Whether you are vacationing from afar, escaping San Francisco summer fog, tending a nearby remodel or planning a girlfriend getaway, you will feel like you are on vacation in this home. Step inside the gate off a prestigious, quiet, and convenient street and you are greeted with a jewel of a place to relax, entertain and plan your next adventure, although many days you might not want to leave the premises!
All 2200sf thoughtfully planned, this home lives like a dream. Refinished for our family of 5, the master suite is upstairs and the other 3 bedrooms and bath are downstairs. Separate comfy TV/DVR/stereo zones up (living room) and down (family room) mean you can live comfortably as a couple with occasional guests or as a family with teens or younger children.
Also upstairs: dining room (seats 10+ w/leaves), living room (fireplace, TV/DVR), powder room, fully-equipped kitchen w/ice machine and 3-stool bar seating, breakfast nook (seats 6), sun room, two sets of french doors opening to large rear sundeck with outdoor dining table and bench seating area, 3-zone indoor-outdoor stereo system.
Also downstairs: laundry room and storage area. Downstairs has cozy ceilings (about 7') and is partially below grade. All rooms have windows and good natural light, and there is a separate exit to the back yard from the family room.
Premises: The back yard is serene and private and features a pool (unheated 15x30), stand-alone 3-4 person hot tub, a grilling patio and a nicely landscaped grass area bordered by a walnut tree, lemon trees, rose bushes, crepe myrtles and more. Evening garden lights in the front and rear add to the elegant, festive ambience.
Parking: There is plenty of street parking in front of the house and across the street -- never a problem. Optionally, the gravel driveway holds two cars end-to-end inside the manual iron gate. Front entrance to the home is a circular brick walk, and paths left and right thru gates around the home are nicely landscaped with ivy, flowering bushes and trees.
We use this home regularly ourselves, and so we can honestly say that this home has everything you need to just relax and enjoy.

Our family loved our stay in this beautiful house. The location is perfect to be able to visit San Francisco, Oakland, John Muir, and wine country. The surrounding area is convenient to groceries, small restaurants, and water sports.
The home is spacious enough to spread out and the rooms are comfortable. The home is very well appointed and beautifully decorated. The backyard is an oasis.
Ozzie is a great host and very responsive. We look forward to our next visit to the Bay Area!

Had a great time. The house was advertised as sleeping 8. We had 7. Unfortunately that was for 4 couples. The master bedroom had a king sized bed which was awesome. The othe 3 bedrooms had one full-sized bed in each. We had a teen and a single woman with us, so one had to sleep on the couch.

We stayed here for a week and it could not have been better. I am from the area originally(a mile away). We were there for my mother's celebration of life and I wanted to feel at home and comfortable. This property exceeded our expectations.
The house is fully stocked with linens, kitchen appliances, dishes etc.
It is the perfect place to stay, in my opinion, if one were visiting the bay area for the first time. It is in close proximity to the SF Ferry building, hiking, wine tasting, markets, restaurants, etc. . It is truly central.
The host is responsive and welcoming. We plan on returning!

Great vacation in Kentfield
We loved staying here. The interior décor is beautifully done in the French Provencal style. It was a delight to open the front door every time and drink in the colors and the light.
The swimming pool, hot tub and deck were lovely and we spent many happy hours outside, talking and laughing and recharging.
A daytrip to San Francisco was a breeze thanks to the Larkspur Ferry Terminal that's so close by. And driving out to Napa Valley was easy to do too. Don't forget to have a cappuccino at the Woodlands Market.

Gem in Kentfield
A very pleasant surprise in Kentfield. We wanted to stay in Marin and discovered this property in a very quiet walkable neighborhood.
The house is very clean and well appointed with a charming French country home feel. It features a swimming pool which our family enjoyed during our hot summer stay and spent many hours just hanging out on the patio deck.
We really appreciate Ozzie’s (home owner) responsiveness to our queries. We look forward to staying here on our next vacation.

Sweet Escape from the city
Ozzie’s place is incredible! We didn’t want to leave. We came for the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon (which I successfully escaped) but enjoyed a sweet escape from reality in this perfect cottage. The honeysuckle smell greeted us at the front of the house, making a great first impression. The house was the cleanest I have ever seen. Not a spec if dust and not a spot of dirt on the floors!! Well equipped home with all necessities and more. The decor was absolutely amazing (whimsical and a story throughout) kids enjoyed the pool…very clean! Adults enjoyed the hot tub…again, very clean! House situated in an upscale neighborhood, so we felt very safe. 10/10 would recommend this home!! Thanks Ozzie!!

Mom’s 100th Celebration
We returned to this VRBO to join together as a family to celebrate GG’s 100th!!! It felt like coming home again! Such a perfect location and everything was as we remembered it!!! Wish the hot tub had been functional but we empathize with trying to get parts with the supply chain issues and all…. The grandchildren wanted to stay longer and were sad to leave! What a great spot for a home base on our vacation. We only wish we had more down time in this lovely home. Tons of natural light, great comfy beds, room for everyone, well maintained indoors and out, starry skies at night, peaceful spot, and gracious hosts. Easy access to surrounding towns/cities/hikes. We would love to return one day.

The house is beautiful in a very quiet area.. very clean with everything needed to have a great vacation. The backyard is beautiful and very private. The only things to improve are the Spa was not functional at all. The BBQ was not working too.

Touch of the Mediterranean
This is a charming cottage, decorated in sunny Mediterranean style. Space is well laid out with several sitting areas, including two with TV's, and an inviting back deck. Should note that pool is not heated and hot tub heater was not functioning during our visit so those features not practical during cold weather (we had ice on the deck), Kitchen is well-equipped, even a wine cooler. Neighborhood is quiet and a short drive to restaurants, hiking, and other services in Marin and host was very helpful in offering recommendations. Must also mention the terrific sheets. (I plan to get some).

Bride’s Family Home Away From Home
We had an absolutely amazing stay leading up to my daughter’s wedding in nearby Nicasio. Family travelled from all over and it was wonderful having the house as a base for all of the dress fittings and preparations for the wedding. The house is beautifully decorated and feels so like a home - our host really made us feel at home and welcome- we created some wonderful family memories during our stay.
The house is in a great location, plenty of restaurants and quality shops close by. We will be back.

Wonderful Comfortable Home base in Marin
A friend and I spent a week working from Ozzie's home in Marin - the house is lovely, spacious, bright and well-decorated. The internet was strong and we had no issue telecommuting (and my friend is a film editor so needed to perform large file transfers for work.) At every turn there's a comfy couch to sink into, a pretty view out the window, and a high-quality bed. Perhaps best of all - although we were working, we ate meals on the deck overlooking the garden, took daily swims in the beautiful pool and went for nearby hikes around Mt. Tam - so our stay felt like holiday all around the edges of each day! Ozzie was quick and responsive to any needs we faced - a great host! Thank you!

Amazing time in Kentfield
Beautiful, really only one word needed to describe this home. Ozzie’s place is really beautiful, it’s open and bright and everything was great! We spent 17 days at the home and it was exactly what we were looking for and would and will rent it again. It’s location in Marin is perfect, close to everything you could want, Bon Air shopping center, 101, so many other great Marin towns. A short hop on 101 gets you into the city in. I time. It was a great trip and we can’t wait to rent again.

Great place for a family reunion
Due to covid, we hadn't seen my 93 year old grandmother in two years. We booked this house because it is near to her retirement home and it had a pool so my young kids could expend a lot of energy while we all hung out.
Great house, great pool, great outdoor deck for eating, comfy beds, a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the house.

We had an amazing time at the house. The property is just beautiful, spacious and inviting. It was the perfect place for all of us to meet up with our kids. Pool and hot tub were awesome as was the deck area for enjoying the fantastic summer weather. We can't wait to come back to Camp Kentfield next year.

We recently moved from Kentfield and coming back to stay at this perfectly located and very comfortable home was such a treat for our whole family. The pool is wonderful, the hosts were terrific, beds are comfortable and there are so many cozy places to hang out even being really covid safe. We hope to come back many times!

Everything about this home made us feel comfortable from the cozy decor to the beautiful tranquil garden. The home is perfectly located close to all the sightseeing spots. The best thing about the house is that it has 3 separate seating areas that you can enjoy. In the morning we would have the sunroom and the evening the front room or TV downstairs. We will definitely return. I already miss it.

Great house
Our family stayed at Ozzie’s for two weeks while our own nearby home had some work done. The house is terrific. It has lots of nooks so our family of five could all have separate spaces to work and attend school on zoom. The backyard is peaceful and lovely with an unheated pool that our daughters enjoyed on hot days. We had everything we needed in the house which is very cute. The location is on a somewhat fast, but not particularly busy street. It’s in a very convenient and central location to shopping. I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood (there are some beautiful old stately homes) house peeping and walking to San Anselmo on the bike path to a favorite bakery. Ozzie was super attentive to our one hiccup (lights out in one bedroom) and we didn’t have a single other issue. Thank you, Ozzie. You’ve got a great house in Marin!

The home was very accommodating, and is as it reads in the description. Follow the rules, and everything will be as if you're in your own home. Kentfield Hideaway
We liked our stay in September so much that when my wife and I returned for an extended visit with family again in December this was a natural choice for us. Celebrating Christmas here felt very homey for all of us. The place is bright and cheery with all the amenities we needed. The location is perfect for access to San Francisco and Napa.

Great stay, convenient area, beautiful home.
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house. We have two small children so traveling can be difficult, but we really enjoyed this property. The owners were accommodating and friendly, the entire area is beautifully manicured and within exploring distance of just about anything you would want to do or see. Very convenient to San Fran, especially with the ferry. Actually, the ferry ride is an adventure in-and-of-itself, so if you sty here you should try to do it. In any event, we loved the place. Thank you for the wonderful trip.
