Love this location!

I thought the location was great! I loved having access to the public docks right across the street. This made for easy access to the lake at any time of day. The view from the deck is wonderful, as can be seen in the pictures. Perfect sized cabin for my family of 5.

Ask your cleaning crew about cleaning delay. I can't send you pictures of that. Your cleaning crew in charge told me not to call you because they will be in trouble. Ask them. Check your TV in both bedrooms. They don't work. Check your front windows. They don't lock. I can't send you pictures because I didn't take any. Called you all more than 6 times including your manager. Keep on saying partial refund is being processed every time I call. Pretty bad experience with this cabin rental. You all keep on saying we will call back and nobody ever call me back. Can you please resolve this.

The location of this home is amazing! It is right across the street from the lake and has a great deck from which you can enjoy the view. However, the inside of the home is badly in need of repair and a deep cleaning. I have notified Vacasa about my concerns and am hopeful that they will make the essential improvements (Ex: the ground floor windows couldn't be locked) and am hopeful that they will make the experience better for others.

Nice little cabin overlooking Donner lake. Was very convenient for fishing, having a dock right infront of the cabin. Cabin was very relaxing with a deck in the front.

Great view. Great Location. Cozy interior.

The cabin is very cute and it is in a beautiful lakeside setting. The place would be great and the high nightly rate would be better justified if the following simple issues were addressed:
There is no door mat/shoe rack so snow and water make entryway a mess. The kitchen needs a mixing bowl, dish and hand towels and decent frying pans. Dishes and pots are generally worn, outdated or mismatched. Decent wine glass set would be nice. The toaster knob and fridge water dispenser are broken and there was not enough dish washer detergent to turn dishwasher on upon departure. The upstairs table lamp was broken (the caretaker was able to fix this by swapping it for one of the downstairs floorlamps.). The main TV had 3 remotes but no instructions: we got it on but were never able to adjust volume to watch anything. Nice little extras would be a pen, paper and some games or puzzles. Windows and door are quite drafty but the heating fireplace and standalone heaters kept the cabin warm. Parking spot would benefit from a sign. All very easy and inexpensive fixes to do the nice cabin justice.

This cabin is cute and is located in a beautiful lakeside setting. It could be great if the owners made small investment in functionality: better kitchen equipment (basic items like dish and hand towels and mixing bowls were missing, frying pans were worn, toaster was broken) and a floor mat/rack for snowy shoes by the front door. There were no instructions and the main TV with 3 remotes was difficult to operate: we were unable to adjust its volume so couldn't really use it. There were few other small issues already communicated to the rental agency.

Enjoyed our short stay over a weekend, super cute and close to Truckee with lake access! Would go back, it’s where I got engaged and I wouldn’t have changed that!

Rustic cabin, great location across the street from Donner Lake with views from the front deck. Close to the beach and town. Loved this part of the cabin.
Management company versus an individual owner so response time is slow or nonexistent. We had a problem with the TV (Air quality poor due to MOSQUITO FIRE with recommendations to stay inside) and sent a message to management. Their response must have been for another property as it did not apply. We responded back immediately, and the following morning, and after 24 hours of no response we called and were told they could possibly send someone out the next day (the day of our check out). There are three remotes with none of them matching the TV brand and no operating instructions to be found.
No A/C and there is a heat wave so we needed to open the windows but there are no screens (We read this complaint from a former occupant with management stating they would resolve yet it has not been addressed). Open the windows and you get the bugs or leave them closed and an uncomfortable night of heat.
No heat wave and no MOSQUITO FIRE and we would have been fine. But the lack of response from management is poor business and most unlikely we will rent one of their managed properties again.
Not impressed with VACASA.

Wonderful location for access to all Donner Lake has to offer. Property could use quite a bit of TLC!

This cabin is perfect for a group and loved that it was pet friendly. Kitchen and a few other areas of home have been updated since the images were taken for the listing. My one complaint would be that only two windows in the entire cabin have screens, so we couldn’t have fresh cool air in the bedrooms at night or cool down the house much after a warm day (we closed the non-screened windows when the bugs came out in the evenings). It made sleeping rather hot and uncomfortable even with fans. Hopefully screens are on the to do list.

Perfect location right on the lake. Beautiful views for meals out on the deck! Small but charming inside and loved that we could bring our dogs. Lovely weekend!

This cabin is a great location on the waterfront. Our dog loved laying on the deck in the sun. The cabin is simple and had plenty of room for our family of five. The carpets could use a good cleaning, but this is expected with a cabin that accepts pets!

It was supposed to be a dream cabin, unfortunately it fell short of that. The garbage cans were full and the bathrooms didn’t have enough towels. But, the deck was wonderful, with a beautiful view of the lake. I would book another vacation here.
4.1
Pros: Gorgeous view; across the street from a dock; close to a family friendly beach/ amazing ice cream shop; and generally a very relaxing spot.
Cons: We walked in and there was still some old decor from a party thrown by the last guests. We also found a little glass shard on the ground, which is generally not cool, but more uncool since we have a toddler. The home was clean outside of those two things. The toaster, remote (volume controls), and umbrella on the patio were broken.
The property managers are very slow to get back to you.

Our trip to Yellowstone was cancelled because my son broke his ankle. We snagged this cabin last minute and I can’t believe it was available. We have two teenagers and there was plenty of room. It was very clean and so cute. The location is amazing. Right across the road from several public docks. We were able to have our own dock all three days! I would definitely stay at this cabin again.

The location was fantastic and there was plenty of room for my whole family, including our dog. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck just talking and enjoying the view.

The the cabin was amazing! It was the perfect size and the best location! Everything you needed for cooking was there except for a few spices but we brought ours just in case, also the knives were dull but we also brought ours just in case. Plus there are stores super close by. There was enough space for the 4 of us plus our 2 dogs. Internet and tv worked great. The dock I from of us was perfect to walk across the street and do some fishing.
A few things
You can’t put trash outside because of the animals and there was no instructions on where to put it so we had to call which took forever to get through but we did and they told us exactly what to do with the trash.. so for any of you staying in the future it’s in the downstairs closet area outside and the key is hanging by front door.
Also it was snowing when we went and the parking for the cabin is on the street which would be fine in the summer but in the winter there were so many cars hydroplaning and our car got hit, horrible way to end the trip but regardless the cabin was great! We would stay there again but park in a different location.

This house is nicely located across the road from Donner lake. It is a busy road at times, but easy enough to cross over and walk along the lake. The house is very basic but had all we needed to make a simple meal and it was comfortable for hanging out. Thanks.

There were issues with this house that were known about before our arrival that we had to deal with during our stay. We were offered zero compensation for our inconvenience which is very unsatisfactory to me. If anything goes wrong you have to relay a message through a management company that’s out of state. Super annoying and time consuming. In general the cabin is fine. It’s not terrible, and it’s not awesome. The bathrooms were clean as was the kitchen. The carpeting throughout definitely needs updating and looks grungy dirty. There is a fairly busy road in front of the cabin that you have to cross to get to the lake. The road is noisy, and the cabin itself makes a lot of creaking noises. In the kitchen there was no cutting board, or bowls for mixing or making a salad in. The knives wouldn’t cut through whipped cream they’re so dull. We slept upstairs, and found the bed to be very uncomfortable. Not a place on my list to ever stay at again.

Really helpful local staff during snow, good location
Really enjoyed the stay at the cabin! We arrived in the middle of a snow storm and no wifi because of comcast. Grace, the local team has been very patient to us and very helpful, she quickly find a wifi hotspot for us to keep connected!
The location is really nice, picture perfect, although it is worth mentioning that there's a street between the lake and cabin.
Several minor complains / caveats:
1. The parking spot is really not ideal during winter, during a snow/rain storm, the ground accumulate a lot of water and it is hard to access the car. Also I would appreciate if the parking spot has more obvious signs
2. The cabin is kind of small. It is a perfect size for a single family in our case, I cannot see how it can fit 2 families though.

We enjoyed our stay. Very clean and well stocked. We would gladly stay again.
But 10am check out early😔
We couldn't get tv to work, not that important for us this stay.
Parking down on street, needed to carry luggage/supplies up stairs.
FYI We couldn't figure out how to turn off light by stairs, and gallon ziplock bags empty, outlet behind toaster only one plug worked

The house is right across the street from the Lake. Public docks are all over the Lake so we grabbed one and had the best lake days. There were also some restaurants in walking distance. There are also trails upon trails nearby! I would highly recommend.
