This is my first time actually writing a review and am doing so to make other potential customers aware of a number of issues before booking the apartment as in truth I believe there was a misrepresentation of the apartment. It is located in a residential area called Colombare. It was advertised as Sirmione. This is misleading. To get to the castle in Sirmione it cost 15euros, it is not near the main tourist area. We would not have booked this apartment if we had known where it actually was.A problem arising from its location was the constant dog barking, at all times of the day and night and a local noisy bar. It was not peaceful. On these factors alone the apartment was overpriced.
Pool was small, didn’t fit many people, no room for sunbathing.
Struck my head off a beam on the balcony.
Only 1set of keys which was inconvenient considering there was a gate to get through then two further doors
The agent did not meet us at the apartment and we had to pick up the keys and leave them off at a Dropbox on the other side of Sirmione, not convenient and not professional.
The final blow was receiving an email from the company stating that they would be taking 250euros from our deposit to pay for the repair of a wardrobe door. I am not sure if this is a scam or not, there was a faulty wardrobe door which seemed to be ‘derailed, we managed as best we could with this during our stay but then to be told it was broken by us...and for it to cost 250euros to repair, quite ridiculous. I am still waiting pictures of the alleged damage!
I would not stay here again and definitely do not think it is worth the price, the agents have been very poor and overall I am disappointed.
