shore. Seas can get a little rough, but very doable for most swimmers. We were able to drift with the current down to Rum Point in about 2 hours, then walk back to the unit - after a few beverages at the Wreck Bar, of course.
Unit: Two mirror-image bedrooms with their own bathrooms makes for a great space for two couples. Only the bedrooms have a/c, so in the summer months it can be a bit on the warm side in the middle room. Open up the doors on either side of the unit and the breeze blows right through. Unfortunately, in July, it only gets so cool. In the cooler months, the middle room would be fine for a third couple or some kiddos. In July, it may just be a bit too hot, even with the sea breeze.
Provisions: Small kitchen came with plenty of dishes, cups, mugs, cooking utensils, a toaster, microwave, coffee maker and blender.
Connectivity: Wifi is a shared router on the other side of the units. As SeaRendipity is the last unit, it was often necessary to go out on the back porch to get signal. And because it was a shared router, it could get slow, especially in the evening, when more people are using it. But, I had enough signal to get and receive emails, so I was good.
Communication: If I could give more than five stars, I would. All responses were nearly immediate and were very helpful.
Bonus: Had a beach visit from a large sea turtle one evening. Absolutely beautiful!

Awesome stay at SeaRendipity
I have stayed at another condo on this property and it was nice but I think SeaRendipity is the best condo on the property. Make sure if you stay here to head out to your right into the water. You will find the most beautiful coral gardens on the island I think. It is like snorkeling in your own private aquarium. I have no complaints at all. Thanks

Awesome!
Thank you for sharing your seaside beach cottage!
We took another couple with us and was impressed with the privacy.
We had everything we needed and the only thing I can say to others
is to grab your "drinks" in Georgetown at a liquor store before heading
to the other side of the island to keep the cost down. :)
