This was our second time staying at Pentwater House and it was perfect for our needs…close to Pentwater Center and the beach, all the amenities that we needed for our week of vacation and a cute cottage feel to the house. The owners are great, communicate well and were very accommodating when a change came up in our schedule. I can see us staying at the Pentwater House again sometime! 😊

The property had everything we needed to make our stay in Pentwater pleasant. Kitchen had all necessities for dining in. Bathroom is small but sufficient. Bedrooms had plenty of pillows and closet space. We stayed for a week and the owner was quite responsive to our needs. It was strange to find no screen on the bedroom window so we couldn't leave it open to fresh air, which I enjoy so much about this town. The AC worked well. The lighting in the bath is limited so in the shower was dark in the night. We found one of the beds to be a bit soft for two grown adults. Also the house is on the main road into town so on busy days traffic noise elevates. VERY close to water views and the marina.

We have stayed here three times and found the house located close to the beach, marina, and downtown. The owner contacted me to make sure that we had all of the information that we needed to enjoy our visit.

This was my second year staying at the Pentwater House and I booked for next year before leaving…. So much is provided, linens, towels, cleaning supplies, paper products, etc…… The place is clean and comfortable, although the mattresses could be a little firmer….. We love the fire pit area and back deck….. Close enough to the beach and shopping, yet it’s quiet when you need to unwind…

Perfect place and location for family vacation near a pristine beach and cute town. Plenty of shopping and a few good restaurants and plenty of ice cream. House had lots of amenities to make your stay enjoyable. Fire pit , grill, air conditioning, traditional coffee maker, toaster, hair dryer and plenty of dishes. Paper towel and toilet paper to last your entire stay. Not having to run to the store multiple times gave us more time to vacation. Thanks for providing such a welcoming environment. We will be back.

Myself and 3 other friends wanted to stay somewhere between Silver Lake and Ludington. This location was amazing. So easy to get to both locations. The owner was awesome. He was able to text any info I needed and supplied discount codes for rentals on Pentwater lake. The house was fully supplied with all you can need. The price was the best out of any location in the area. The back patio/deck was great and the fire pit was perfect. Overall I would highly recommend if you want a stress free stay in an affordable vrbo!

We just stayed a few days and really enjoyed the location to beach and town. Inside was clean and the fire pit was wonderful!! There is a lot of traffic passing right in front of cottage, couldn't hear it from inside. We've been coming to Pentwater for many years and it's a quaint town with a wonderful family beach and nicely paved walkway alon the channel. Excellent summer vacation spot!

I was a little hesitant at first to book, I like to be closer to the beach…. The Pentwater House was perfect….only a very short drive to the beach….. The place was very comfortable, and very well supplied….. Parking can be a little bit of a problem, but we managed…. So happy, I booked again!

This is the second year we stayed at this property and we’re just as pleased as the first time. The house feels like home. It has everything you need there. It’s location is perfect. We biked into Pentwater everyday for shopping or going to the beach or for ice cream. It’s close to Ludington which is great for shopping and biking on and offf paths. It’s also very close to silver lake where we rode the dunes. The owner is very easy to reach if needed. The property was ready to go upon arrival. Everything was neat and clean. My family loves this house and the Pentwater area. We are already talking about when to rent again for next year.

The responsiveness and kindness of the property manager were refreshing! Check-in was easy, and he was very communicative. The property was clean and quaint and as advertised. I enjoyed the short walk to Pentwater Lake and then just a little further to Lake Michigan.

This little cottage was much older than I expected. It has been somewhat remodeled and was very clean, so not a deal breaker. It reminded me of a grandparent's house, but we slept well despite being on a busy main road. If you want to be in the center of things to do, however, this is not the place for you. Pentwater is a quiet, small town with little to do where most things close at 5:00. This was fine for us, and the location worked well for our plans. It was about 20-30 minutes to Silver Lake, Ludington, and several other places we visited. My biggest issue was the broken washer, but hopefully that has been fixed for future renters. The shower is also very small which might be an issue if you are tall or large. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay at the Pentwater House and the owner was very communicative.

Near the lake and downtown Pentwater this cottage has been recently painted and is great for a small family. The only down side is the shower is small but has great water pressure.
