Our family (including an infant and young child) had a wonderful stay here. The owners are so thoughtful, helpful, and really thought of everything to make the house comfortable. There is everything you could need in the kitchen. Plenty of towels and bedding. The floors are gorgeous hardwood and the patio deck is a good size to grill and enjoy dinner. The bedrooms are even large enough for desks and dressers along with the beds. The home is bright and open. It’s a short walk to restaurants, grocery stores, parks, even a free public pool. There was always parking on the street and neighbors are very friendly and welcoming (while still giving you privacy). We will absolutely stay here again if we can!

A perfect welcome to Montreal
We had a wonderful stay at Marc and Patti's apartment. It's extremely well-equipped with all the kitchen items that you might need and thoughtful touches - for us a set of children's books right on the bedside table for my son. The apartment was roomy and very clean. There's a spacious rear balcony where we could enjoy dinner and sunsets. We had great communication from the hosts throughout our stay, orienting us to the NDG neighborhood and the greater city.

Great apartment, excellent location
We had a wonderful long weekend at this apartment. It's very well equipped, it has everything one could need for a comfortable stay.
Marc and Patti make sure everything is all right, and explain very thoroughly all the details in the apartment. Location is good, about 30 mins from downtown, but near public transportation which makes things easier. It is a very quiet neighborhood and we liked it very, very much.
Thanks, Marc and Patti!!! We will come back!

Great location & hosts!
Marc was very welcoming when we arrived and checked in with us during our stay to ask if everything was OK. The property is very clean and well appointed, it had everything we needed for our family of 4. Nice, short walk to restaurants, cafes and grocery store. Great neighbourhood location. Our visit was short (3 nights) and we plan to return to stay with Marc & Patti again!

Lovely property
The apartment was everything we had hoped for, there was lots of room for storage and plenty of space to have some quiet time when needed. It was comfortable, clean and well resourced , with a lovely outdoor seating area at the back of the property. In the area there were plenty of shops to buy food, and several restaurants within a reasonable walk from the property.
All in all we had a lovely stay and would love to visit again.

A real home away from home
Lovely spacious comfortable apartment very well kitted out for cooking and comfy living. Marc was very helpful and prompt in responses. The home is very well situated for train and bus connections , a great way to get to know Montreal , just to be aware that it does take 1/2 hour to hour to get to main tourist places on transit .

Clean, Comfortable Apt in Montreal
I stayed here with my family and found the apartment very clean, comfortable and convenient. It is as described and pictured. The terrace off the back was excellent for early morning lunches or a relaxing end of the day snack/drink. Marc, the property owner, was very accommodating and kept in contact throughout our stay. The place was well furnished, with lots of closet space, all good quality linens and towels provided. The kitchen was very well stocked and Marc even left some snacks for us to tie us over after a late night arrival. The bathroom is small, but clean and has everything you need. Air conditioners were a little noisy, but worked well. The place is on the second floor up a flight of stairs, which were fine for us, but might be a little difficult for very young kids, etc. The apartment is in a quiet residential, very green neighborhood next to quite a few parks/playgrounds. Parking is available on the street. I would stay here again on my next visit to Montreal. Thank you Marc!

Knowing Patti & Marc, I felt like I won the lottery!
Excellent checkin. Marc approached me one day before I arrive informing he’ll be waiting for me despite my very late check-in! He was reachable by mobile. Patti & Marc are super friendly host I ever met through out my travels. We had very good communication and informative support. The house was clean, fully equipped and matched with what we needed. Patti gave careful attention to every single detail to successfully starting our first few days in her house. Street view with wonderful aged trees and squirrels running through! Netflix was something we didn’t expect to have indeed which my family was excited to entertain! We arrived in the end of February, almost end of the winter season. The house was heated around 24hrs. Big privilege of having access to 51; 104/138 and 103 buses leading to the metro stations or even directly to the downtown. I didn’t need to having a private car! No restaurants right around but within walking distance there are plenty of and there’s METRO (more than supermarket!). I hope all the best to Patti and Marc with their nice house in Montreal. Patti & Marc were my first Canadian connection. True North and pure sample of what Canadian ethics represent.

Fantastic "home base" in Montreal
Simply put, the place was great. Anything you could need is within walking distance (grocery, pharmacy, restaurants, bank, etc. . ) The place itself is in a quaint neighborhood that is quiet and well taken care of. We were there to drop our daughter off for school, and stayed 3 nights. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, dining room, family room (with large HDTV) and a kitchen. All the rooms are decorated nicely, and were clean and comfortable. The kitchen is ridiculously well appointed. While it’s not terribly large, it has everything you would need to cook just about anything. They even had a salad spinner, which I don’t even have in my home kitchen. There are extra blankets, towels, toiletries, and the like. They even left us coffee and creamer because they knew we were getting in late and wouldn’t have time to stop at a store.
There is a washer and dryer for laundry, and there are a couple of window air conditioning units (although we didn’t need them in late August). The service was fantastic. We had a few things that we needed to put together for our college Freshman, and the owner provided me tools to use!
Normally when I rent a place like this, I just like my own space, so I was a little hesitant when I found out that the owners live right below. It wasn’t an issue at all. We had our own space, it was private, and actually we felt like we were part of the neighborhood for 3 days. My only regret is that I was very busy all weekend and didn’t really get to spend more time there.
The owners were willing to bend over backwards for anything we needed, and they were super friendly. We’ll definitely stay here again.

One Week Stay
My husband and our two grown kids were visiting Montreal for the first time visiting from Minnesota. The apartment was perfect for our one week stay. The airport was not far away and getting downtown took a reasonable amount of time with several routes and transportation options. The apartment itself was clean and lots of room so we could come back after a busy day touring the city and relax.
Marc and Patti are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome! I would definitely recommend the property.

Clean, quiet, spacious and very family friendly
My husband, toddler and I stayed here for two nights. It was exactly as advertised: very clean, in a quiet neighbourhood, spacious and it had everything we needed (lots of fresh towels, every type of kitchen implement, some pantry items, and shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom). Marc was great to deal with and we had an excellent stay. I would highly recommend this property.

Great Stay!
My family and I (including two kids) stayed at Marc's place for a few days. The place is very clean, quite spacious and had all the amenities you could need. It's located in a quiet neighbourhood, with a park and community pool nearby along with grocery stores and restaurants. Marc was there to greet us when we arrived, and made sure we had everything we needed!

Wonderful vacation home
I wanted a place where four of us could stay while visiting for a family birthday, and Marc and Patti's apartment was perfect in every respect: meticulously clean, comfortable, roomy, and equipped with everything we could think of needing (lots of fans as well as AC) as well as nice touches like a Roku with Netflix and an awning over the back porch seating area that made it even more pleasant. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, but there's a handy shopping area and a few restaurants near by, and a little further on a wonderful Middle Eastern grocery store on Sherbrooke as well as the buzzier strip along Monkland. We actually entertained the larger family group at the apartment for a couple of meals, which was easy because everything was provided in the kitchen and there is a table that seats up to 8. (Catering from Snowdon Deli, very good). The honoree was thrilled that she could just come over to such a nice space, and didn't have to lift a finger. It really helped to make the weekend special, and we could not have been happier. Marc and Patti are also perfect hosts.

A lovely home away from home
The apartment was lovely and Marc and Patti were so helpful in sharing information to make our stay in Montreal easy and fun. They even dug up some toys from their own kids' early years, to entertain ours. A great place to stay.

A gem - large, clean apartment in a great location
We are VRBO/Homeaway owners and are very picky about the places we stay, and I cannot say enough great things about this place. The owners, who live in an adjacent unit, were professional and generous from the beginning, and even gave us a list of restaurant recommendations (with a map). The apartment was clean and well-decorated, with a spacious, well-appointed kitchen, large TV and outdoor deck (unfortunately our schedule did not enable us to take advantage of any of these!). Everything looks exactly like the photos. The bed was very comfortable.
While we were just 2 people, the apartment would be completely appropriate for a family.
The apartment is located on a quiet street with ample on-street parking. It was an easy drive into Old Montreal and to other parts of the city. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Host shows adaptability
Our host for this VRBO property was more than gracious about our change of plans. He gave us many recommendations for restaurants, directions into town, and even provided us with a bottle of wine on our arrival. The apartment was was newly redecorated and very well equipped. I would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling with with a larger family. It was super clean and we felt very welcomed there!

exceptional property, exceptional hosts
My husband, mother-in-law and two young children were looking for a place to stay in Montreal that would be comfortable, clean, quiet and near attractions. Our expectations were easily met and exceeded by this property and its excellent owners. As I told Marc when we left, it can be challenging travelling with two toddlers, and Marc and Patti's thoughtfulness made our vacation almost as comfortable as being in our own house - not a small accomplishment!
Even before we got out of the car neighbours greeted us and introduced themselves. The neighbourhood was beautiful with large trees and well-manicured yards, and all of the amenities were within blocks (a grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, etc.). When I looked on the map I noticed that there is a hospital only a few blocks away and I was a little bit concerned that it would be noisy. While we did hear ambulances, it was much quieter than I expected and didn't bother us at all.
It was a great jumping off point to get around the city. With tons of construction going on, in a car it took us about twenty minutes to get downtown, twenty to get to the Biodome and twenty to get to the lookout on Mount Royal (one of the neighbours let us borrow his binoculars so we could get a better view). It was a great place to come home to at the end of the a busy day and unwind out of the downtown core.
Marc and Patti thought of everything we'd need - everything from coffee, snacks, an extra bed for my mother-in-law, maps to the nearest parks where the kids could play, and food staples in the kitchen. They even included a bottle of wine with a personalized note. The house has been beautifully updated and has plenty of room for five guests or more. We only needed to stay for a few nights, but we would have been very comfortable staying longer. We felt like we were at a luxury hotel and Marc and Patti treated us more like old friends than boarders.
Overall I would highly recommend this property! I really have nothing but incredibly positive things to say. We feel very lucky to have been Marc and Patti's first guests - the first of many very satisfied guests I'm sure!
