Loved the house, but advise you to read my tips to the end. It's a very large and well equipped house, with spacious outdoor areas and heated outdoor showers we enjoyed. Our host Silvio was so kind and helpful, a really lovely man. He helped to organise taxis on many of the days to get out to the supermarket, to a winery tour we'd booked and to and from the airport when other cabs we'd arranged simply failed to arrive. The house is right on the beach too which was lovely, with discounted access to the resort beach (€3 euro to get in instead of €8 - loungers and umbrellas are extra) and a small stretch of free beach right in front of the house. When you get into Catania town itself, you will fall in love with it like we did, with excellent restaurants, cocktail bars, atmosphere and sights to explore.
A few things to be aware of about the area itself that will help you enjoy your stay and the house - you absolutely need a car, worth it even just for things like supermarket shops (there is not even a local shop or restaurant in walking distance ). Getting to and from the airport or Catania is a painstaking experience: the busses are not reliable, often simply not running throughout the day (even when google insists they are) or coming up to an hour late. The taxi 'system' is perhaps worse and I lost a lot of holiday time and patience to it. No Uber (Free Now works on the meter but can mean you risk getting stung with a high tourist fee at the end). Cabs we'd prearranged through reputable local sources often didn't show up for an hour, telling you they were arriving then leaving you in the hot sun to wait and doubt whether they were ever really coming. Best to have Silvio help you but even then not a sure thing. The house is a long way from Catania and that will be a struggle if you plan to go in most days - better to use the house for a beach base with sparing trips to town. Being by the beach, the mosquitoes are unbelievable and ruthless. A few mosquito nets in the bedrooms might solve the horror of this issue but we were absolutely eaten alive, even after being very strict about keeping doors abd windows shut. The final thing to bear in mind, Friday and Saturday night the resort next door becomes a beach night club with loud music until literal sunrise. Even the heavy sleepers in our group got no sleep. My advice would be to plan avoid Friday and Saturday if this is not your thing or enjoy it to the fullest and join them out there if you're into it - we unfortunately arrived on a Friday already underslept so the experience was a bit gruelling, but would have loved to get involved had we been better rested.

A beautiful place, very close to the beach. In the yard plenty of space, showers, flowers, birds, etc. Very cosy. All amenities you need.
Inside shower and kitchen is in another building. It is private, close, but anyway you must walk through outside. The yard is big, but inside it is no way 60 square meters. I would say 30. All photos in the main booking page are made from big four bedroom villa, and has nothing to do with this small one (one bedroom villa). So look carefully what you are booking. The place where you can have a normal dinner, or buy something is far away (5 km or even more). No transport, so you should have a car, or go by taxi which is quite expensive.

The house is located directly on the sand-beach with a restaurant near to it. It is very good suitable for four adults and 4 to 5 children. There are two normal double bedrooms and two rooms with two-store beds. The living room is comfortable. The garden is well equipped with showers outside and a stone oven plus grill, enough space to sit outside during high season.
1. Every windows has to become a built-in moskito net. We had problems with moscitos and the rooms look like the problems are not new (stains of dead moskitos on the walls)
2. We had problems with taking shower in the house with water running everywhere in the bathroom. The both bathrooms have reached a condition, where they have to be seriously improved/rebuild.
3. One double bed is in a very small room and is not suitable for adults, because you have to climb up a ladder, or climb down going to the toilet in the night.
3. There are many gates in the complex that have to be opened while arriving, leaving, going to the beach etc. and every gate has a different key... It takes a lot of time to find the right key.
