Guests are sure to enjoy this fully furnished, lakeside cabin built from the Poplar and Wormy Maple trees that once stood in its place. This 1 bedroom/2 bath mountain cabin features one private bedroom with a queen-sized bed, while the remaining beds (1 full-sized bed, 3 single beds) are located in the loft spaces. There is also a double sleeper sofa in the stunning living room, which is also furnished with a recliner and mounted television(smart tv) over the monumental stone framed wood-burning fireplace. There are 2 double size swinging beds on the 2nd story exterior porch, perfect taking in a relaxing sunset or an afternoon nap. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric stove, microwave, Keurig coffee maker (pods not included) basic cooking utensils, griddle and a full size refrigerator. If that grilled-over-the-campfire flavor is what you crave, a classic charcoal weber grill awaits out back, just remember to bring your favorite briquettes with you!
Unwind at the end of the day with a soothing soak under the stars in the jacuzzi on the back deck, or a tell stories and share laughs around the fire pit in the back yard.
The property is just minutes away from the heart of Mentone where many wonderful attractions can be experienced. Whether in town, hiking trails around DeSoto Falls, or back at the cabin, guests of Kowiliga will certainly forge lasting memories of their vacation on Lookout Mountain.

We loved the cabin and all it had to offer. Host was very easy to communicate with, loved the quietness of the area where the cabin was located!

Great cabin, plenty of room for 4 adults, 4 Harley’s, ate at The Wildflower Friday night, wonderful place and great service! Saturday we took off on the Harley’s explored many areas arrived back to cabin late that evening relaxed in the hot tub! Great weekend getaway❤️

The cabin was cozy and clean. You do have quite a few neighbors around, however this cabin probably had the most privacy. There is plenty of space for parking. There is a lake for fishing and you have to walk on the side yard of the cabin located in front of you to get to it. It's a shared lake with multiple cabins located around the lake. The cabin is in a great location to access Fort Payne, and Chattanooga. The larger bedroom is downstairs and the others are up a flight of steep upstairs. There is no privacy with the beds up stairs, that rooms are all open. The downstairs bedroom is small but comfortable. There seems to be a issue with the plumbing when you flush the toilet or take a shower. It makes a loud noise. My family and I would laugh every time someone flushed the toilet because it sounded like a steamboat for a few seconds. Perhaps the owners should take a look at this issue. The back door ramp looks newly built but the wooden deck around the hot tub is super slippery when wet due to mildew. Overall the property and cabin are great. Perfect little vacation for a small family.

I came in to see my granddaughters first beauty pageant and we enjoyed our stay together here it’s a beautiful place and everything was fabulous!!! Thank you for letting us stay and I hope to be able to stay here again on future visits

Unique and fun cabin layout. Perfect combo of rustic, antique and classic southern decor. Clean and comfortable. We had everything that we needed for a relaxing weekend. Stayed cozy by the fire and enjoyed the hot tub. Very nice!

The rustic and friendly cabin is the picturesque vibe one expects while staying in Mentone. We loved the jacuzzi, bed swing upstairs and the space(3 stories). It was nice to be within a few minutes to downtown Mentone, DeSota Falls, the park for trails, and even the Dollar General and Dollar Tree. The only closed off bedroom is the master, which was a bit of an adjustment, but there is plenty of space for bedding down. I would recommend this vrbo. Thank you!

We had a great time at this wonderful cabin in Mentone. There is a pond for boating and fishing, great local restaurants nearby, and quick access to the Desoto State Park. The cabin is located in a very quiet and peaceful area. The town of Fort Payne is not too far away for more activities, shopping and museums. We look forward to our next visit!

Everything was awesome! Enjoyed our morning walks, kids loved fishing the pond, playing corn hole, making s’more’s at the fire pit and the hot tub. Numerous hiking trails and zip lining right around the corner, which is why we chose the area. Manager of the property was amazing and Happy Birthday again!

Beuatiful lake front view, my grandson fiahed with bread and caught big fish, the waterfalls were gorgeous and peaceful, my elderly mother set on the front porch and rocked for hours, the kids slept in the swing beds and loved it and on our last night a bear pulled the garbage can half way across the yard, we seen him, he was a big bear, perfect end to a vacation

The cabin was perfect for our family of 4 and had everything we needed for a great week after Christmas, including a Christmas tree! There were lots of great trails to hike and horseback riding nearby. We enjoyed our time in the mountains!

This cabin had small rooms which were stuffed with over sized furniture. But that was ok as we spent time outside and using the nice fire pit . Also, if you are older or have very young kids the stairs are steep and sleeping quarters are spread over 3 levels. The cabin is located in a beautiful area - a hidden gem.

Enjoyed fishing in the lake on the bank and with the canoe’s . Hot tub was very nice after the sun went down.
We were excited to have time around the fire pit. After many attempts got a nice fire going just in time for another downpour which left us all scurrying to the back covered porch area. The close lightning after that ran us inside… hearing the rain on the metal roof was nice! It rained off and on during our stay but we still had a great time!! We would love to come stay again!! Very peaceful if you are looking for a getaway for family !! Everything was very nice in the cabin and the swinging bed was a hit. Several of us took naps on it!during our stay!!

The deck was very slippery when getting in and out of hot tub! Several of us fell and my granddaughter but her foot!bigger grill was had been nicer! We have stayed at a lot of Vrbo’s and they had a little gift basket waiting with all kinds of snacks and a bottle of wine! There were no mixing bowls! Little things mean a lot! Also huge hornet nest out back couldn’t let the kids run around!

Great place to relax.....
The house was very clean and just as listed. As other reviewers have noted, the adjacent house is pretty close and the property is not as secluded as the pictures appear to show. Mentone is a VERY small and sleepy town so its a great place for relaxation. On our 3rd day the hot tub started to get low on chlorine but the message to the owner was answered within minutes and within a couple of hours the issue was corrected. I was very happy with the responsiveness of the host and that we were able to continue to use the hot tub once the heat of the day was gone. I would definitely recommend this cabin for a relaxing getaway up in the beautiful mountains of NE Alabama. Thanks for having us!
