Love it was like home from home I’ve stayed at this place 3 times but first time at the Shakespeare we love the roomy feel but think we would stay at the Brontë suite again .
Big shower head we couldn’t get to work but had a smaller one little bit noisy on the front but it won’t put me off staying again
4.7
layout, nice and bright, well decorated,
well stocked with tea coffee with machine coffee
disappointed that the windows which we reported last time a year ago were still not functioning as they should
the apartment had been shut up so was at 25c no air conditioning to cool apartment down
beware cooking as the sensors are very sensitive and high up went off

Excellent location for my needs. Great apartment and was more than we expected. Good to see the old library still being used and yes I’m old enough to remember it as the library!
4.7
Beautiful apartment. Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Quirky features.
We were baffled when we couldn't find the light switch in the bathroom. The electric sockets tripped but we didn't plug anything in.

just really unique… lovely and warm and some nice touches around biscuits coffee provided

Everything is brilliant
The bed was a little too hard for my liking but that’s just my preference other then that a fabulous stay.
4.7
lots of little welcoming features
coffee machine didn’t seem to work and the shower drainage was poor
4.7
spacious and interesting building
No balcony although advertised as having a balcony. carpets dirty, bulbs in lights need replacing, tv remote not working leaving tv impossible to use, windows unable to open as handles broken. The apartment would be lovely if a little TLC was added.

The arrangements in the room are fantastic. They maintain all traditional things with modern facilities.
The reception can be bit more attractive.
Car Parking in street side.

The apartament looks really nice, the building is very old and it has a wonderful personality. Amazing looking living room, nice bar, comfy beds. Good deal for the money.
It took a while to find the location, as the postcode takes you somewhere else.
The surroundings of the building are not the friendliest, it didn't make me feel safe walking on the street to be honest.
The staircase kids gate was very difficult to install (good thing they had one available in the storage), unfortunately our little one (3 years old) still fell down the stairs when the gate became unstable. Luckily, she was ok with just a few scratches, the stairs carpet was soft enough to absorb the shock all the way down. I suggest installing a fixed childproof system, as the stairs handrail is starting from the second step, the danger of falling is higher than in normal UK stairs designs.
The bathroom a bit mouldy and the finishing look a bit superficial, but you can see that a lot of effort was put into making it look nice.
The windows are lower than normal and there is no safety lock for kids, this might be very dangerous if a child goes out on the roof in a split of a second when the window is fully open. Abrupt angled roof, 15m height, you do the math...Better to be safe than sorry ...🙂

spacious clean the architecture as it was a library and still has original fixtures and glass windows
I would quite easily sell up and move in
there is a shower and a bath in an open plan bedroom
nothing

Apartment was out of this world, very homely
King size bed mattress was too hard for my liking

Location suited my needs perfectly as I have family in Mexborough and Rawmarsh and Swinton is in the middle. The apartment was well equipped and towels, bed linen, toiletries were all provided. Although we had brought our own it was also nice to see that tea and coffee were provided and the fridge was an excellent size
Minor irritant was the spoke alarm went off every time despite opening all window and having extractor fan on full. other than that everything else was very good and met all expectations. My wife and I are over 70 and as we were on the top floor, the stairs were tiresome.

A lovely property with excellent amenities. Location is not a normal tourism area but is close to the Peaks and met our needs very well. Parking is via a side street.
We were short on spoons as a cutlery item. We didn't realise there were washing machines until the final day (hidden in the bathroom)! No check out requirements listed (hopefully we met them).

Wonderful stay - bright spacious rooms, cleanliness top notch and great facilities.

Fabulous restoration of a former library. loved the mix of period features with modern comforts.

nothing it was great!

Very clean. Towels, tea towels, all essential items needed or required for the kitchen and bathroom were provided. Stunning decor and beautiful comfortable furnishings throughout the apartment. Lots of room. Hospitality tray. Spa style slippers provided. Lots of storage areas (drawers, cupboards). Instructions on how to enter the building then the apartment were very clear and easy to follow.
First impressions when walking in the main front door seeing fold up bed, high chair, etc in the stairwell let the ambience of the place down.
In the apartment one of the bedrooms had odds and ends stored in a corner which was meant to function as a wardrobe. I wouldn't have wanted to hang my clothes there! There was no shower mat and the shower tray became very slippery during washing ... The hot water tap on the feature bath didn't work. Very disappointing. I contacted the manager about this and he apologised and said he would get someone to look at it.
For the type of apartment and cost I would have expected better quality in the "little touches" such as bathroom products (we have stayed in other places for less and been treated to high end individual shower gel, shampoo sets) and wooden coat hangers rather than the mis matched supermarket variety that was provided in this apartment.

Character property. Spacious, nicely furnished and equipped. Tea and coffee provided plus snacks. Good, powerful showers. Host was very helpful.
Minor things such as some light bulbs not working, the holder for the shower head in the bathroom was broken so didn’t hold it in place when the shower was running, so had to hold it otherwise water pressure meant it had a mind of its own! A velux blind was broken so one bedroom was too light. Would also suggest blackout linings for curtains in main bedroom but better lighting in bathroom.
